  • Does he get any relief from smoking marijuana?

  • how did he get it?

  • ugh. i see all these afflictions that "no one knows" much about, or how to treat. i am not completely christian yet but i am starting to really "get" it. there ARE demons. (i know, crazy, haha, weirdo). Demons DO speak to people, invade people, and have an objective even. i haven't fully decided whether i see it as spiritual or sience. but there is definitely negative elements / energies that are trying to kill? / possess? us. I think they can actually be shoved out. please research. try.

  • Your dad is a strong man. Much more than all the asshats that deny his disability put together. Hope he finds some comfort to deal with this condition.

  • I was given reglan for my stomach problems and now I have Tardive Dyskinesia. It is so embarrasing but thank god my soon to be hubby is here to stick by me

  • @savionne2 How long were you on reglan before you developed tardive dyskenesia?

  • i took reglan med for heartburn...and now i have tardive dyskinesia...for heartburn...drug companies know what it does to people, they don't care...they made billions selling reglan/poison because they know they only have to pay out millions in lawsuits...and so the wheel keeps on spinning...they still make a profit...thats why you see a different commercial every month, about another med lawsuit..

  • @TheDrac3000 How long did you take reglan before you developed tardive dyskenesia? One time an ER doc prescribed me an anti-nausea pill that came with a warning about tardive dyskenesia. I think I took it once or twice because I was terrified of the warning that came with that medication.

  • if you are sad or feeling depressed, how about getting a hobby or something, maybe exorcise instead of turning to medication. The worst side effect of those are failure.

  • give that man some Benadryl! Docs use it to treat dystonias and dyskinesias

  • Did he take antipsychotic medication??

  • That would annoy the hell out of me.

  • This is very tragic and sad. Amazing how terrible some medications side effects are.

  • seeing this video is from 2009 i'm curious if he ever got the medical attention he needed?

  • tardive dysknesia is caused by long term exposure to conventional antipsychotics

  • Hey guys, maybe don't take medical advice from comments on youtube -- it may be wrong; and maybe don't give here either, even if you're right -- it can misinterpreted or misunderstood and acted upon inappropriately.

  • @abendroth85 The medication cogentin is supposed to help prevent it, but once you have it, it will only make it worse.

  • "my father was finally able to see a doctor, who diagnosed him with a movement disorder called tardive dyskinesia. His doctor believes this condition was onset by a seasonal flu shot." Only neuroleptic drugs cause TD. In some, incredibly rare (in in 3 million) cases they can be caused by antidepressants, but 5% of patients per year taking neuroleptics (20% in 4 years) develop TD.

  • This really is terrible. Meanwhile they continue to run huge campaigns to push flu vaccines every year. You may wish to look into Andy Cutler chelation to remove the mercury from the flu vaccine. Antioxidant vitamins, B vites etc are part of that protocol and may be very beneficial in helping his symptoms. It is very unfortunate that our government has allowed legislation that does not allow anyone to sue vaccinate manufactures for damage. I truly hope he find relief soon.

  • @QueenPaxi *Rolls eyes* this isn't caused by flu shots. It's caused by damage to the basal ganglia, with there being no such thing as encaphalitis lethargica anymore, only neuroleptics (antipsychotic drugs) cause this.

  • Comment removed

  • well then disregards my suggestions. Good luck to you.

  • drugs that should be stopped immediately are neuroleptics ....Drugs that should be taken to hopefully relieve this condition are anticholinergics (goes by the name benzotropine)... i cried when i watched this video because i can t imagine the suffering he s in ....

  • mellaril did this to me but only lasted a short time.my legs curled up like a motion my arms and hands would do.

  • psychiatrists ARE DESTROYING people. They need to be stopped. Too many deaths and permanent damage has occured with their toxins which THEY KNOW cause death and perm suffering. Want a better world?.. Get rid of psychiatrists.

  • @SuperDelta000 you`re an idiot...they have no other way to go.you only have this m,edicine available so you have no other options.you can either let him schizo or ha;lucinating or treat him.you moron

  • @halyn1986 He's not hallucinating, he has nerve damage from a flu shot. he doesnt need psychiatric drugs that damage. you are an idiota.

  • @SuperDelta000 no my dear firend..psychiatrists try their very best to treat these lovely people...but currently the drugs which are available have side effects which can be disabling....may be our dear alan here was prescribed on antipsychotics and hence he has developed tardive dyskineas as side effects which are often irreversible...maybe some research in future will help us to overcome this side effect.

