this is NOT true every video iv'e seen with the (GRIP OF DEATH) has a battery life very low look at this video his battery life is so low you cant see it so it was minutes away from battery loss.So the iphone is smart and starts saving power and not wasting it so the GRIP OF DEATH is NOT true just your iphone saving power.
Since I got my iPhone 4 from Rogers I've been using the bumper case with no signal loss at all. Without it if I grip it a certain way I might lose one or two bars. I never completely lose the signal. I think the whole issue is overblown. This "old man" is enjoying his iPhone. You'll enjoy yours.
its doing that cause its from florida and florida is in the states so no wonder the bars are going down cause there shouldnt be any problems in canada if you it here
@coolkid0310 he is on the newest the update. notice the bars are bigger at the end. all it did was display the bars correctly. i used to have "full" bars before but now i only get 3-4 in my house. so it just made it look less drastic than before
interesting because i tried as hard as i could and i could not go lower than 2 or 3 bars. i'm with fido which is owned by rogers. but i think the signal might be weak where you are, because i haven't had any problems yet, its my first day using it i think i will make a video later
As the phone was roaming out of country it automatically picked up the Rogers network. the same way my Rogers iPhone picks up the AT &T network when I'm in the USA.
I recorded the video with my 3GS iPhone. Reception on both phones are about the same. It fluctuates between 3 and 4 bars normally. Almost no dropped calls.
Thank you very much for posting this! I was always curious as to how the iPhone 4 would perform on Rogers network. How is the reception on your iPhone (the one you're using to record) in comparison to the iPhone 4? Is it 3 bars as well if not held in the infamous death grip?

Yes. She had turned the data roaming on without realizing there would be more charges. Luckily she was on wifi most of the time.

@coolkid0310 they fixed how bars were shown ... the problem is in the antenna PHYSICALLY.. not with a software patch...
before i returned it (i was on 4.0.1) i still had reception issues with this gay ass phone
