  • More like Resident oBOWma... boom roasted!!!

  • The 13th Amendment (the original that was burned during the British raid) Says the President of the US is subservient to the British Royals. It's in our constitution.

We never won the Revolutionary War, which a lot of sheeple think we did. We're not independent. We are a corporation and still pay our taxes to the British.

We need to get rid of these Royal Leaches and take back our Republic!

  • Royal Wedding meets Fukushima... How do this two fit into one song?

    "No Tenno To Party"

  • So how is Obama showing signs of respect and dignity to other cultures considered a "major" faux pas??? I mean seriously, the guys is showing respect and you're trying to bash him for it!

  • You have to love how everyone has to claim they know WTF other people are thinking by those ppls actions..No you imbeciles don't know, your opinions don't mean shit!! their is a chain IT'S CALLED THE FOOD CHAIN!! and when you act submissive to another on that chain you become the food!!! SO WHEN YOU ARE ON TOP OF THE CHAIN!! ACT LIKE IT!! friggin imbeciles!!

  • What can you expect? Obama is a dumbass. He doesn't know the rules of bowing. He just does whatever he wants, despite the social acceptance of the culture he is engaging.

  • What can you expect? Obama is a dumbass. He doesn't know the rules of bowing. He just does whatever he wants, despite the social acceptance of the culture he is engaging.

  • some People are so stupid its just been respectful to their cultures is not like america is bowing down to japan. Oh yes and this Tsunami thing now am surprise the republicans havent blamed obama for the tsunami yet.

  • what if he didn't bow? It's like damned if he does and damned if he doesn't

  • well americans is one of the dums nations in the world or maybe even the dumest...if u dont believe me u americans need to watch ur own news.

  • lol what does god have ANYTHING to do with this... that was just dumb xD good video though

  • fuck fox news the most racist news today..fuck bill orielly hes a fuckin racist bill can suck the tip of my bi racial dick

  • So an ambassador... well shall I set an example? An American ambassador to the UK - shouldn't he bow to the Queen of the UK, as a sign of respect? Oh, ok - he should only shake her hand and that's fine. He's the President of the most powerful country on Earth - congratulations, but please, do learn how to respect other countries in this world (by respecting their head-of-state). The Americans should learn to leave their arrogance behind, and start to care about their allies and friendly nations.

  • who cares except prejudice whitemen.

  • Obama is just doing what American presidents do best. Whats wrong with that? And look at how gracefully he bows, something only an American is capable of doing!

Ah what a great country! LOL

  • @coccioloneus Typical American. You think everyone in the world is stupid. The Japs might have slanted eyes but they aren't blind. This "game" you think your brilliant leader is playing giving teh world a "pro-US feeling" is obvious, they are just playing along and fooling you idiots to believe you are winning the game, a game you know you are losing but, are just to damn proud to admit it.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA at 1:17. Glad somebody said it

  • 1:40 i agree. all japanese people are thinking so that.

Actually, a lot of Japanese people respected the president more than 1 year ago.

and we thought we can share concept of values with american people.

    sorry by my bad english...

    always thank you, PropagandaBuster

    from japan

  • thats why he became the president of America as an black man.

  • lol i feel the same way PropagandaBuster

  • I think the more important thing was he was TRYING, and yeah it wasn't exactly correct per Japanese culture, but he tried. Truthfully I see our president bowing as a good thing as it plays down our arrogance as a country. Which should help to ease tensions with us across the world. So really I think he's doing it to just try to show to them that he's not there to bully everyone around. Although, if he did mean it to be a 90 degree angle, probably was to apologize for the nukes we dropped xD.

  • why are you stupid americans so upset of your fucking leader bowing to another?

its the fucking same as shaking hands in the west!

you dont get upset when he shakes hands with anyone rite? like "OMG he shaked hands with HIM?! its outragious!"

    >.>

ofcourse alot of american ppl got upset about him bowing, bc except like 2 ppl, everyone in the usa is dumb as shit >.>

thats why u also get mad bc of the word 'socialism' bc u think it has ANYTHING to do with communism. which it doesnt. look it up ppl!

  • @SatoTM3 You are an absolute idiot.

