As a youngster, i spent hours in front of an old record player that played 45 and 78 rpm records, just trying to learn how Chet played (didn't have TV yet). It took years filled with hours and hours of practice, but finally a good bit of success came my way. I don't think the average guy can ever play like Chet or Tommy Emmanuel - They are the Gods of CGPs and I'm glad to have had the experience.
MrBzrLives and will try to carry on the tradition.
Fantastic! Check out my Dad's site .Winston271001 He wrote the song "Teensville" off Chet's self -titled album "Teensville" Along with The Slop, also written by my Dad "Wayne Cogswell
@regoralo - I love the 'bounce' Chet puts in his arrangements - his style makes me love country music! I'm making a playlist for him tonite.
I've got 425 playlists for 300 great artists like Chet, & a list for each of the past 120 years so you can listen to the sounds of any year like you're back in the day.
I have an album my folks bought probably 45 years ago with this tune on it. Been around a long time, but every bit as sweet now as then. My oh my, we just never knew how we would miss him till he was gone. Bruce Werner
This is not an easy song to pick. Yet Chet makes it seem effortless.

A real perky and quick little tune by Chet----I've been hearing it over 50 years, still sounds exciting and beautiful.

I've never heard this version of the tune. The one I know has a mandolin solo as well. Was this one recorded later?

Chet truly was a "Country Gentleman" and a master of the guitar...in a league of his own.
