  • My wife and I have two of these gentle giants and adore them. They are the sweetest and most loving dogs! Before we adopted our first we never really had given a thought about greys but now we are convinced we will be a greyhound family for the rest of our lives.

  • what a beautiful dog

  • Hello everyone, thanks so much for your comments. Jack is a happy dog and well loved. If you give him a spare few seconds he will steal any food from you though, and he is big enough to reach kitchen units, dinner table etc. He gets a run every day.

We are careful where we let him off the lead. He got hit by a car once, ran the whole length of a football field and more, then onto the road. Lucky boy got away with a couple of stitches only. Right now, he's chilling out on the couch....

  • aww what a lovely happy family he has found im glad you let him off so many people are told they will run away but if you let them off early enough they shouldnt do, i dont think they run off i think they are just going for a long overdue run.

  • Now THAT is a happy Greyhound. :) I bet that was one of the best days of his life :)

  • God bless you.

  • Oh my goodness, He's so skinny! But completely gorgeous. My rescue grey was like that when we got her :)

  • Good on yer for adopting a greyhound. They're the most faithful, gentle, loving pet you will ever own. I remember taking Cass, our first greyhound to the beach for the first time and how excited she was. It just makes you smile to see them running and happy. All the best to you all and to Jack, who looks as though he's landed on his feet!

  • You Should watch him around other small dogs and especialy cats they love to chace and Yes kill small fury animals but normaly they are ok with people he looks verry happy how could anybody hurt these dogs or abanden them i just posted one of our two play fighting in doors,

  • were you not frightend to let him off his lead

  • @1SoundBlaster

We didn't have a clue what would happen, if he would run away or just stand there.

We were excited as we'd had him about three weeks but not left him off the lead.

He's much faster now...it's amazing to see him run.

Although other people and dogs get a bit freaked out if he runs right towards them...

  • Don't know who looks happier - Jack or Isla!
