Thanks for posting, poor american here, trying to get back to europe. Saw these guys live in 94, Viborg, Danmark, then again in the same city 06 or 07. Have 8 of their cds and can't wait to get back and see them again.
Is there anyone who knows where you can pick up the sheet music for this awesome tune (for the bagpipes) was lucky enough to hear them play this at a folk festival on the Isle of Bute many years ago and its truly amazing !!!!!!!
I remember first time I heard Wolfstone. I was on youtube and searching for the Wolftones, very different am sure you's will all know :) Glad I found them and prefer them to the Woltones any day!!!
Thanks for the send, this sounds good. Will check out more of their songs. i got a cd from Three Peace Sweet from Orkney, who sound a bit familiar. Also got some Chris Armstrong and Gordon Duncan with some other instruments backing. Cheers
Hey! This song is really rocking. If anyone wants to get a glimpse of the ambience of Scotland or Britain, just close your eyes, and listen this music. You'll feel its glory, its power but also its pain... All in all: amazing and expressing piece of music. Congrats for the video as well...

@MACK0040 Duncan Chisholm is great, especially the redpoint album (he's the fiddle player in Wolfstone by the way) The Chair from Orkney are amazing, unlike any other folk band, as are Saltfishforty. New Runrig is quite folky, Lau have some singing, but are amazing musicians. Peatbog Faeries, amazing band, such a good blend of genres, but the music is incredible. Drever Mcusker and Woomble are good, but have singing. Hope this helps :)
@MACK0040 Its the only song by them with no song - but you could try a song named "Equilibrium - Mana" thats a symphoni from the band - a very beautiful piece of music....
Scottish music: I love it and this piece of music is a real masterpiece. I really hope that in the near future Scottish music will be played more often here in The Netherlands.
The first time i heard this song was at the Wolfstone concert in Bught park, Inverness, Hogmany 1998. It gave me the chills then and still does every time i hear it. It's brilliant and i love Wolfstone, particularly Duncan. He can play the fiddle like no one i've ever heard before.
I'm searching for a song by wolfstone which is played in our local irish pub and I can't find it @ youtube. My someone knows a song, which could be played in a bar or a pub?
Well that makes it infinitely more difficult ;-) Is it fast or slow? New or old? And are you sure it's by Wolfstone? I guess the best place to start is listening through all the snippets on Itunes, for example, I think all their albums are on there, and you may be able to determine what it is, from the 20 secs you can play them for. Alternatively, next time you hear it played in the pub, why not ask what it is? ;-) Let me know how it goes ;-)
On second thoughts, the only "Wolfstone song" I've ever heard played in an Irish pub was "The Queen of Argyll" (not an original Wolfstone song, I should add) - you will that on You Tube. Is this what you're looking for, by any chance?
@EnchantingZena That's how I found out about Wolfstone when I was lOOking for WolfTones. I much prefer Wolfstone though. I do wish there was a Scottish version of the Wolftones though.
ty so much, i dont allow ratings as i dont make these to get ratings, just for ppl to enjoy the music and photos i put up.. ty for stopping by and leaving a comment, take care
@EnchantingZena The way it should be. A wise choice. This is none the less one heck of an awesome track. First album I heard was Unleashed and that was pretty much the limit to what I'd heard of anything by Wolfstone. This is brilliant, thanks a lot for posting this because it is frankly, bloody amazing.
I heared the Band Live in Scotland near the Highlands in Inverness together with Runrig! It was the Best Day of my Life.Music was all around my Head.If you like Scttish Tunes please hear also the Songs of The old Blind Dogs and the Tunes from Albannach!
This is my most favourite song. I hope that if one near day I will get marry, I want this song played for me too! And if I could get marry in Scotland, it could be very fantastic!!! :)
