I think this song should definately come top 3 with uk and ireland and certainly my favourite.Does anyone know if the live version was ever recorded onto cd as it is slightly different from the official recorded version.
I like the song very much, but personally had a different favorite in the Dutch national final. You may be surprised however that Linda was very active as a saxophone player, instead of going on with a sining carreer!
Its an typical Dutch song, and there are many more like it from the early 80's. Really, alot of people like this style, me among them, and sometimes a song made in this style breaks through internationally.
deze had echt de 1e plaats moeten halen.

Nice song by Linda Williams.
English version is called "I am the lady"
Can also be found on YouTube.
For me it's better than the Dutch version.

Het is een wonder that this song only got 9th place while the UK's crappy entry won.

Heel mooi nummer over wat echte liefde met je doet. Ik draai het best nog vaak.
Deze zangeres had een hele mooie stem.

I remember when we watched the ESC that year my father said, "That song is going to win!" I had to agree.
I still think it should have been in the top three, along with Germany and Switzerland.