  • I hope he gets the help he deserves soon. I read something about dyskinesia and the color blue. Looking at a blue paper or something of royal blue color can help in some cases. Have you tried that? It may provide some relief before you get your hearing. Best of luck to ya.

  • This video brought tears to my eyes, I could sense the frustration in your father's voice. I hope he finds the help he needs and finds true relief and peace soon!

  • Ashley - I have mild TD from taking antipsychotics for bipolar disorder. Please, do not listen to ANYONE else on this forum that tells you vitamins, minerals, fruits and vegetables are going to help. I am an RN. Nothing is going to improve your father's TD except for a competent treatment plan developed by a neurologist or a psychiatrist. You need a comprehensive history from your Dad, including any medications that he took. I wish you the best of luck getting help for him.

  • @xXgreenHonuXx Medications are what got him this in the first place. Could marijuana do any good?

  • Klonopin, Ativan, Botox is helpful, downers downers downers. The nervous system is misfiring, this is nerve damage. Boron chelate will help extract any harmful metals that may be stored in the body and yes they DO put neuro toxins in shots. Overtime this SHOULD get better best wishes to your dad..

  • He needs Boron Chelate over the counter and LOTS of it. Flu shots contain mercury which damages the nervous system look into it.

  • Ill pray for your father, look for a message from me I have a question.

  • i hope your father finds help to improve...i commend your initiative to show the world and hopefully this is shown to higher authorities...we all wish to see the health system improve

  • I am so sorry for you and your father,.,.and hope he is getting the help he needs,.

  • sorry to hear this man!

  • I am so sorry your dad had to go through this, it must have been so hard to watch, hope he is finding resolution!

  • Good luck, and thank you for sharing your story. :(

  • The best treatment for tardive dyskenesis is high dose vitamin B6 and B3 with 15 - 30 mg of Manganese. Lithium orotate is also very helpful. Dr Abram Hoffer is the doctor to look up - he has done extensive research with manganese and high dose of vitamin B3 (niacin or nicotinamide) apparently with very good results. He is a doctor that uses orthomolecular treatment.

  • it's amazing that you're takin care of your dad! so many people leave their parents as they grow older.. the same people who cleaned our butts when we were a baby.. it's astounding.

  • Immigrate to Canada. If he gets approved for citizenship, he could probably get all the help he needs. I feel your pain.

  • Try vitamin e perhaps. 1200 mg. What pills did he take to cause this? I am 18 and had it since 16 from psych pills for anxiety. Now im insane, go into psychotic states, get crazy. I believe the antipsychotics or antidepressants did something to my normal chemistry. I feel gone. We should do something about this. Form a group and stop this rx damage. It's no different than murder, worse even. TD and dystonia are like water dripping torture. IT.IS.HELL. Message me.

  • @utube3215

    youtube{.}com/watch?v=Zhwu4pSLBRk

  • I hope your breathing symptoms resolve

  • Mr. Wilson might look into the possibility of trying Xenazine.

  • try an atypical antipsychotic that will block both the dopamine and serotonin in the basal ganglia. probably will mask these movements within three months. i take seroquel for my td

  • I can relate to the chopping off...

  • Has Mr. Wilson tried Topamax ? It is for seizures and i also take it for something like restless leg syndrome and sleep. It seems to have benefits many are not aware of and watching your dad made me think that would maybe help relieve some of his anguish. I hope he finds care, compassion and peace in recovery !!! Health care reform needs to include seminars to teach drs. to listen to ppl and Social Security recognizing more conditions that are disabling.

  • Im so sorry, I wish i could really do something instead of jus saying I wish I could do something.

  • This truly is a very moving video. Your father and your family will be in my prayers. I see in your update that you were able to get assistance, I hope it will be a blessing for you and your father.

  • i'm so sorry...i'm not even related and i'm disturbed by it. to watch my father go through something like that all day everyday, every night.....also, benedryl works to relieve the symptoms, so few people know it. walgreens, little tablets, benedryl helps. i know because i've gone through something like this. it's painful, frustrating, and exhausting.

  • @Jiffybob47 benedryl dont work for tardive dyskinesias

  • @ThePlazimiciron Cuba's government looks big, because of their tiny country. LOL. Your right. Canada here we come.