  • bush kissed and held hands with a saudi arabian and no one cared and to me thats weird but in saudi arabia its normal

  • no video about obama overthrowing the japanese prime minister?

  • @coccioloneus Brilliant???

Look at how much money that we owe to China today. Gee, how smart~

    whatever

  • I wish we could have a similar wonderful tradition in the US.

If we do, maybe other politicians will bow at American leaders, too LOL

Japanese don't bow as often as Americans think.....

  • @coccioloneus - Sorry not buying it. President Nixon was a brilliant president with one major mistake. While the same I can not say about our current president. President Obama thus far has been one mistake after another for our nation.

  • @coccioloneus - You left that comment to validate President Obama bowing. In other words because President Nixon did it, then it is okay for President Obama to do it. In other words you just validated the Nixon administration. Thanks!

  • thanks PropagandaBuster for calling it the way it is, if he didnt bow we would have never heard the end of it, he's trying.

  • Look, This should be the last Concern for Americans right now.

  • Comment removed

  • thats right respect.

  • thats is not a bow, that is bendin over ur ass to beg or appoligize, whats wrong with this kenyan nigger,,,

  • STUPID AMERICANS! IS THEIR CULTURE TO BOW YOU FREAKING IGNORANT FOOOOOOLS! Bowing is something nice. It means you are humble and you respect that person. Just because America is the big power that does not means we have to be a bunch of ass-holes disrespecting other countries! He is a EMPEROR! He deserves a level of respect! It don't mean we are submitting to that person or something like that. Bowing is their hand shake and is actually a lot better because you don't spread diseases.

  • obama is a douche lol he should do better cultural research

  • How come Texan though Tony's familiar with stuff in japan ?

  • @relakuma777: I read, I study, and get information from friends in Japan.

  • @PropagandaBuster Well, considering the fact that you are such a well educated individual, how come that you are so short-minded? Or maybe you are just pretending that you are, in an efford to get some attention which you lack?

    Friendly greetings. :)

  • Why some one critizes this thing? I think this man is a midget. XD

  • don't fall out ur chair when u laugh

  • Are you related to Lili ?

  • Well it might made some news like this

but honestly im happy about he respect the Japanese costum and traditional stuff...

But he might be tooooooo polite..

  • It actuallt did save lives.

The war would've dragged on for years. Without those bombs, the Asian countries, Japan, and the Allied forces would've had alot more casualities.

    Thank god its over....

  • Those nukes wern't a war crime at ALL!!!!!!

If u knew what the Japanese did during that time, you'd say they deserved it too.

I have absolutely nothing against the Japaneses, I actually love them but their country's crimes were really horrific and inhuman.

but that was seventy years ago. Can't do nothing about it but strive for a better future.

  • The President was showing subservience in bowing that low to the Emperor of Japan and the King of Saudi Arabia. I would think our President would have people to tell him proper protocol so he doesn't make a huge ass out of himself to the American people.

  • I LOVE THIS MOTHER FUCKER (not being disrespectful)!!!!!!

Propaganda Buster ALWAYS seems to very open minded about everything and is a very intelligent man.

I love ur videos and please keep it up. YOUR THE BEST!!!!!

  • I meant to mark your comment as a good comment and hit the wrong button, damn it! Sorry about that. :(

  • Obama's gesture was exactly what he intended to tell the American public, there is no better way other than to bow 'look America my ass is pointing directly in the direction of the White House in Washington'. You KKK assholes have been lynching my forebears and sent them to the back of the buses, this is payback time.

  • You are stupid .........why did I even watch this

  • Go get an education, you are ignorant. I am deeply sorry for you.

  • @vintruong

    How is he ignorant?

If ur going to throw ur bullshit about the emperor of Japan being the son of Emperor Showa, of WWII, thats just wrong.

Just because the Emperor of Modern day Japan was the son of WWII Japan, doesn't mean its diesrespectful.

I know about WWII. What they did was very disturbing and sickening but this is a new era.

stop living in the past...... get out more.

  • A bow overhere is like a handshake back in the states.

  • terrible video skills

    typical youtube crap

    no talent

    terrible video

    zzzzzzzzzz

  • @OnlyTruthCounts - Maybe. More likely it is just a continuance of 'amateur hour' at the White House.

