@boomsele rasumussan was only one of the polls taken. cnn, time, marist and cbs have all done polls. the results vary, but in every poll the majority of americans are opposed to the mosque. and mosque or not, it will have a huge islamic symbol on the street facing side.

i see nothing in islam that compels me to respect it. child marriage, public execution by stoning, honor killings and terrorism. and while you're so eager to support building this mosque, know this... mosques are used to radicalize muslims.

America went into the middle east and started crap when they should not have. Muslims fought back. But what about the american muslims who have lived here all their lives? It is also clear that you have no clue what's been going on the last 10 years. Holland has got nothing to do with America. I have been there. I have been to both places. In comparrison, Holland is heaven, and America is hell. In Holland, They don't send pot smokers in jail, nor is gender neutral marriage a huge issue.

Look up Sufism and Wahabbism and learn the difference.

and i really don't care about the semantical differences between different islamic philosophies. what does it matter? all that matters is how muslims behave. and their behavior is despicable.
