I've lived my whole 16 years here, and although I love the coast and land, I have never been an accepted member of the state's tight clans, still quite alive in Down East Maine. I am an "outsider" I suppose, and being left on the outside of something your entire life is not a very nice feeling.

I've lived in Iowa all my life and have never seen an ocean. The first time I heard Dan's "The Reach" I fell in love with something I had yet to see.
This summer my hope is to see the Pacific with my beloved and the dream which began with this beautiful song will come true.
