@chrisboi08 Unlike web-builders who prepare webs then sit and wait to catch prey, there are spiders (huntsmans and tarantulas) that travel and ambush their food. All spiders use webs though, huntmans use it mostly as 'safety lines', food storage and for their eggs. Their method of hunting is also the reason why you're more likely to encounter one in your home, it's just popping in and having a look for nom noms

Huntsman spiders are about as dangerous as a wool sweater.

Sure, it can make you a little itchy and irritated, but it can do no damage to you at all.

They're in fact great pest-killers, and you should be so lucky to have one in your neighborhood.

If you find one in your home (you probably live in australia), let him free.

He'll merrily go on his way and kill other, far worse bugs before they have a chance to bother you.

Giant Huntsmen in Australia like this one are almost universally harmless to humans, sure, they can give you a nasty bite, but mostly all they are gonna do is scare the daylights out of you.
