Just got back from her lecture @ Harvard. The film was shot at documenta Kassel. They removed cars from a garage and put two columns that weighted twice as the performers bodies that were identical as the other concrete ones. Marina said she was fascinated by the concept of superhuman strength and reaching the limits of the body - that's why she is slamming the column with her torso and moving it, almost as symbolic act. She performs naked because her body is the medium.