  • @ThePlazimiciron You are an idiot.

  • poor guy

  • Please inform readers and viewers about your father's use of medications, including use of anti-psychotic medications, so users of these medications can discontinue their use. It is difficult for me to watch your father's suffering, poor man. I truly hope he is able to get some medical help.

  • @kevo4091 At least 1.5 million adults (as of 2005) were being court ordered to take neuroleptics, usually via depot (time released) injections. It's estimated that another 3 to 7 million are coerced to take them and a total of around 5 million in neither group are at least supposed to take them to receive social supports such as SSI, subsidized housing and supported employment. Plus there are over one million children in the U.S. on them, and they have no choice. It's not so easy to just stop.

  • my "who are you?/" response was aimed at tdittyx2x3

  • My last responses were aimed at tdittyx2x3 actually! That's the only part of my comment that I feel needs to be corrected

  • who are you??? you literally made me sit up in bed, once i read the first sentence of your reply.

no one who has sword bythe hippocratic oath and actually understood it's words would ever utter something like that in speech let alone in written form.

did you not study the etiology of these diseases??

or easily put, in your "professional" opinion, how many cases of TRUE psychosis or psychopathy, or sociopathy or self-harming behavior have you found to NOT have a root in societal affect??

  • Durandrosarc is right.. Tardive Dyskinesia is the unfortunate result of long term "typical" anti-psychotics. Haloperidol, chlorpromazine, thioridazine, etc. Side note: We have since come out with "atypical" anti-psychotics which have a reduced risk of TD, risperidone and clonapine are examples.

Benzodiazepines (xanax, valium, etc) do not cause tardive dyskinesia because they work entirely differently.

  • Just to get the story straight, benzodiazepine class drugs do not contribute to this condition, but neuroleptic / antipsychotic drugs (Dopamine antagonists) are the cause. Haldol is an example of these drugs.

    "Dr. Trying To Help"

  • I am not sure if Rx drugs did this to you, but most cases of Tardive Dyskinesia are caused by benzodiazepines and other meds that work on the nervous system. I have heard that flu shots can cause problems as well. Depending on what did this to you, there is an online support group called Benzobuddies that has helped me tremendously, as an Rx drug caused me to have TD.

Good luck in your journey. I hope my home remedies offer you some relief.

  • Alan,

I am also a victim of Rx drug damage. With no help from the Doctors, I was able to find some relief in certain alternative remedies. Namely: Magnesium via epsom salt baths, Magnesium Glycinate supplements (Vitamin Shoppe sells them), and also fish oil supplements (Nordic Naturals is the best brand). All of these work naturally on the nervous system. I understand your financial restraints, but they could improve your quality of life significantly if someone could help you buy them.

  • Currently I am a nursing student, in my 7th semester at the University of Texas. I am NOT a R.N. yet so please don't take my advice as professional.

First, I want to say that this video truely touched my heart. I am so sorry.

There is currently no known treatment for tardive dyskinesia. If you go to the "National Institue of Mental Health" it could possibly provide you with some information regarding his condition.

Was he taking any other meds other than the shot?

  • @dlcrim

    youtube{.}com/watch?v=Zhwu4pSLBRk

  • Thank you for sharing. I pray your father gets the help he needs. God bless.

  • damn, thats horrible that he suffers like this, unimaginable. is this painful?

  • How's he doing these days now that he is seeing a Neurologist?

  • our waiting lines may be long in Canada, but good god not THAT long. and i'nm so blessed that i can get free medical care anytime, anywhere, no threat of cost.

universal heath care seems so common sense, but USA is the only and last country to adopt this not-at-all-like-socialism way of supporting citizens.. Obama gets flack bcuz he isn't "doing much" but rly ev1 in the states should just be happy that youhave a competent pres in office tht the entire rest of the world doesnt take 4 a joke.

  • @dopetype "Obama a competenet president" ? - Are you smoking crack mate?!

  • @mysql0

obama is no differnt that any other president in that, he is either 'horrible' or ' not completely horrible' for the global population. and ' tolerable' or ' pleasant' for his constituents..

lets not agrue about obama, when youJUST got over an 8 yr rule of Bush..

just be happy the USa isn't bombed to rubble by now.

which is only a testiment to humanity and how well-adjusted and understanding we can be thru the most trying of times.

