  • looks more like a promotion video for nike :P

  • This video is legit by the way. Very inspiring and these workouts make me want to try them. No wonder these are some of the baddest dudes on the planet that you would never see coming if you picked a fight with one. Great Video!!

  • lol did u guys notice that in 6:46 they had nike shoes on

  • What is the name of this martial art? Please someone tell me

  • @piranhasportsteam shuai jiao

  • Is it so that Jiu-Jitsu's takedowns are comming from (are originated in) Shuai Jiao? How old is this martial art and how did it came to be?

btw. really nice movie (from artistical point of view) and music was owesome!

  • @kataraktowiec

Shuia Jiao predates the written word.

  • @VanishingNomad

    but are they connected historically?

  • @kataraktowiec

What became judo, and jujitsu probably came to japan when the Japanese people did in ancient times. Ultimately, it most likely all started in Mongolia and spread all across Asia, and Europe. I doubt the Japanese people invented this stuff.

Throwing and Wrestling is in our genes. Even primitive tribes in South America have native arts that seem to be a mix of Shuai Jiao and Greco Roman Wrestling. These arts go back to the dawn of man I am sure.

  • @VanishingNomad

Do you know the names of these arts from South America?

btw. I thought it all started in China/India not in Mongolia... I have never heard of any martial art from Mongolia.

Does anyone here know of any book about history of Martial Arts?

  • @ChelVannin Yea he pretty much is saying he would practice every single moment alot intill it's just nature to do it.

  • Awesome... you can see the roots of jiu-jitsu everywhere

  • This was about 3 or 4 years ago and I was only 11, I wish I could have been here, back then I knew nothing of the arts, I know alot of combative moves but I still no nothing, so I wish I could go now to understand more. (this is not the art i am studying though)

  • The song is actually Jay Chou's Fearless. Just in case anyone wanted to know the song.

  • @raversdieyung merci pour le son. thinks for the song.

  • @YyJoBb

    capoeira and kalaripayattu..

capoeira has a lot of straight body stretches so does kalaripayattu.. i bet these martial arts should make u taller

  • @anirudhkrishnamani no becuase the acrobatics make you smaller it seems

  • @JKT6

not acrobatics they do allot of straight body stretches.. u k now from head to toe which makes u taller.

i practice kalaripayattu and i gained an inch and a half of height after i practiced it..(i was 19 when i started)..

i used to think that i i would never become taller.. but it helped in the end.

  • 4:22 ..."Just do it"...

  • @YyJoBb The art of making babies with a tall partner.

  • Comment removed

  • Cool video, but so you know what's more impressive than doing all those tricks? Do you know what's harder than Levitating a car with your mind?

Listening to that song all the way through.

I made it halfway through the video, before muting.

Once you achieve this, then all else is Childs Play.

  • I can do all that at home...I want to see Kill Bill training...

  • I need the song, whats is the name`s sonng?

  • @locurafull666 Jay chou-Fearless my good sir. And yes that is the first song.

  • hi , shuai chiao lovers! does anyone know which music is this?

its quite motivating.. i would appreciate the name of the song or the group.. thanks!

    xiexie! shuai forever!!!

  • @bofrasamayooosha

the first song is called "Huo Yuan Jia" or "霍元甲" singing by Jay Chou. The second one is called"龙拳" by Jay Chou as well.

  • In China, everything Martial is AWESOME!!! That's why I love Chinese Wushu!!!

  • @ChelVannin why are you telling me this

  • @YyJoBb

    kick boxing

  • this camp will be in 2011?if yes when?

  • I wona learn this ;)

  • wonder if al the bending over and the "being topless" aproach , was for the old dude in silk trousers...

  • What i'm wondering here is what's the fist song called?

  • traditional training is the best

most modern day training is just sparring and repeatedly hitting a bag or something for a long period of time

so what if you can throw a really good punch or kick, in a real cold blood fight, its all about endurance and technique

  • @dynastyflygon most modern day training is not much different than this, the stone padlock style weights are used just like kettlebells, what do you mean so what if you can throw a really good punch? 1 punch is all it takes matey!

  • @singhakabuttar a fight is not just 1 punch or kick

  • @dynastyflygon having the ability to knock someone out, is a definite advantage, in which case a fight could be just that! 1 punch KO, lights out, nighty night!

  • @dynastyflygon actually that's not it at all, i once fought a brown belt in some martial art or seomthing, he did that stuff for years, where as i just keep very fit and punch bags alot, he probably learsn stuff like "concentration is key" i drove one punch, and he attempted to block it, but my hand just kept going and got him in the chin, i never had any "martial art training" it the long run, martial arts probably only helps by 20% if your already very fit.

