  • What was the clock operator doing? "Is this home-cookin' or what?" Brandstatter said it right. Sparty Bob: What. A. Crook. No wonder they fired his ass and the Big Ten made clock operators neutral from then on out because of that.

  • "WATCH OUT HAYGOOD, WATCH OUT! oh, ok they're over there." wow, i hate fat frank and jim. two of the biggest idiots ever.

  • Bitch all you want, U-Mad, but Little Sister's no longer the football superpower in this state.

  • Nice editing job. Yep, that's the entitled UM radio idiots synched up to the video. Guess UM shoulda stopped that TD pass, huh?

  • that is some good hd

  • Don't you love the blatant favoritism that some officials show? Just look at Roundtree's possibly game-changing TD catch that was overturned for Mich. against Iowa this year.

  • @BaconFrisbee

Maybe you should've just been like us and thoroughly romped Iowa in Kinnick.

inb4 Notre Dame and Nebraska (you were graced with home games)

  • its ok UM still owns little brother

  • God are Michigan fans still bitching about this? Really? Pretty pathetic. Shouldn't you guys be more upset that We've beaten you 4 times in a row?

  • "thats criminal"? wow fuck michigan

  • The call is from the Michigan radio guys...not ESPN so of course they are biased towards Ann Whorebore.

Dont give a shit...fuck Michigan and their entitlted fans....fuck them large and fuck the FAG house

  • @DoBe0001 DAMN LOL!!!!

  • @DoBe0001 Dude 1. I'm guessing you've never been to the Big House, or you wouldn't be talking trash. It isn't just the largest stadium in the country. It's the third largest in the world. 2. Michigan leads the series 67-32-5 3. You're just mad because nobody likes MSU and they only hit half-capacity at their 75k seat mudpit.

  • @BaconFrisbee

I'd rather be in a stadium of 80k Spartan students and alums than a mosh pit of 100k Walverines.

  • Comment removed

  • Frame-by-frame instant replay proved that the clock operator and officials got it exactly right. Victory for MSU...fair and square!!

  • Never heard this before. There's probably another one that is favorable to the Spartans out there. As in there was 1 second left on the "official clock" or something. I'm so glad State won. I was watching and I think I hit the ceiling. They have had several dramatic wins since then. That one though was one of the all time best because it was against Michigan.

  • Nice commentating, very unbiased. I don't understand why this a big deal, and how did the announcers know the clock should have run out? Nobody has ever timed this, for all we know, the second between :01 and :02 was .9 seconds.

  • @TheFastStacker19 Their clock is synched to the one on the scoreboard. The guy who hits the button to stop the clock got a little jumpy because he was on staff for MSU. He was not impartial.

  • @BaconFrisbee

Neither are you. Quit your bitching, scUM.

  • announcer must have been a U of M fan

  • "They stopped the clock, Jim!"

Yeah, because he spiked the ball, dipshit.

  • @FunWithFootball But the clock had run to 0:00. It was only because of a tech error that they won the game.

  • I love listening to the U of M homers accusing MSU of being homers.

  • 10 years later, and it's still funny how much crying there is. The best thing about the game was that they finally shut up about Desmond Howard (who should've caught that pass as well).

  • 10 years have passed. It's still MSU 26, Michigan 24. FINAL. Michigan fans can cry about it until the end of time and it still won't change the outcome of this game.

  • @BHoz77 Jealous.

  • special was done on sportscenter there was about .9 seconds left when he spiked the ball...watch the clock closely when smoke spikes the ball you can tell one second should have been on there

  • Yeah, cuz you know Michigan has never benefited by a clock issue on a spiked ball. Definitely didnt happen the last time they won a national championship. No way. /watch?v=UZMqS83n_vw

  • @whoopfajitas did you watch your own video?

  • I've never heard such unprofessional broadcasting in my life. Garbage.

  • the commentators sound like they're calling a wrestling match and someone just cost the good guy the match. Go Green

  • Classy handshake by Lloyd. I'm sure it was all Bobby's fault that the clock "stopped" if that's what you want to call it. Very professional commentary from Beckman as well.

