@TagRation nope. Heat still needs to be dissipated somewhere...there has to be a transfer from the liquid to the air...plastic is not a good thermal conductor.
@TagRation Why don't you submerge your rig in mineral oil and insert an aquarium temp probe in the oil and get back to me on where that heat goes. When I have questions I generally perform simple tests to find the answers. I don't rely on other people's claims. If you find my answer is inadequate the best answer then would be the one you give your self from doing the experiment. Have you liquid cooled your PC? Why bother putting fans on the radiator if there is no need for heat exchange,,,
@CyberDruidtheModGod It's really common sense. The components generate heat. The heat goes into a medium whether air or water or oil. The more medium the more heat soak it can provide, but sooner or later it is heat saturated and you get no more cooling...you reach a point of homeostasis. Beyond this point there will be a heat build up in the medium. This can happen in air too. I have worked in server rooms that are well over 100F from the heat soak. The air must be exchanged or it gets hot.
Falloutnewvegas style music....... lol did u pic that up at the repconn test site???? u just inspired me to use one to keep fresh water flowing for my sarracinias an darlingtonias....( carnivorous plants) but with style!!!! thank champ :)
@markie758 Cause gamers in your vicinity at a LAN to have an uncontrollable urge to urinate thereby giving you a distinct advantage. Or it's just something fun to look at.
Besides looking awesome and making a bit of noise, Is there any benefit to this style reservoir? Like maybe it makes bleeding really easy or something?
@MrLeonard55 Go to Overclock the PC enthusiast forum and you'll find plenty of tutorials and How-To info I and other acrylic wizards have posted. I know it's a PITA but if you search through my vids you'll find enough info to figure it out.
make me one and send it to me,i live in norway and i cant care less about the cost! pm me if theres any chance, last piece missing for my monster rig :)
could that be used as an oil cooling system (if it was bigger)?

Nice work CD, I love it! What pump is running this now? Doesn't seem like enough flow for your typical Iwaki RD30 pumps.