  • @TasteForDisaster martial arts do not only keep you fit, it improves your reflexes and it trains willpower, something that cannot be accomplished by hitting bags

  • @dynastyflygon if you have the willpower to punch bags daily for hours then i'd say you don't need any training for that. and reflexes, well, i'm not expecting some ninja to attack me out of a bush on my way to work.

  • @TasteForDisaster punching bags are nothing compared to standing in a LEGIT horse stance for a hour while keeping perfect form

"well, i'm not expecting some ninja to attack me out of a bush on my way to work. "

so how is going to work martial arts related?

martial arts is a lifestyle (im saying this because i dont think its getting through your head)

which means that the enhanced reflex you gain from practicing it isnt just used in fighting situations

its useful in may other applications

  • @dynastyflygon i already have good enough natural reflexes, the only martial art i'd want to train is kendo if anything at all.

  • @TasteForDisaster "i already have good enough natural reflexes"

your arrogance will lead to your downfall

  • @dynastyflygon hmm? hows that? i don't plan on getting into any fights anytime soon, and i always carry a knife on me which i can deploy quickly because it's a well made spring assisted, i'm very experienced with knives, so if i ever run into serious danger i have a self defensive weapon.

  • @TasteForDisaster That's good but surely don't put your life in a sharp piece of metal. When it fails what do you do? Remember, the best weapon is no weapon and the best way is no way. Don't favor one technique or weapon over the other and always consider a "what if" scenario. Remember too that only a fool brings a knife to a gun fight, don't fight if you see a gun. That will end any martial artist just as quick as a proper technique. I don't care how fast your "natural reflexes" are.

  • @bryanzellar i'm not stupid. first of all i wouldn't be going to a "fight". If someone pulled a gun on me, then sure, i'd give him my money, i never carry a lot on me anyways. But if someone is pissed off at me and wants to kill me? what am i supposed to do then? that will most likley never happen... my knife is just an easy way out. would you prefer that i carry one of my guns with my whenever I go out?

  • @TasteForDisaster I never meant to insult you, it just appears you assume to think that a piece of metal and natural "untrained" reflexes can get you out of any situation. I was simply suggesting that you don't limit yourself to one way of thinking. Do you think you have an advantage against someone without a weapon while you have your knife? You are thinking about one attack, the knife. The other guy is thinking about his hands, feet, what he can pick up, running. The knife has odds against it.

  • @TasteForDisaster If the knife is taken away from you, the only source of attack strategy you have thought about, then what are you left with? The other guy has everything and nothing to use while you only have nothing. Do you understand where I am going with this? The best weapon is no weapon and the best way is no way. Don't favor any "way" or thought or technique over another. You will only create limitation within your survival strategy.

  • @TasteForDisaster I guess the point I am trying to get at is you are the source of your survival, not a knife. You can stab people with a knife for self defense, you can also cut carrots with that same knife, you may also be able to use it as a scalpel. The knife is an object that may put you in a certain position of power but it is just metal. Train. Don't think a knife will always work. Even if it does don't assume that it always will because all it takes is that one time that you are wrong.

  • @bryanzellar This is 2011 not 1811. I'm also studying kyudo/archery. but that's bullshit, it's not for real life combat. so your telling me to put my knife away because i'm experienced with it? I'm not the very best martial artist. so carrying a weapon is the best alternative. and other then that, it's not like I'm gonna be fighting anyone. I also take long hikes in forests/hills. what if you come across a bear, are you gonna wrestle him with your martial arts? hahaha....

  • @TasteForDisaster I guess you don't understand my point haha. I am not trying to get you mad so for that I am sorry. I know a knife fighting expert and by expert I mean he is still alive after all of the close encounters and knife fights he has been in. He has scars to show how close he has come to death. He doesn't say the knife saved his life, he says "he" saved his own life by using the knife. Do you follow me? Keep the knife but keep your mind too. Survival is more then who wields the blade

  • @TasteForDisaster And I suggested you train because you can only benefit from it. If you like knives, are experienced with them, and have good reflexes then why stop there? Learn some more shit. You may be a natural. I didn't mean to become a Shoalin Monk lol. And I never said put down the knife, no quite the opposite, master it. Don't leave it at just a few techniques learn everything about it. Do you understand me? lol don't stay good enough, become the greatest. at least make that your goal.