  • @dopetype "obama is no differnt that any other president" - Exactly proving my point. How on earth can you say that "Obama is a competent president". He's just another incompetent puppet president, to give the slaves the illusion of power, control and change, who only serves his global Elite.

You must be smoking crack if you think Obama is competent.

Obama said he was going to stop the wars - hes expanded them. Obama said he wouldnt do signing orders - he has. Obama said he wouldnt increase gov

  • @dopetype It cant be that great if so many Canadians come down to MD Anderson for cancer treatment.

Ok, ok, thats not fair, but look; I lived at MD Anderson for a while for treatment, and there are more then a fair share of Canadians that feel they need to come all the way down here for decent treatment.

I am not saying cases like this arent tragic, but I do get a little sick of hearing how wondrous health care is in Canada when clearly there are still flaws.

  • @ChaosBladewing

to continue my first response to this:

i ask, are you that desentitized to the human condition that you believe that humanity is that rotten? are you that priviledged that you have no inkling of thehuman sitation right outside your doorstep.

moreso than any addict or self-destorying individual, i'm embarrassed of you as a representative of humanity.

all i can think when iread your response is: gross.

please get your head out of your ass, and honestly+openly look around CLOSELY

  • @dopetype when did I say humanity is rotten? I just said I lived at MD Anderson for a time, ONE OF MY FRIENDS DIED OF CANCER WHILE I WAS BEING TREATED!

So yeah, I am aware of human suffering. And I my fingers are actually trembling typing this because you assume so much about me.

All I said was that I dont think you have the right to be self-satisfied when Canada has its own share of problems. And before you start calling my outlook gross take a good hard look at what you said about bombing US

  • @ChaosBladewing

I've taken a good long hard look at what I said, and it still rings true and accurate. The fact that the USA is not bombed by many of it's enemies is a testament to the good in humanity.

I don't live my life in fear, and I dont feel there is a need for anyone to need to do so either. For all the hardship and pain in the world you would think there would be more evil. But there isn't because, the sweeping majority of humans are beautiful people.

  • @ChaosBladewing

I never said canada has the perfect health care system, but we have already won the hardest part of the war by socializing health care. which is common sense to every single human being that hasn't been numbed into not listening to their conscience.

  • @dopetype You know what. Health is so much more than just random chance. The more I learn as a medical student, the more I believe that it is NOT a basic human right to receive free health care. SO many problems are caused by people themselves. People drink too much. They smoke too much. They shoot heroin. They eat too many cheeseburgers. I'm just as guilty as anyone, and when I come down with emphysema and clotted coronary arteries, I don't want anyone else paying for my care but me.

  • in a double blind cross over fashion. The patients were given 100mg of B6 daily, increasing weekly in 100 mg increments to a total of 400 mg/day by the fourth week. The study found significant improvements in various movement scores (i.e. parkinsonism, dystonia, and dyskenetic movement. Get vitamin B-6 and melatonin, this may help.

  • I saw some videos on here about tardive dyskenisia and there whole body is moving, its caused by a medication usually anti psychotics and other types of meds but i dont think its curable he needs to see a nuerologist and get treated with medication for this. Its awful that he cant get the help he needs. I wish our government did more for its people. Is he any better now? This video was made over a year ago? How is he?

  • Another clinical study shows: Lecithin (phosphatidylcholine) treatment:

20 grams and greater for general cases

50 grams/day or greater for difficult cases

*extremely safe nutrient You can BUY lecithin over the counter at most health food stores. It's CHEAP and very safe. Lectithin is also found in egg yolks. Bless you for taking care of your dad. God will bless you for your love.

  • I am proud of what you're doing, for your father, and for others who are suffering. I voted for Obama, but he suffers from a complete disconnect from reality. It's called the "I've forgotten where I came from" disease. There is little hope for recovery, and once you fall into it's depths, all sense of reality is lost. Only when they have to survive as we do, will they understand. They have cadillac insurance and retirement. No worries for them. Good luck in your journey. Peace&Love

  • What a shitty country you guys have.

  • According to my pharm book, it looks like he has dystonia- Adminstration of anticholinergic drugs such as biperiden(Akineton) or procyclidine (Kemadrin) can reverse acute dystonia-

TD is characterized by involuntary tongue and face movements- According to my text it appears to be more localized to the face, whereas dystonia involves severe muscle spasms of back, nexk, tongue and face. Also look up a condition called Akathisia. It almost seems like he as a combination of all three..

