The brother is not worshiping the prophet (peace be upon him) he is saying we are thankful to you because he brought us the message of Allah (glorious and exalted is he) :)
We must ALL be grateful to our beloved prophet.
We love him more than our parents
We love him more than our siblings and friends
We love god (glorious and exalted is he) more than anything in this whole universe

But i have a quetstion, why does the old brother say "Oh massenger of Allah we r thankfull to you"
Its like he is worshiping our prophet sws, but the one and only who is worth to worship is Allah swt.
