I've been a Linux users for several years now. I started off with Debian, and so Ubuntu was a pretty easy switch for me a few years ago. Linux is by far my favorite OS. With a little programming experience, virtually everything can be customized. Ubuntu, nevertheless, abstracts a lot of Linux away to encourage new users. It does a lot of hand holding. If you ever want to get as close to Linux as possible, try Slackware. That's hardcore Linux. PS: thanks for checking out my latest video.

@anzwertree I would probably go to Debian or a Debian based OS (i.e. Linux Mint Debian) before I'd try Slackware. Although I may give Slackware a shot one day. I enjoy your videos.

@Jordmate You are sure to like it Rich. There are many Linux distros out there. PCLinuxOS, Linux Mint, CrunchBang to name a few of my favorites.

Good vid. I came from so many OS since 1984, Mac OS and XP were the last ones i used before i went to Linux. Ubuntu is my fav Distro.
