Quick tip to everyone who can't do step 5: Click the 8th button on the top row of the toolbar (where file and undo and stuff is) and then try to do filter. It's the 8th button or the one between redo and that box with the little color squares in it. :/

picture and then re-paste onto

the gray background :D

just do the haussian blur first and then the transparency mask =D
