  • much appreciated , a great progression, now I just need the voice !

  • many thanks for your prompt reply. I have got a grip on the 1-6-2-5 progression and have played this like you in C or Cmaj7 but it was the unusual bridge that intrigued me especially the chords you improvised as they sound the best !

  • @moelwyntel Here's the last 5 chords, and except for the first, which is C, I'll give you the notes that make up the others by string and fret because I don't know the names. 2nd chord is 4-2, 3-2, 2-3, 1-3. 3rd chord is simply bar the fifth fret, 4th chord is 4-3, 3-4, 2-4, 1-3, and the 5th and final chord is the same as the 2nd. I'd give you the bridge chords, but I've forgotten and I can't seem to find my sheet music. I'll look around for it and maybe get back to you on that.

  • lovely guitar , great singing

I would love to know some of the chords you're playing .

is it possible to put them down?

    many thanks

  • @moelwyntel Thank you for watching our video, and for the appreciative comment. The song is built around this chord progression: C, Am, Dm, G7. You play that once, and then the second time it's C, Am, D9, G7. To transition to the bridge, you go from C to B7 to Em. I can't describe every chord change and voicing. You can buy the sheet music online in any key you want. I play it in C. The last chords I just made up, and I don't even know what they're called. Hope this helps to get you started.

  • @moelwyntel One more thing: I don't know what your guitar skill level is, so you may already know this: The progression C, Am, Dm, G7 is all you need to play countless songs, including the majority of doo-wop. Just keep playing it over and over again and you'll be amazed at how many songs it will work for. I also use G, Em, Am, D7, which is the same thing only in the key of G.

  • Fantastic! You just brightened my day.

  • Hi. I really enjoyed that. Well done both of you. Thumbs up and regards.

  • Wow, I like that. Keep on.
