When ever laws change to limit or allow, any gun or part of that gun like magazines is classified as a pre-ban so for those that already own the are aloud to continue to own and use them, it falls under the "curio and relic firearm law", which means the new ban laws prevent the manufacture and sales of them in the restricted area's. Some gun shops are still allowed to sell those weapons that are made before the ban went into affect as a pre-ban.
You would have to have quite the sound equipment and speaker system to catch and then reproduce the THUMB that a BMG makes!! But I would love to hear/feel it if you could do it!!
The best part is that the gun doesn't kick hardly at all!!! Just don't be standing off to the side and behind the guy shooting. Did that ONCE!
If you want a gun that KICKS... the .50 Beowulf!!! THAT KICKS!!!
I have had some problems with the Cobb. If I were to do it again I would get a different rifle, but now that I know what ammo to avoid I've not had any problem. But it's IMHO a WEAPON should NEVER be ammo sensitive, and the Cobb is both!!
@athiestracist ... bought the gun JUST before the CA ban went into effect, so I can legal own the gun, I just can't sell it or loan it out, and it's 'registered' as an 'assault weapon'... a 40 pound 'assault weapon... definition of a dumb ass law!
@gospyro well thats cuz you live in liberalville nothing but hippies and minorities in cali and they all vote liberal ...your gun laws will always suck there ...i am glad you got around it cuz a .50 bmg is a life altering experience i love my grizzly and i am getting a barrett very soon
spent $6555 on ba-50 the rifle misfired over 90% of the time sent back cobb for refund and only got some of my money back for a defective product. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
I wish you could *accurately* catch 50BMG sound. I've got a Barrett M95 and every time I've recorded it on video, the sound just does NOT do it justice. You can hear the 'peal of thunder' echoing back for a long time after each shot. Amazing stuff!

One round, $5.00
The gun, $6,500
The scope, $1,500
Hitting the target at 800 yards, way cool...
Concussion from the rifle knocking your friend, who was standing behind you, on his ass... PRICELESS!