  • @TheAngief2287 i would agree with that, but im not a doctor im a pharmacologist so all I know of is diphenhydramine. They use that in parkinsons too.

  • I hope your dad get relief. As of you too.

  • malinger

  • I pray to God , that soon your father can live a comfortable life. It pains me to see this, so i cannot imagine how you all must feel. I'm sorry i cannot help- but i wish you all the best in life.

  • I pray for you, your dad, and pray that every American can get medical treatment in the future. Hugs.

  • Obamacare could have helped here, too bad everybody thinks it is so evil.

Not to be mean or anything but I have NEVER heard of TD coming from a flu shot, I think your father may have some secrets he is not revealing.

It is actually much more likely that he got the condition from drug use, either prescription anti-psychotics or hard street drugs.

Anyhow I wish him the best of luck, sometimes TD goes away.

  • Praying so hard for your father. God bless him and I do hope he will be okay again:) all the best x

  • wish you get well soon sir , i feel so concerned and sorry about you and wish you to get better from all my heart

  • i have been just superscribed geodan i read it causes this .. u guys need 2 sue

  • I have had onset of tardive dyskinesia twice as a result of medication taken for bipolar disorder. Anyone taking medication that puts you at risk needs to be vigilant in observing for possible symptoms. You have to see a doctor and get off the causal medications ASAP should they occur. From my research currently the only treatment is prevention...

  • Fucking American and their shittiest health care in the world.

  • I used to think I was losing my mind when this began happening to me. Although my symptoms are not nearly as bad as Alan's', I've lost most friends and a job because of my involuntary movements.

  • I felt so bad watching this, especially when he said "I envy normal people, I used to be normal." I wish you people all of the best..

  • I am happy to hear the ssa denial has been overturned. i know your father's situation well as i have been this way (exactly) since 2001 and cannot resolve my ssa denial either. the saa has treated me as a criminal and seem to be waiting for me to die - so they do no have to add me to the list of disabled. i send my sincere best wishes and i can only offer prayers.

  • @TERYDOTCOM

Get more doctors opinions, that is the trick to getting disability, tons of doctor opinions in your favor.

  • I am so deeply sorry to hear about your father Ashley and Heather. This really brought tears to my eyes. I'm doing some studies on TD, and this just about sums up what I was looking for. Actually, it was more than what I was looking for in terms of symptoms, but I commend both you and your sister for having the love, patience and compassion to be there for your father. He is truly blessed to have both of you. Praying for a miraculous cure! Please let us know how he is doing.

  • I pray for a cure for this horrible condition, as a mental health professional I find very disturbing that someone can suffer to this extent. I for one cannot not see how this type of suffering as a fair trade off for the mental illness they were seeking relief from. Father God in Jesus name deliver any one who is suffering from this disorder immediately!!

  • Have you ever considered his tardive dyskinesia to be a side effect of medicine? Some of the anti psychotic medicine a doctor can prescribe has this very special side effect...! Especially the older 1st generation anti psychotics like Haloperidol and Zuclopenthixol! If this is the case you will need to shift to one of the newer 2nd generation anti psycotics like Olanzapin or Clozapin! Although you need to be aware of adverse side effects like massive weight gain and cardio vascular side effects!

  • @tbtlaursen I read that an estimated 20% of those who take certain anti-depressant medications develop the illness.

  • Wow. The worst part of having a terrible disorder is when you can't get treatment for it, and the mental anguish of feeling you are not important enough for anyone to care what you are experiencing. I am glad your dad and your family were able to stay strong enough to make it through this ordeal of getting a diagnosis. Thank God you were finally able to get Medicaid. I hope he improves! And I hope you are able to have some peace as well.

  • Do you have some kind of fund set up for people to donate to your father's medical bills? Or is there a website for him?

  • thats where the obama care steps in. i know it is said but the care does not set money for people like your father. obama and clinton mentioned on many occasions that they wont sponsor anyone with diseases and disorders.

  • @blazejewiczk He did get his Medicaid and will probably get his disability under the Obama Administration. Under Bush II I was denied medicaid and disability from 2004 through 2008 despite having congestive heart failure, severe hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, COPD, stroke, and clinical depression. I became so depressed I quit even applying and basically became homeless. I applied again at the end of 2009 under the Obama Administration and was approved within 3 months.

