I have an older son(22yrs.old now)who left home when he turned 171/2 because he could no longer deal with the embarressment of having a younger brother with autism. Now six years later, my autistic son(now 17 yrs old) has truly grown into his own. I'm a proud mother and have committed my life to my angel, I just wish my eldest son would come and get to know his autistic brother and see that he isn't so different, and I've never known a more pure hearted person. Thankyou for being such a lovin bro
Thank you for posting this video. I felt really touched because I know there are a lot of people out there who are ridiculed and ostracized for being different. There is a movie coming out called Adam about a guy with Asperger Syndrome. Hopefully it will create more awareness for such conditions.
i know someone with autisum too and children with autisum are the same thay are no differnt you should just stop and talk 2 them you will find out that thay are no differnt
My daughter and I just set up an account today when she say this video. She has been struggling with her brother's autism for some time now. She is only 10, but when she watched this she cried. She felt the need to post a response. It's the reason we made an account. :u)
my brother has autism too i feel the same way u do! :) all that stuff is the same for me! good luck with ur brother! and god bless u! and i rele dont regret my brother having autism either i love him so much!!! its is a great thing :) comment me back plz!
sorry it took so long to comment back! yea i love my brother to hes is one of the greatest people ever!!!!!! i hope that things go well for you and your brother i wish you all the best : ]
You're a really nice person. You're brother is lucky to have you. Your parents are lucky to have you. The world is lucky to have you! Should be more people like you. The world needs you! I hope you meet someone equally as nice who will look after you one day. I am certain you will! Be happy!
I think you are a fantastic and supportive brother; my son is autistic and my baby girl is thought to have Rett Syndrome, I consider myself to have Asperger's so I know exactly what prejudice your brother and many others have to deal with, it's crude and inhumane, though if it weren't for people like yourself, it could be worse. Thanks for raising awareness and showing the effects of social intolerance. Hope you're both well :)
I am autistic myself and thank you very much for sticking up for me and other people with autism. It was really encouraging to watch!! All the best mate
Thank you for talking about Autism, more people need to be aware. Keep speaking for your brother and all others, my 3 year old has PPD NOS and his siblings have a hard time dealing with him. Well we all do, but we are new to it. Again, thank you
the seperated from other people part is correct ... most people like my brother who are autistic tend to "not go with the crowd" they do their own thing and tend to do a lot of thinking... well at least my brother does... my bro is great at memmorizing stuff.. i know its not much but thats a basic bit of it ... thank you for watching my video ... means a lot
I struggle very much with relating to others, and most of the time I distance myself from other people. I feel terrified to get close to people as I've been rejected so many times.
I have just started my own youtube account on here, it's a bit bare at the mo but I'm working on it. I hope to do disability awareness stuff like you have done.
i would like to thank you for you comments ... i would also like to say to the ppl who posted their stupid porn websites and crap like that ... DONT EVER DO THAT AGAIN ... not only is that an insult to me but for everyone that this video stands for ...
Thanks for the great video!!! Our oldest son who is 11 deals with some of these issues and I am glad that there are people like yourself out there who care beyond themselves. You are an inspiration to what it means to be a brother.
kids can be such jerks at times! It's so great that you are supporting him. I have two boys ,one autistic, one NT and at this pointI'm thinking homeschool is a better option> I remember school and man kids can be merciless.
i just wanted you to know that you are a great brother. People dont stop to really look at someone before they judge them. I to have an autistic brother who is 21 with the mind of maybee a 4 year old and because he is older and acts like a toddler people are afraid of him when in all honesty he is the sweetest brother ever. I think its great that you are putting the message out there and I wish you and your brother all the best :)
This is a really touching video. I have a friend with an autistic brother and he's a really sweet kid. But its really sad sometimes because she's almost ashamed to have her friends see him. when u see him u know he's different. But when u get to talk to him he's really sweet. my moms job is to teach autistic kids. ages 6-17 and she says its really sad sometimes cuz they have a hard time connecting with u. But she says they're all very smart sweet kids when u can talk to them. Thanks
Thanks I admire the way explained about you brother. I am a 13 1/2 yr old autistic girl. People don't understand because I am so high functioning. I too get head aches from being around all the people and noise. It hurts so much I start to cry. Kids at school don't understand me so they avoid or ignore me. I wish more people were understanding and accepting.
there will always be people who cares about your brother. I work with children with asperger's, autism and also some deaf children, all of them mixed in the same school with other children who don't suffer this kind of serious needs. The can find difficulties in some aspects as socialising or learning concrete things, but on the other hand, they use to have another gift or talent that makes them be the best at something else: foreign languages, geography, dancing, arts... keep it up
what kid of autism does he have? severe, high-functioning, asperger's?
mine has asperger's, it's rough

I just have a question. Um...what does autistic mean? I am from Hong Kong, so I don't know all English Volcabuary.
From the dictionary, it says that it means: someone who cares about him/herself too much, so that he/she is separated from other people.
Is that what "autistic" mean?
