This song was written by Bill Wright from the Circular Road, off the Holywood Road Belfast.

I'm not sure who sang it,but I knew Bill, and he gave me a tape of the original recording.

He was a real gentleman, but unfortunately he pased away a couple of years ago.

Mind you he was a good age, (he was in the RAF in WW11), so it wasn't eating Ulster fries that did it!

I moved to Scotland and asked for a fry. No Taty Breed or Soda. There was a little black shit on it but. Needless to say I wasn't impressed.

I think most fry ups from all over the British Isles have something worthwhile. I think the best thing about the Scottish one is our black pudding - we've got the best, undoubtedly. Stornoway - Charlie Barley's as I call it. It's a pity we don't have sodabread and tatty breid with ours, though. I'd have to say our square sausage is outstanding too, and we certainly eat potato scones.
