I have heard the great John Williams play it, but I believe I like your version of it as well as any I've heard. Thank you, Samantha, for not "shreadding" it like Yngwie Malmsteen or somebody, for playing it sublimely with proper attention to the composer's vision when he wrote it down. Very beautifully palyed. You really play this study as if we sing the song. To paly rather slowly might be more suitable to play this piece. I used to play this piece every day a long time ago. I will restart to practice this piece some day. Thank you for posting your nice performance.

Thanks for your kind comment! I think the important thing with this piece is not to play it too fast and to let the melody sing. I use a lot of rest stroke on the top notes and, as broknsaint suggests above, play with the right hand close to the 12th fret - tasto - as much as possible.
