  • I'd like to have seen that Hilux have another chance with diff. tires tho.!!,dont see those in the U.S. I'm in the market for a Tracker/ Sidekick 4door. How do they hold up against the other 4x4's there?

  • someone tell that white hilux driver to get some proper tyres lol

  • @timmay556 hahaha yeah they got sold with the white hilux, they were old style SAT ReTreads and the rubber was real hard because they were near 25 years old i think. got them for nothing so nothing to loose giving them a go. they actually went quite well in the streams but as soon as the clay/mud of the east coast built up in the tread it was like driving on slick tyres.

  • @garynz345 10/10 for effort though!!!

  • whata you talking about! lol V8 lexus hiluxs rule! easy to out do a safari

  • @V8HlLuX101 nothing wrong with the v8's hahahahaha

  • Yeah they are a big unit , big engine lots of torque , turbo even better , bullet proof. yeah i was looking at hilux sr5's but they are expensive and probably a big to good to go bush bashing in lol. cheers mate. :)

  • and to think i was going to buy a hilux double cab ute haha i think ill go with the safari now :)

  • the safari is a good tough truck but is heavy and wide, but they do have power (especially turbo charged ones) and are easily able to fit 35 inch tires. the hilux is a good all round machine, though slightly under powered and they have a terrible turning circle. i think i would be looking for one of the newer sr5 turbo models. best of luck!!
