  • Rev 20:10 the devil... was thrown into the lake of burning sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night FOR EVER AND EVER.

Heb 9:27 man is destined to die once and after that face judgement,

Rev 20:13-15 and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found in the book of life he was thrown into the lake of fire.

  • @5smallbears Also,google the following:

    everlasting torment examined steve scianni

    and

    revelation 20:10 Patrick Navas

    Challenge yourself.

  • I see it as nearly self-evident. It is a matter of Life OR Death/Destruction (Romans 6:23, John 3:16). Only Believers in Jesus obtain eternal life. When Adam sinned God told him that he would go back to the dust. He did not tell Adam that he would now suffer for eternity...This Hebraic scheme is clear from Old Testament through New Testament. A person is dead until resurrection.....

  • @DrStevenz absolutely. But most people are blind to that.God has granted you a spirit of wisdom on this subject and opened your eyes. What always amazes me though is people like you who actually understand death but don't think Jesus experienced it.At least not the PERSON of Jesus, only a discarded capsule of his.If I'm wrong, correct me.But a "body" with no Christ in it cannot "die" in any real sense of the word.

  • If Fudge thinks he has uncovered a new view in Scripture he is horribly mistaken. The annihiliationist view is almost as old

as the Church, and while it has had it adherents, it has been rejected and condemned by the early church fathers. His more careful study

is simply misinterpretations and wrong assumptions of key passages in SCRIPTURE.

  • @GarySpFc no I don't think Fudge thinks that! You should read his thorough book where he covers the history of the doctrine..who propagated it,who didn't.Where it came from and what scripture REALLY says..He is a fan of interpreting revelation passages in their OT context as everyone should be.Gehenna(hell) consumes.I have no idea why traditionalists think it doesn't.Matt 3:12
