You can clearly see the Radiohead influence in Muse, but I think that's something to be celebrated, not something to be disparaging about. Muse are a very, very good band, musically and on stage, and Radiohead are really good aswell.

Also, they were just starting up back then and not known to many fans like now, so they probably couldn't afford to buy nice clothes.