  • @OnlyTruthCounts thank you for your comment. I cant believe our yanks are so stupid!

  • you dont understand anything about Japan do you? The thing is in Japan if you bow lower you are more respectful

  • Obama is just trying to be respectful

it was an honest mistake the way he did it though.

    There's nothing wrong with respect.

Stop being so ignorant you people, people who just randomly blurts out the first thing that comes to mind.

  • Bows are also so god dang contagious! I spent a year there and would catch myself bowing to everyone who even slightly lowered their head, even if they weren't bowing. It catches onto you. I still find myself doing it not that I'm back in the States! Haha

  • common sense of hierarchy:

emperor (empress) > king (queen) > president

  • The Imperial Family has history of 2669 years.

Japan is the last Empire in the world.

Intellectual people should respect the tradition.

  • Obama bows to another country and fucks us over saying that the other country is better than the USA.. I WANT GEORGE BUSH BACK... I MISS HIM SO MUCH.. ITS SO PATHETIC TO SEE NIGGER OBAMA IN THE WHITE HOUSE.. NO NIGGERS ALLOWED.. NO MUSLIM DICK SUCKERS ALLOWED FUCK THEM RAG HEADED NIGGERS ^_^ give me negative points nigggers

  • so ignorant

  • Damn right i'm ignorant and im buying the joker face t shirt and im gonna wear it proud and show it to the world obama is a terrorist why dont you go worship his cock then since you seem to enjoy his speeches then hmm?? Obama is a cunt bag.. fuck the terrorists he is one.. stupid black shit obama

  • Hahahah you're so uneducated

If you hate him so much stop being a coward hiding behind a computer and go out and protest like those other ignorant people

  • Because I like being ignorant and *uneducated* lol i like to insult on the internet and cause internet drama.. ohohhhh i should make a new youtube name called INTERNETINSULTER LOL

  • Lol good one, typical troll. And when you're talking about internet drama stop being sucha girl about it.

  • Obama isn't bowing. Obama is tall.

  • u old gay..internet is not for an oldy like you...

    just retire from ur life...

  • Dude, it's tradition that in japan, if the emperor bows, you bow lower. No matter who you are. It's old tradition and shows respect to another's culture. Go look up the term deplomacy. Is it in the republican dictionary?

  • bowing in the asian culture and pretty much everywhere else means you are inferior and you show respect to a higher power.

  • in japan, prolly elsewhere too, its also just a greeting, sign of apology, and many other things depending simply on context...

  • @taylort123 um no. its a sign of respect. seriously. business men bow to each other because they are showing that they are looking forward to their partnership. This isnt any different. a bow is like a handshake in japan. stop criticizing. Its ridiculous.

  • a small bow, like he gave to that lady is one of respect.

a deep bow is apologetic. the deeper the bow, the more apologetic you are. its a sign of submission. its like his bow to the saudi king.

im gonna criticize all i damned well feel like it because its common knowledge what it means and i dont need a blatant moron to incorrectly inform me.

  • uhm... no it's respect to one another

    just like hand shaking...

  • No its not you moron. I'm friends with a Japanese exchange student 2 doors down. I've asked about it.

Nodding your head is respect. Bowing deeply is apologetic. Ever watch Martial arts based movies? Notice how they only bow the neck or barely the back when they are about to fight? Ever see when they are in fear of their life or fear that they have disgraced their master, they bow low?

    Common knowledge broooooo

  • He's just showing respect, so why don't you get a life dumbass?!!

  • I have a good feeling that Obama never bows to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Obama is a disgrace.

  • @ConservativeRuleinUS And I have a feeling that you don't have a life.

  • Obama is such a loser! I can't wait to see him when his party turns on him for their great losses in the 2010 election....LOL

  • This Obama makes me ill. Where was the media coverage of his social faux pas?? He is supposed to be so cosmopolitan...LOL. He is a goof-ball. He also bowed to the King of Saudia Arabia, but I don't think he bowed to the Queen of England(?). His wife touched the Queen...they are so unsophisticated!

  • In Japan, This is not a big deal at all. I did not even see the news about bows at all.

