Anyone know what Thom's playing towards the end? Ed's got the wall of sound/ echo stuff down pat, and Jonny's got the solo, but I can't figure out Thom's bit for the life of me....
I love this song, everything about it is great. I love how Thom, Johnny, and Ed each have their own guitar part for the outro. This song needs to be played more in my opinion, even though everything they've done is amazing.
I'm not a big fan of really "rocky" stuff and much prefer Radioheads later work. But my fucking god, the last couple of minutes of this are absolutely incredible. Goosebumps the whole time.
You can clearly see the Radiohead influence in Muse, but I think that's something to be celebrated, not something to be disparaging about. Muse are a very, very good band, musically and on stage, and Radiohead are really good aswell.
yeah dude, and we can listen to 2 + 2 = 5 and take a bow and think about how fucked up the world is when people are blind to eye opening music with a truthful message. but i don't know if we should, APPARENTLY they just aren't in the same class.
you got to be kidding me..Matt Bellamy is a musical genius! I think radiohead are ace too..but you can't be slating Muse..they are as equally brilliant!
muse doesn't suck they are just different. muse is just as epic as epic as radiohead. AND you have to keep in mind their is only 3 members in muse. with a lead guitarist that sings pretty damn well. that shit ain't easy. but still this song is epic as fuck.
@iputmyhanduponmyhip Muse are NOT as "epic" as Radiohead. Why can't you guys get that in your thick head? Muse are comparable to bands like, say, Coldplay. Radiohead are pioneers and Muse cites them as an influence. Not saying they suck, but they aren't in the same class.
@lukeskymac Agree. I'm a Muse fan myself. But absolutely despise Coldplay. So yes, they might be a better than Coldplay, but definitely not in the same league as Radiohead.
God damn...Pablo Honey is my favorite Radiohead album....I was 4 or 5 when it came out. But is one of those things that get stuck in your head forever
@jibblychupos That comment is completely redundant seeing as Muse released their first album 5 years after this video was made...everyones entitled to a personal opinion, but be informed when you do it!! :-)
@jibblychupos Wow, do you realise how badly you've undermined your own opinion with that comment? If this video shows Radiohead 'doing Muse' before Muse even existed in the public domain then it's pretty clear who's influenced by who isn't it?
@Tiersias42..... Ed was wearing a white shirt. During that era, long hair / died hair was very popular, a load of people were following grunge also, so it was cool to wear stuff like that. Also, they were just starting up back then and not known to many fans like now, so they probably couldn't afford to buy nice clothes. More to the point, they probably couldn't give a flying fuck what the were wearing, they were more interested in producing great music, like the demonstration in this video.
Hopefully you enjoyed watching this as much as i did, and if so, do yourself a favor and check out dEUS - Instant Street, the one from the Concert Against Racism. Kinda similar and very epic as well.
Fantastic sound, giving glimpse of RADIOHEAD then and hinting at what to come.
This was the song that did it for me, please Mr COWELL can I have another one of these you F@@KIN S@@KER of SAT@NS C@CK!!. I better get used to eatin my own vomit, coz thats the nearest we wil see this again due to your SH@TE!!.
Only Radiohead could gather such a stunned crowd. I cannot BELIEVE that some people actually walked out on them after creep was played! I would have been lucky to go see them (I was two years old) as a child witnessing heaven itself before my eyes...
omfg .. like fuck,, i got shivers.. right up to the drum sectiona dn the noise section is so epic.. the fact that the begining of the song is so chill makes it so good too!