  • How in the hell do you know it was a student running the clock? Were you there I was at this game and the clock on the score board ran fine.

  • @MrDlipp23 Sparty Bob was not a student, he was the clock operator for MSU for 21 years. Thankfully, Spartan Bob doesn't do that anymore. The Big Ten was sufficiently embarassed by his shenanigans in '01 to make timekeepers neutral, starting the next season.

  • @BonoVox41691 Your so full of shit, like i said i was at the game and the clock stopped normally.

  • @MrDlipp23 LOL, the clock stopped normally! PROBABLY NOT!

  • @BonoVox41691 Do you cry on your pillow every night because of this play? I think so.

  • @MrDlipp23 Just admit that MSU CHEATED and got away with one!

  • @BonoVox41691 no cause they didn't cheat. Worry about this year not the past.

  • @MrDlipp23 you said yourself the clock didnt stop normally

  • @maymunaxxx Might wanna read that again there pal!

  • @MrDlipp23 The time keeper jumped the gun by a 1/2 second. your words budy, sorry you cant handle the fact that you had to cheat to beat loyd car

  • @maymunaxxx I said it as a Question dumbass lol do you know how to read?

  • CHEATERS!

  • @BonoVox41691 LOL!!!!!!

  • @BonoVox41691 How did the cheat? Look up about how theres a delay on the clock the refs would of blown the whistle so it was completely fair.

  • @MrDlipp23 Come on, everyone knows that Sparty Bob stopped the clock.

  • @BonoVox41691 You just look dumb its called DELAY.

  • @MrDlipp23 LMAO!! A delay on the clock? You mean when Spartan Bob stopped the clock at 0:01 before Smoker spiked the ball. You can call it what you want. Plain and simple, clock should have run out. Those Big Ten officials were a joke throughout the whole game.

  • @BonoVox41691 Ok listen sore loser they have explain this before your just to dumb to realize it. Read the comments on the other videos of this catch.

  • @MrDlipp23 I don't have a problem when MSU beats Michigan fair and square. However, I do have a problem with the 2001 game because the clock miraculously (and erroneously) stopped with :01 left in the game. A direct employee of MSU gave an intentional advantage to their own school by hanging the clock and changing the outcome of the game.

  • @BonoVox41691 The clock you see on TV, for the complainers out there, is an UNOFFICIAL GAME CLOCK. The Ref on the field has the official time at all times.

    Learn the rules, whiners.

  • @MrDlipp23 No, they started keeping time on the field because of this play.

  • @BonoVox41691 You do understand that even if it did each zero they still have tenths of a second to stopped it right? That's what happen buddy, so It does not matter if someone stopped it they still would of stopped the clock by spiking it within the time frame which is what they did.

  • @MrDlipp23 How many excuses can you come up with to try and justify that Smoker spiked the ball with time left on the clock? You keep posting these ridiculous comments and have been wrong the entire time.

  • @BonoVox41691 All of you are a bunch of bitches. the time stopped in time like I said the refs keep the real time if there was anything different then the refs would of blow the whistle but they didn't so get over it. Good luck against ND tonight.

  • @BonoVox41691 How was anything michigan did at the end fair? How about on the 12 men penalty when they still took MSU's timeout away? They should have blown it dead right at the end of the play and MSU should have had 4 more seconds and a timeout. Plus the sack on the play still counted. They marked the ball at the 11 and gave them 2nd and 3 when MSU should have had 1st and 1 from the 9 and a timeout with 4 more seconds, but I guess that doesn't matter does it. continued.....

  • @BonoVox41691 Plus the head of big ten officials Dave Perry said he "went over that game with a fine tooth comb" and said the clock was correct. This was back in a day and age that the big ten was giving out apologies for their fuck ups every week. Stop being ignorant.

  • @BonoVox41691 I am mistaken. After I looked it up I found that Parry's exact quote was “that play, as much as we’ve put that under a high-powered microscope, was correct. We could not prove that timer wrong.” Clocks in college football don't go under 1 second. There was probably something like 2 tenths of a second left. That's how it works.

  • Ol' Spartan Bob....

  • LOLOLOLOLOL