Recent survey said that 80% of Jap felt friendly to US. I hope Jap will be good relationship w/ US not w/ China. The new politic party in Jap tried to get close to China not US. I don't think it is good at all. Chinese gov is the worst country in the earth right now.

  • I am terriblysory but if you allow me to comment to your comment , We, Japanese subjects, would be so grateful if you generously and kindly enough not to use " Jap" any longer. If you continuously do so, I am afraid that you are the one who should bow more deeply to Japanese subjects than your President did to our Holy Emperor.

  • Thank you for the comment. I know you are Japanese and think about the word. I just use it, because it is shorter. I am sorry that hurts your feeling. I want to know the abbreviation of Japanese then. Thank you.

  • Chinese is interesting. However, Chinese government is unpleasant. Sinocentrism is too dangerous. Tibet, India, and Taiwan are threatened with Sinocentrism. India has the nucleus because of China. Communism is also unpleasant.

The United States is a very good friend though there is a problem of Iraq.

  • @0000000022 You know why in the early days of 20thcentury russia adopted communist because they dont want to think hard,it was too easy for them like a king on the trone wiping their asses.I think you are right communism is unpleasant.

  • Whatever.

It is obvious that he showed the world his flexibility to be respectful against other cultures.

  • japan wont care they no what he was doing they respect him

  • Did anyone hear that story of the Japanese mistaking Jesus for Santa? They crucified Santa, remember? I think it's okay that we mistake some things from other countries.

  • In the culture of Japan, the bowing person is respected.

If you bowing to the emperor ,it's OK even by 90 degrees.

Though shaking hands as 90 degrees bowing is strange.

I saw this bow, and came to respect him .

    Though I respect Tony-san more.

  • It's no biggie. Even if he didn't bow totally correctly, he expressed respect very well. I don't think anyone in Japan would care if he didn't do it totally correctly.

Also, I'm sure people in Japan won't think that he was admitting his inferiority or anything silly like that.

    Puuuuuh-LEASE!

  • You laugh at our president-disgusting! If other counties representatives came here and disn't shake hands, you would be offended saying its disrespectful. What if they did shake and took it further by shaking hands longer than usual? Would you say they were aologizing and ridicule just b/c they werent completely knowledgable on every custom we had?

  • I think ppl critisize wayyyyyyyy too much. If ppl spent less time critisizing others and looked harder at what their own shortcomings were, it would be a much better world and most likely wouldn't have so many wars b/c ppl wouldn't be prejusticed. That is the main thing wrong with everything.

  • Search Eisenhower Bowing. I think you will be suprised at the results.

  • The reason why President Obama made a deep bow was that he was much taller than the Emperor. By watching the video (not the photo), we Japanese can easily tell that President Obama's motion was totally natural and that he did not make a deep bow.

When you shake hands with a kindergarten kid, how deep you need to "make a bow?" If someone took the picture of you, do Americans make a big fuss over you, saying you are apologizing to the kid?

  • Now you are saying that he insulted the Emperor by treating him like a child?

  • no he dident

  • yes he made a mistake in the WAY he bow.. the emperor in Japan is symbol of unity and the head of imperial family.. did he bow to the prime minster of japan? the ACTUAL leader of Japan. tell me if he bows to other presidents. maybe he was just showing respect to the royal families/ monarch country.

  • He's bow wasn't a diplomatic matter that's an apologizing bow

  • his secret service man behind him should have put a shoe up that pos ass.

  • all u retards need to understand that the emperor did not bow back.

  • Thank you i got your email. you took this piss out of my spellings. i have diclexea ( i do nt no how to spell that word. it a lurning diffucty). i get bulled for this and i just thort i would let you no you rely hurt me and well im 14 yers old and i dnt no how old you are i would have just prosumed you would have more a duno respect erm a duno a just ....

  • its called respect and from england and am soryy buh ur beeing soo sad get a fukkin life hes a gate man !

  • Do you know english???? hehehe... Is Obama really a GATE man?

  • good man, at least someone else realizes!

  • who gives a rats ass

  • Even though I'm not an Obama fan I hate people who are making a big deal about this. There's nothing wrong with bowing to show some respect. That's a problem with us Americans, we have a hard time respecting other nations... fuck, we have a hard time respecting each other... =/

  • THANK YOU america is a cry baby

  • Nobody here in Japan took his bowing as the sign of subservience or apology. We simply appreciated President Obama's courtesy or our Emperor.