  • This video brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry about your dad. He will be in my prayers!

  • My prayer goes out to your father, you and your family. As a pharmacist and health economist, I am exploring ways to overhaul the system.

  • my mom has just been diagnosed with this.. she got hers from a medicine she had taken for being bi-polar. we waited forever for a diagnosis as well- i know what you are going through this is a terrible disorder. i feel so sorry for him and i will pray for him and his whole family as i do know what you are going through. i also live in NC by the way... thanks for posting this video.

  • We do not know what anyone else is really going through unless we walk a mile in their shoes. God loves you all and we are all equal in his eyes. Had you been the only person on earth, Alan God would have still die for you. He will come through for you and not a minute too soon OR too late. Trust is what we all should do and I will mention your names in my prayers as I hit my knees daily and not just at night. Sometimes because we feel we haven't gotten any help we feel like God isn't there. NT

  • I have been a nurse for some 19 years now. I've seen TD several times but I can not say I have seen it to this extent! I so lift Alan and your daughters (and the rest of the family) up to God in prayer. As awful as this disease is God is still on the throne. He wll take care of you even wen we do not think he is looking after us or even listening to us. It is my hopes that you, Alan can find some type of comfort somehow and somewhere. My heart breaks for the caregivers and Alan himself.

  • This could have easily been prevented if the goddamn dotors who prescribed the medicine would have just cared alittle bit! My prayers and heart go out to your father!

  • I got TD 4 yrs ago from taking a certain med for only 4 days. I am very lucky in the fact that it isn't constant, just comes in attacks. I live in Alberta, Canada. I've been given Cogentin and Ativan for the attacks (pill form) but if I don't take it in time then I call the EMT'S and I'm given 50 - 125 mg of Benedryl IV and then at hosp. 2 mg Cogentin IV. It always has worked...Have u tried any of that?

  • I am so sorry... I am praying for your dad....

  • Hey nc5starchick ....... I am really sorry that your dad is going through that....... just ignore all those who talk crap... they arent worth your time.... I take invega for my hallucinations and yeah, it scares me about the possiblity of having something so painful... i hate it for your dad tho.....

  • try to masturbate ...then lets see if you still cant sleep more than you can do before ..

.its a treatment i am retard i mean retired Dr. its a science ,,,,,,,, its good for circulation start to ejaculate yourself now

  • There is a class action lawsuit against the makers of Redlin - I just saw a commercial for it on TV. Maybe for those of you who have TD you can google the law firm involved in the suit. I am very sympathetic to those who have TD, good luck friends

  • I'm so sorry to see this man going through such painful muscle spasms! What a horrible thing to have to go thrrough. I'm a nursing student and am learning about tardive dyskinesias. I'm learning that they can be the result of long term antipsychotic use. I was wondering if Mr. Wilson has taken antipsychotics in the past or possibly any recreational drug use?

  • This is caused from anti depressants, and anti psychotic drugs....I had the same thing....I suffered from severe pain, they told me it was all in my head and prescribed ssri's, bipolar meds, sleeping pills...etc, ..I was later diagnosed with Lyme disease....the "all in my head" drugs they prescribed did the same thing to me...the fix...Get off ALL MEDS, detox the body, avoid sugar and processed food during a 40 day fast from sugar products, while detoxing from drugs. I recovered fully. sorry

  • I have pretty bad tardive dyskinesia from them putting me on tons of psychiatric drugs. Is there any hope for recovery?

  • i cry seeing this video, i have tardive dyskinesia in both my eyes from prescribed medicine, not this worse, but i used to be almost blind, from taking geodon 20 mg

  • god damn this is sad. (the medicine I currently take and have been taking for seven years has this as a main possible side effect)

  • Im so sorry for your father, I can only imagine what he go's thru every day. It wont do any good to ask Obama for help. America does'nt need Obamas socialist health care reform. What we need is for the government to fix the programs they already run, Medicade for example... Let your dad know that there are people out here praying for him.

  • how is he not qualified for medicaid??? even convicted prisoners receive medical care...that's ridiculous..