  • @TasteForDisaster And how is archery? I always wanted to take it up. I don't know there is just something badass about a bow :)

  • @bryanzellar archery is really fun, it's not like judo or anything where you do 100 push ups every lesson, it's more relaxing, and it's more of a recreational art then anything else. I live in an area where I can get to an nice spot with lots of room where I can freely shoot at targets

  • @TasteForDisaster I've never done 100 pushups in any of my judo lessons. Judo is about technique. We do push ups to get ready for class. It gets the blood flowing and then we stretch.

  • @TenteixSaigo really? my brother takes judo and tells me he does 100 push ups 3 times during each training session at the dojo, he also gets in the top 3 at most of the tournaments he takes place in, maybe your sensei should be going harder on you guys

  • @TasteForDisaster It's not about strength. We always have the 1st or 2nd place in tournaments. We look to work on technique. We run, do jumping jacks, push ups, and stretch. We warm up, and we wear out. We practice hard at the first, so the last half we're really working on perfecting technique.

  • @TasteForDisaster they are wrestlers. They specialize grabbing a punching arm and twisting it to break it. all those excersizes are to help in close range stand up grappling.

  • @dynastyflygon

    Are you kidding me?

Sparring is what helps you react quickly and gives you the general idea on what to do.

Repeatedly hitting the bag, is the same as hitting a banana tree. Bone conditioning.

But traditional training is more fun!

  • @OVERCAPITALIZE sparring will only help you once you have fully mastered the techniques that you will be using in sparring

only then you can actually focus on reflexes or else you will just be throwing kicks and punches and strikes with bad technique while under pressure

you cant compare a bag to a tree

a tree will condition your bones

    a bag wont

  • @dynastyflygon

Are you serious? Bone remodeling is in the process when ever you breaking (microsize) damage to the bone. So your saying there is no conditioning what so ever at hitting bags?

So what's the point in hitting bags any more right? Go tell that to all pro-muaythai fighters.

  • @dynastyflygon Sparring is essential to learning proper technique. You can throw some beautiful kicks at a bag or in the air that are "mastered". But when you spar you tend to forget about technique and focus on instinct. I have seen Black belts in various Martial arts lose to our white belts who spar once a week. Those white belts have mastered their level of techniques better then the Black belts who never sparred. And a bag does condition bones, scientific fact.

  • @bryanzellar you know what else conditions bones? bricks and stone walls

    10 times more time efficient

and i think i need to clarify myself

sparring is essential however, most of the schools i have visited just throw the students into sparring and under the pressure, the students just deliver crappy strikes and kicks because the proper technique of the kick and strike are not second nature to them

so my message was aimed mostly at the mcdojos (which now make up more thank 70% of dojos)

  • @dynastyflygon Well sure brick can do it, I never said it couldn't. I just thought I would enlighten you that so can a bag :) Also I love the traditional stuff like this vid, I just know from experience that the only way to understand a technique is to do in an actual fight. That is the only way. To "master" anything is by doing it obviously. Technique-Speed-Reflex- and then strength if ya want. When it hits all by itself, then and only then is it effective.

  • @dynastyflygon You are right about the Dojos. Nobody wants to learn traditional stuff anymore. It is all MMA. So I think masters are giving people that experience instead of basics. I think too many don't even consider sparring or too many consider only sparring. I was fortunate to find my Dojo in Phoenix. My Sensei was trained by Ed Parker, he is the real deal. I only wish I was still there. It has been years but I will never forget all I learned there. It is my standard for everything else now

  • @bryanzellar MMA? that fuckin sucks, I LOVE the traditional stuff, i love japan martial arts especially. Judo, karate, aikido, kyudo, kendo, you name it, i love it. It's those premature 12 year olds who watch T.V. and want to act like Big Guys, and don't even know what martial arts are about. most of them are about your state of mind.

  • @TasteForDisaster I am not sure what you mean by my state of mind? I respect MMA but it isn't street fighting. It isn't self defense, it is a sport. If you are saying that people who want only MMA are people like me then I would have to disagree. I am one to try anything and everything that works. I don't consider cage fighting to be the same as street fighting. I know for a fact ninjutsu or Karate techniques are much better for life and death. MMA guys are tough as nails though for sure.

  • @dynastyflygon you cant say traditional is best, depends on what you are training, some instances the old way is good and some the new, have to take everything into account for something and then decide, and even then each scenario is different, so dont spout shit before thinking it through

  • @dynastyflygon Which cannot be performed well without sparring and using it on an uncooperative opponent. Traditional conditioning in conjunction with modern sparring and bagwork = success. Don't be bound by "Traditional vs Modern". "Abosrb what is useful and discard what is useless." - Bruce Lee.

