Wow, I LOVE ti! I What a splendid performance! What a Perfect balance between harmony and the melody. What a perfect dynamic, and yet it's so peaceful. You truly inspired me to learn and master this piece, to the point that I'll play it in front of my congregation in a month time. You are my GURU for this piece.
I'm not a huge Sor fan but this is just too good to not listen too, luckily I have the sheet music! Gonna learn it pronto lol. But seriuosly, its so peaceful.
You have inspired me to start learning this piece. It is however, pretty challenging on some parts. Very beautifully played, I think it is best at this tempo. Thank you for sharing and enlightening!
from Jose Sepulveda, the Hermeterec.....I have heard many players, great and not so much so, play this opus of Sors". I have heard the great John Williams play it, but I believe I like your version of it as well as any I've heard. Thank you, Samantha, for not "shreadding" it like Yngwie Malmsteen or somebody, for playing it sublimely with proper attention to the composer's vision when he wrote it down. The accompanying video was marvellous, too. Your admirer, Jose'.
Most players will play this etude faster, but you convince me that your slow tempo is best for this serene music. I used to play this etude too, but never knew this was such a beautiful piece. Thank you for enlightening me!
Most lovely rendition. I must tell you I have heard this piece played by some of the most outstanding masters of guitar but never had such satisfying experience like listening to yours. Thank you for being such a sensitive musician.
Wonderful...have not heard this piece by Sor before. Very peaceful. You play very well, wonderful command of dynamics and tone. You have a new subscriber...will be looking forward to your next upload :-)
Sorry about the late reply :-) This is almond blossom and and, yes, it is similar to cherry blossom but the actually trees are very different. Best wishes from sam :-D
Hi Kevin! I agree, we do seem to like the same pieces! Thank you for posting your video response - what a great compliment and everyone should certainly listen to your version! How did you know that it is almond blossom time in Spain right now! Best wishes to you and your family from sam :-D
I'm studying this piece and I think you did a lovely job on it, congrats!! 5***** beautyfull pictures too!! greetings and respect from Bram D., Holland
Very beautifully palyed. You really play this study as if we sing the song. To paly rather slowly might be more suitable to play this piece. I used to play this piece every day a long time ago. I will restart to practice this piece some day. Thank you for posting your nice performance.
Thanks for your kind comment! I think the important thing with this piece is not to play it too fast and to let the melody sing. I use a lot of rest stroke on the top notes and, as broknsaint suggests above, play with the right hand close to the 12th fret - tasto - as much as possible. I hope this might be helpful. :-) Best, sam
you play this very well! I like your tempo a lot, I think it´s often played to fast! It´s one of my favorite Sor (I have a lot of them), this one sounds easy to play but it is difficult! Five stars!
Some friends popped into my study whilst I was enjoying this ... you should have heard the oohs! and aahs! of delight ...had to run it a second time! Gorgeous, your best so far!
Beautifully played Samantha!
I'm looking forward to checking out your website, I hope you've got some HQ recordings available.
Best wishes from a new fan

A bit too much on the repetitive side for me, but it's true, it is beautiful just like its rendition.

si lo tocas con poca uña en el medio de la cuerda ( el 12 trasto ) puedes sacar un sonido mas dulce : )