  • Whats so wrong about Obama bowing to the emperor eh?

  • USA president has greatest power in the world. But to Americans regret, USA president has no authority in the world. Because they are just politician. This is way Obama is not wrong. It is natural thing.

  • Comment removed

  • I hate to say it but only whites are feel the President done something wrong. It's all of a sudden wrong to be polite. Just because white people are rude as hell don't mean everyone in this country is.

  • The one who has Peace prize has peaceful manner!

  • Comment removed

  • Obama showed his awkwardness.

  • Being a Japanaphine myself, I'd have to agree that bowing would be appropriate but why on earth did some one not brief him on this? And I'd like to know why Akihito-sama didn't bow back. Curious.

  • I think our Tennnoh didn't expect Mr.Obama to bow, because most foreign leaders who meet him do not. So I think he missed the moment to bow back. And you can't bow to someone at the same time shaking hands. Plus we never do shake hands and bow as deeply as Mr.Obama did at once. But I appreciate Mr.Obama's warm gesture considering our traditions.

And to some others: Tennoh means neither god nor ruler nor king. Tennoh's basic job is to pray for his people, so he's more of a sharman figure.

  • as a japanese man, i greatly appreciate your sensible, intelligible, and open-minded words. clearly, you know what you are talking about and i find it refreshing to see that someone is being good enough to inform everyone else about the facts.

  • i always respect about your insightful and knowledgeable talk!

  • Compared to this new guy, yes, i do miss you mr Bush. :(

  • I want to say as a Japanese man.

Certainly, bowing is one of general manners in Japan. However, we know this is one of the local customs.

If President Obama had only shaken hands with the Emperor, there would have been no problem.

Most of the national guests in Japan don't bow to the Emperor, because the action is n't usual in the international protocol.

We the Japanese people don't want him to bow to our emperor.

  • *claps*

  • @kibinski , I'm japanese too.

i'm not offending you at all,

but can't you just comment as 'one of Japanese people' please?

  • >I want to say as a Japanese man.

    Can't you read this?

  • oops, sorry for the first sentence.

    I mean the last one.

    >'We the Japanese'

  • Usually, in diplomatic scenes, nobody bows each in Japan too. There are 120,000,000 people in Japan. There are many different opinions. However, it's a fact that the standard opinions are there.

Most of the national guests who come to Japan don't bow to the emperor. This is a fact. And most of the Japanese people unconcern about the fact. This is also a fact.

  • If I had shown these standard opinions in Japan as my personal view to the foreigners, they couldn't have known what were standard opinions in Japan.

  • Even so, its more the thought that's important. To show consideration for what is deemed the norm in Japan I would of thought was a positive than a negative.

  • See what Obama caused please. The angry of the US people, insulting to the Japanese people, such negative emotions wouldn't have been caused, if Obama hadn't done the behavior out of diplomatic protocol.

These negative responses are what Obama caused.

  • Oh I see what it caused, I just don't think did anything out of line to cause him personal blame. Ok, I can see where people are coming from but the guy is human and therefore subject to such mistakes.

OK, he made a mistake, he says sorry, people get on with things - why does it need to go further?

  • Unfortunately you cannot give him a pass for this, he is not new to being a politician and his staff is not new either. It wasn't a mistake as far as they are concerned.

  • Actually I just looked at your nationality - it'd interesting to see what Japan makes of this.

    Do tell.

  • I don't think my nationality is important in when we argue about this. However I can tell you that it's unpleasant to me for our sovereign to be blamed about this. Emperor Akihito didn't reply bowing to the President, because bowing isn't included in the diplomatic manner. However, many people who didn't know the diplomatic manner well felt that His Majesty ignored President Obama. This misunderstanding was caused by the uncommon reaction of Obama.

  • Do you understand? This is a diplomatic matter. The President of the United States gave a bad name to the Japanese Emperor as a result.

  • Yes. I am getting angry at Obama as a Japanese man who respect His Majesty.