  • Has your father ever taken, Antidepressants, Benzodiazaopines, or anti anxiety medications? I only ask because I am in pharmacology now and that is one of the main adverse reactions of those drugs, and it is irreversible

  • does smoking weed stop this temporarily?

    since weed relaxes your muscles

  • Contact Dr. Peter Breggin. He's an expert in drug induced tardive dyskinesia. You may want to look at other medication known to cause this disorder such as neuroleptics/antipsychotics and antidepressants.

They are prescribed by doctors "off label" for everything from sleep problems to muscle aches.

  • @maryellen728 I guess I didn't read this before I commented. :)

  • There is a solution for this prblem. But it takes years for some. I had it so bad I was almost dead. I did brain acupuncture for four years and now it's gone.

  • can muscle relaxers do anything for you?

  • This poor man, he is so strong and tough. I can't imagine how frustrated and helpless you would feel. I hope he can be at peace and not have such lack of control. He keeps it up and isn't suicidal, he's a real trooper.

  • Could we have an update? Is he receiving medication and are his symptoms better than in these videos now?

  • Please Please give him DMAE(by Country Life) from your local vitamin store(may have to order it). It provides Acetyl-choline as a precursor for his brain to be more able to function with his neurons. It's only $10 for 50 and you can give him up to 8 a day.

    Love Tj

  • @timvickiedaniel1 I have read that Melatonin can also improve symptoms.

  • Ashley, I am so sorry & I only wish you, your father, and family the very best.

  • oo pore guy just wants 2 go 2 sleep

  • God. These videos make me want to discontinue my meds. Honestly.

  • how did this happenbd to him?

  • although my symptoms are not as severe, i too am unable to procure employment for more than 2 years. even been turned down by mcdonalds and other fast food restaurants. at one time i was a licensed private investigator, earning 50k a year. the veteran's administration will not help me and i am thinking of traveling to a country which allows self euthanasia.

  • I feel pity for this poor man!!! i wish he could recover from his disorder!! :( Peace be with all the family!!!

  • @slother187 You obviously lack the most basic psychological capacities of a human being: a conscience, empathy and compassion. This fits very well with someone that has antisocial personality disorder or other psychotic features. Go see a psychiatrist - you probably need meds to keep yourself from committing a horrible crime.

  • god bless you

  • Sorry to see this. You could try calling the International Schizophrenia Foundation and ask them about their orthomolecular therapy (that's if he's taking antipsychotic meds still), and he can try that, and get off the antipsychotics.

  • damn it america, you take the piss outta the NHS, whats worse an hour waiting time, or people like this helpless, you have the biggest economy whats wrong with your politics!!!!

  • hello awilsonradio. My deepest sympathies. And I hope your father feeling better soon too.

Was your father schizophrenic and/or treated by typical or typical antipsychotic drugs before having TD ?

  • My Grandma has tardive dyskinesia after taking reglan. im sorry to hear about ur father i know how much of a daily struggle this disorder is. my Grandma is on medical marijuana and it helps with the TD. the movements slow down. The TD has effected her jaw tonuge and face. u should join a class action lawsuit we have. please if u have any qeustions i have done a lot of research on it so feel free to ask. if u have any pointers for me please share.

  • Won't Social Security send him to one of their doctors after signing up for disability? This is too much to live with. I thought I had a lot to deal with!!! In the name of Jesus may this man be healed completely to live his life without this haunting illness. I will be waiting for a new post of him being set free of this.....All things are possible in Christ. Amen

  • Medical marijuana is only cure

  • can we get another update?

Helathcare reform ftw. NHS is one of the best things about the UK

  • lol........

  • @elyurita shut your mouth, learn to speak english if you wanna talk shit to me. Im guessing the word youre looking for is angel. My post was like 2 months ago, get a fucking life and stop scanning youtube to make comments, do something with your life. Lets take a look at the real issue here. Seem any angel shit? what the fuck does that even mean

  • @bio18logy sloth on your mid 20´s, you wouldn´t be "shuttimg" mouths over youtube if you had the balls to say it in real life or you had the oportunity to do so. Stop driving aggressively, take your pills and use your time positively, less time-wasting faggotry, sloth.

  • @bio18logy just because you play the rightful boy, to release your adrenaline on someone you dont seem any angel shit.

  • @elyurita what the fuck wjat the fuck yeye im cool ye ye.... If you made the post in hell or 2 days ago it makes no difference, neither does my english correctness are we clear intellectual sloth? Now the point is wash your mouth when you speak, clear?
