WAYYYY better than on board.

but...Nothing spectacular its a $50 card If you want better you're going to want something in the $100's but you will not notice a huge difference unless you have expensive headphones/speakers.

I think you didn't really understand what I mean. What I said is you will not notice much of a difference between a $50 card and $100 without good expensive headphones and or speakers.

So you will want to have a nice pair of headphones like sennheisers or audio technica's to go along with a $100 card.

Yes this sound card has it's own processor so it takes the load of the cpu.

For $50 It sounds amazing! Though You can do better for $80 - $100 I was on a budget.

Yah it's not like a graphics card you just pop it in.

But first you have to go into bios disable the onboard sound.

Install the card into the PCI slot

boot into windows and install the drivers

restart PC

and it should work.
