I was born in 1969. I'm not really a Marcos fan. But as a Boholano I recognize some of the good things he has done. Prior to him no president has brought electicity to the country side. Not even our own Prsident Garcia. I was 5 in 1974 when we first got our electrict lights. Another good thing was that the Martial Law took away the guns from local war lords. Atleast we only have to fear the PC (Philippine Constabulary) instead of the 3 more brutal warring clans in our locality.

... how? you do know that the economy under Marcos only grew because of the loans from the World Bank and the the general growth in the world economy in the 70's, and as seen in the early/mid 80's when the world economy slumped, his corrupt acts, the promotion of inefficient monopolies, and the growth of an inefficient bureaucracy broke the back of the economy, and you see it just go down the drain.

The Heart Center, Lung Center, Kidney Center, upgrade of PGH, Cultural Center,Film Center, San Juanico Bridge, Bataan Power Plant (that cory stopped), revival of Luneta and Intramuros, North & South Luzon Expressway, etc...etc...No other president in the history of our country had done these things for the Filipinos.
