ALL of your assumptions of "Chinese and American culture" are COMPLETELY WRONG cause you "observed" in the "Chinatown" of Grant Street that is completely devoted to tourists and IN NO WAY represents the interaction of the Chinese. If YOU had gone one block up to Stockton Street and the REAL Chinatown you would've seen how the Chinese REALLY live in Chinatown as opposed to the Chinese kowtowing to the tourist dollars.