  • 1:40 I thought they where gonna hit it between their leg or smash it unto their head, but neither happen. disappointing.

    2:22 Was that a fail?

  • @chouavue2 2:22

thats actually a type of training you dont see in sport oriented martial arts such as karate and taekwondo

try falling right now, your instincts will just prevent you from doing so or you will fall and injure a part of your body

that training enables you the ability to fall on purpose while not injuring yourself

its a very common exercise in kung fu

  • 1:11 in slow-mo = my goal for tomorow

  • i wanna go to that camp

  • Comment removed

  • @Yazuma14 same here

  • that music sucks and it cheapens the video like some karatie kid movie

  • It looks like a really interesting art. may i know its origins?

  • @mikeymarshful This is Shuai Jiao, which is basically traditional Chinese Wrestling. It is likely related to Indian and Mongolian wrestling, as well as Jiu Jiutsu/Judo.

  • @Wolfenman08 ok thank you :D

  • martial arts teach us to be punctual. fabulous work by the team. all the best

  • por favor alguem saberia o nome da primeira musica do video?

  • this is outstanding training ! I've trained Okinawa go ju ryu for 15 years and we use lots of the same training tools like tan and ishi sashi even chi ishi but used here in rolling to strengthen the wrist ! but the throws are really great ! quite simple but thats why they work ! would love to learn some of this !!

  • EXTREME TRAININGS COOOL!!! My Fav Master for me is BruceLee And My Fav Weapon Is Tonfa ;D

  • Shuai jiao looks like judo... I suppose this is where jujutsu comes from I presume?

  • @mikeymarshful Unlikely, as Jujutsu was developed by Samurai, and as warriors they never left their country

  • @Blackfirethreshold I see. Thanks anyway. :D

  • @mikeymarshful - Refer to reply given to blackfirethreshold

  • @Blackfirethreshold - Refer to Judoinfo website (and 'Mind over muscle' by Jigaro Kano) which theorise on origins of Jujutsu.. A Chinese master settled and taught in Japan.. Alternatively, Japanese traveling to China to learn martial arts, particularly Fujian was common place. The third alternative is development by the Samurai. However, there is huge resemblance to some of the Judo throws here e.g. Seio Nage, Ouchi Gari and the Uchi Mata movement. Regards.

  • @henh32 Thanks man.

  • @Blackfirethreshold I see...

  • I would have crippled myself within minutes of being handed th hand weights o.O

  • @kaz73901 lol

  • wow the training is damn hardcore . I think i would not be able to take it haha

  • wow awesome martial art ,i would love to learn it to combine it with my silat

  • Any Shuai Jiao Coach would like to come down to Singapore , to showcase your skills ? And open a Shuai Jiao Martial Arts Club for everyone , not just Chinese ?

  • matching shoes too!

  • ok... if im going to do this at home... where can i get some pants like that??

  • @theawakener7 - U think ALL ppl should go out & build houses for free? Where will they get the materials from? Where will they get the money to feed their own tummys. Do U spend ur life building houses for the Beijing ppl? Why r U wasting time commenting on others, when u could be building something, or giving away ur wealth? Seems UR belly gets more than enough food. R u really so Useful to humanity? Or r u a Huge carbon footprint, like everyone else? Judge not lease u b judged urself.

  • @theawakener7 - 1 of the Hardest fighters Ive known, had extensive JKD training, but also, 7 other styles including traditional Kungfu systems. He could destroy u Traditionally, just as hard easily as JKD. I learned more from him in 1 day, than u will ever know in ur lifetime, merely cause of ur bad attitude. Which easily shows by ur desigion to try to judge me without any depth + ur choice of attitude & language. +ur self consciousness bout ur weight. U have much more growing up to do than me.

  • man i wish i was like them but ugh i mean i live in usa the martial art trainers suck there

  • @TheLinkys there are some good shuai chiao coaches in the US.

  • do this in a real fight vs me ...

  • @BadDreamerKid I would...If you look down on shuai chiao, you really have no clue about wrestling arts in general.

  • I really wish i could be there. This is the life style i want.

  • @xiaou2

    Speak for yourself champ!!!

  • These guys are Awesome. They are rock-solid "Rooted" to the ground on every movement, unlike most sport fighters & poorly trained / disciplined fighters. They know how to use their entire bodies as One unit, maximizing power & efficiency. They train hard w/ weights & realistic means. They are fluid as water, fast, flexible, & precise. Excellent KungFu !!! *Applauds*
