I confess I am a geek who goes by configuration and its specific use to me. I will never argue or find an issue with apple/android or a windows fanboys. It's important the market is kept by jingoistic folks and that brings down the price of these gadgets. How would xoom come about if not for the ipad. My choices will be to decide between xoom and ipad2. Those who bought the ipad 1 or galaxy tab may be stuck with it for some time. I thank them all.

The thing i notice about tablet trends - people keep developing and revamping the softwares for tablets and there are tons of variations out there. The developers think that they are introducing new features for good, but we, the consumers are often times overwhelmed and would much prefer a straightforward interface that simply works smoothly- without all the eye candies. Not all of us are tech savvy and i think apple has done a good job so far for making the software idiot proof and practical.

It looks like Motorola is releasing this with stock Android rather than skinning it. It's about time manufacturers start doing that rather than overlay some (usually disappointing) UI widgets whose only guaranteed function is preventing the customer from getting timely OS updates!
