looks no diffirent to me from when i use my older AMD ATI Radeon 4650 HD... Just admit it the effects on JC2 are so badass that even Bf3 Sucks when it comes to water and snowy blizzards... it bugs me, but those swedes are DAMN good at what they are doing!
@MrExillion well said, i achually havent got the game, so wat does a blizzard look like on this game, only played the demo, so i carnt go to the snowy bit.
man ... please answer ... what are your pc specs? i mean my pc cant handle just cause 2 graphs ;/ so id like to ask you what your pc is for inside so i can buy similar things...
@ATLMember at 4.2GHz it aint... besides, Tri-SLI support isn't as good in most games as regular or quad-sli support. Tri-SLI is not something I'll do again anytime soon.
@ATLMember I haven't decided yet what I'll do. It's already hard enough to find buyers for liquid-cooled set of the 480s or the entire system. I'll see what's next once I get rid of this one.
Great video!! Love this game. Yeah it's PC ver. with xbox 360 controller. I have same setup on my pc. Can't really tell in most video's, but enabling cuda really makes a difference in how the water looks. Just hard to tell in most video's because of video quality.
nope this is some lame water dx11 enables interaction with the water at a high level this just makes waves a emulation not impreassed i can do this in 3d max 2012 with 15 clicks
@nGAGE0nline its ok i have a nvidia car anyway , i was just been curious thats all, and your right raedon cards are definetly capable of doing this i sduppose it has something to do with copyright.
@nGAGE0nline CUDA is the language used to program the cards and also it requires a certain architecture of the "stream processors." ATI cards have more "stream processors" generally, but are not very general purpose like the ones in nvidia cards. The CUDA cores are capable of complex logic operations, loops, etc. If you want a similar type of thing on ATI cards, you have to use their Stream SDK, which I never really liked. I just upgraded from a HD 5770 to a Geforce GTX 560 2 GB and love it.
I guess it just makes the water look better? or does it react differently when in a boat because it looks more wavy so does the boat rock around more?
I hate Fanboys.

Water would be amazing if it reacted to your character, this water doesn't seem to.

@bigbrowncheifbottom its not so much that they "cant" its just that they "don't"
CokenOpi 1 month ago
@bigbrowncheifbottom not necessarily. Some things ATI does that a nVIDEA can't. It's just the way they are built.

@nmuglertf2 you don't need that much though. my pc is overkill and I'll soon be selling it.

@nGAGE0nline Jesus, 3 GTX 480s, you can probably heat your house those. Also, why no upgrade the processor?
ATLMember 2 months ago
@ATLMember Everything is Liquid-cooled. And there's no need to upgrade the processor. It's powerful enough. I'll wait until I build a new system.
nGAGE0nline 2 months ago
@nGAGE0nline The processor is bottleneck for those GPUs though

@nGAGE0nline Well yeah, a single GTX 480 can max pretty much any game with full AA and AF. I would just buy a GTX 590 if you really want dual GPU
ATLMember 2 months ago
@ATLMember Well, I do have 3 screens and can play surround too, So that's where multiple cards really come in handy.

@nGAGE0nline Why not buy ATi then? One 6990 using ifinity would do the trick

@08jminke Officially, no. CUDA is a nVIDIA thing, though I don't see why ATIs couldn't do it.

@08jminke and software. CUDA is not only the hardware cores used on the gpu, but it's also the programing language used if I'm not misstaken.

Niklasdiver123 1 year ago
@Niklasdiver123 water is enhanced with physx for a little more realism. it's not entirely physx based though.
nGAGE0nline 1 year ago
@nGAGE0nline this isn't physx, it is a effect for nvidia cards, but this is not physx, physx dynamic water works completly different.
Niklasdiver123 1 year ago 15
@Niklasdiver123 This isn't physX dynamic water. I never claimed it is. This water effect is however enhanced by physX.