  • Well that's all I wanted, an opinion - and regardless of what you say nationality does play a part in it as much as cultural differences do. Althought I find it rather funny in retrospect, one of those innocent mistakes that makes a whole heap of misunderstandings.

  • テキサス親父に健康と幸あれ!

  • Obama sucks....Japan winner !

  • It wasn't a mistake, you cunt. The 90° angle is used for the emperor, or if one was to meet a god. He's not admitting subservience in any case, he's just being polite. The fact Americans forgot what that means proves the way they've become as a nation.

  • President George Washington bowed to the God of the Hebrews!

Obama seems only willing to bow to every tin-pot dictator. That is the difference.

    God help America!

  • Obama only respect for traditional culture. It is not large problem.

But I don't like Obama. Because he flatter autocratic state. Obama didn't protest against the China government when China Government prohibit American Press from a reporters' questions during the press conference. Why he did not protect freedom of speech?

  • To Shakeland,

O-bow-ma bowed to you Jap king was a foolish thing to do, but what's even more foolish, is Jap Hypocrates like you, who even today still deny all the massacres in China and other Asian nations during ww2.

  • Are you true Taiwanese? Taiwan is Independent state. There is no Taiwanese who hopes to be annexed to China. Also, Taiwan was Japan when WW2. I think you are Chinese. Okinawa is Japan. I have some friends from Okinawa. they love Japan. China educate to "Okinawa is China" , but it is nonsense. If you ask "Is Okinawa China?" in Okinawa. You are laughed by people.

You should look 2009 than 1945.

  • You're wrong. You've seen the video where 45 others shook hands and didn't bow.

You want to talk about customs? Talk about how it's customary for world leaders not to bow to the Japanese Emperor. This is a well established Convention as you can see.

Obama was bowing because he's got a bowing problem.

  • There are some comments that the bow is a common manners in East Asia, but add to except the case of China. the custom of China is very peculiar in even east Asia.

in Japan or other normal countries of east Asia, the bow is just a greeting. However Chinese one is quite difference. for example, in the 18th century George Macartney the Britain diplomat was demanded to do kowtow(a kind of bow to bend knee and grovel as slave) which means obeying by the Qing emperor.

    Please don't confuse it.

  • just keep crying man!!! lol...

  • Chinaforever777

It is highly improbable that President Obama was looking for what you might refer to as "respect" from people who sees things the way you do when he chose to greet the Emperor in that way.

  • 2:50 to 2:57 of this video says it all.

  • subserviate?

  • HOw did a such a witless shit learn to use a video

  • lmao I gotta agree with you..5 stars to your comment!

  • Get over it america and harden the fuck up!! Stop having a fucking cry over shit that doesn't mean anything! He bowed - so fuckin wat! What if he fuckin curtsies to the queen - u gonna have a whinge about that too?? Ur attitude to the world is gonna leave you behind. The rest of the world get it - why doesn't america? And if America doesnt get it - dont fuck it for the rest of us. We ain't goin down with you.

  • I mean just imagine kids walking to school bowing to sweepers kicking up dust. The Cops TV show one time aired 10 Japanese Cops with glass shields surrounding and capturing a mad man who shot at them with a shotgun. LOL you cannot shoot at the police and expect to live here in America LOL. But Is this thier culture tradition or custom? No I would say because i know for fact that its not. This is more like a invented system of social justice with a touch of moderan confutionism

  • Obama got a favorable reception without any compensation by single bowing.

    His diplomacy is wise.

  • Its Called RESPECT! Most Young Americans have No Respect which will bite them in the ass, that's right kids you are in for a

Rude AWAKENING sooner than you think.

Respect yourself and Others, You'll go farther in life.

  • ChoongSung means..Well i like you to guess what it means before you look that up. But knowing these little facts should help resolve some misundersandings here i think. You see in Japan and Korea they made sure having a badge is a responsibility than a privillege.

  • ChoonSung ! - in Korean Army.

PilSeung ! - in Korean Navy.

  • In Japan or Korea ..Well I am not really sure what to call it because its not exactly the custom in traditional sense... Ok the lowest positions in job market.. I mean Jobs that often times looked down upon in elsewhere are respected in general kids are taught to respect them and bow to them A policeman in uniform who gets in a bus will bow to
