Where you state that the Bxf3 line might have been ok for white i have to disagree. After Bxf3 Bxb1 Rxb1 Qc2 Be4 Rxe4 Nxe4 black has the resource of Be5+ and then winning the rook on b1. Here there is no Nxd6 cause the bishop on e5 is now defending it and also blocking the queen of coming into the position of black. Also there is no f4 due to the brilliant Bxf4+, winning the position completely. So black is better in that position. This was just the Tal show, beating his opponent like this.
No to dis KC's narration, but Tal himself offers a splendid analysis (much deeper than is practical in a 10 minute video) and experiential, entertaining, narrative in his autobiography and/or the book he wrote about the match. Either of his efforts are 5 star material. Available on amazon and elsewhere and well worth the ten or fifteen bucks!
Tal was a real fighter.He lived as fiery as he played chess-drank,smoked,loved women.He was an all-Russian celebrity.He died in Moscow in some clinic from desease.
Well attacking doesnt always induce mistakes. Since its so obvious that you are in danger, it only takes calculation and a process of elimination to find your only move. There always is a defense, if yhou can find it. So if your opponent is an excellent and accurate calculator, attacking simply forces him to play perfectly. I personally prefer doing the opposite...make the position look harmless while setting traps against natural plans.
@7:17 can't white just Bxe2, winning a whole piece?
