I'm not trying to be a hater. But a limited slip isn't going to make a fwd car turn into a rwd car, or, for that matter, even comparable in launch, balance, or handling because your weight will be on the back tires during acceleration and you'll be accelerating with the same wheels you're turning. Even if you customize your whole suspension to make up for this, you'll suffer in other situations. There comes a point when the infrastructure can't effectively accomidate something is wasnt made for.

I have a stock 03 1.8T and it has problems planting its front tires on launch with just 200 hp. What's the point of putting 416 whp onto a front wheel drive car.

Coupled with a nice differential it will grab nicely. besides not every race is from a launch.

You're right. But the investment that you have to put into a 180 HP car to push it that high is considerable at the very least. And I don't really think it's that worth with the sacrifice to handling and acceleration that you have to make with fwd as opposed to rwd.

when you love VW's and especially the under estimation of people when they see you driving a jetta it is worth it. Besides I'm one of alot of people who have over 400 hp with this motor. Besides, I have connections you would be surprised how little money of my own I have actually spent.
