I would be the first to say that Louis Farrakhan and I disagree on many things and I find his notion of black vs white to be distasteful and morally repugnant. He did however make some good points. The problems we face and the issues that need to be addressed cannot be solved by one person. It will have to an effort taken on by all of us. Not in terms of us vs them. Let us not see each other in terms of ethnicity or national origin, but as what we all are human beings.

The Nation of Islam doesn't get "all that money" from around the world that you speak of. Every dime that comes in to the Nation of Islam are from charitable contributions from members of the NOI and a few sympathizers who support our cause. We just don't have some huge bankroll. We don't get any grants or breaks from the gov't unlike the Christian churches do. We are 100% independent...that's why we are so free to speak truth. The reconstruction was considered a failure because it was Lincoln's plan and it died with him. Andrew Johnson Veto on every bill that congress passed until they all voted to Impeach him

Also, many Southerners (not all of them) refused to make the necessary reformations in their society after the war. That is why they created Jim Crow to oppress blacks. Common sense dictate that we shouldn't fear the government. Yet, we shouldn't compromise to embrace some corporate privitazied system either. Let the elite laugh since in the end, they will lose. Although, the majority of the poor works. It's just that our economic recession have caused a lot more joblessness in the country (among other factors). The poor never created slums, the war on drugs, or international terrorism. The elite and certain factions of the government (infiltrated by corporate interests) formed these problems. So, there should be both individual and collective solutions to these situations. We should have both personal responsibility and public or community efforts too.

I would be the first to say that Louis Farrakhan and I disagree on many things and I find his notion of black vs white to be distasteful and morally repugnant. He did however make some good points. The problems we face and the issues that need to be addressed cannot be solved by one person. It will have to an effort taken on by all of us. Not in terms of us vs them. Let us not see each other in terms of ethnicity or national origin, but as what we all are human beings.

The Nation of Islam doesn't get "all that money" from around the world that you speak of. Every dime that comes in to the Nation of Islam are from charitable contributions from members of the NOI and a few sympathizers who support our cause. We just don't have some huge bankroll. However I do not see the fruits of its existence. there is more money going in then coming out. If you want to truly help black people then offer business grants and education grants ? isn't that a way to contribute to a solution for the problem we face.

You may not see the fruit of that particular Mosque's existence, but that doesn't mean they aren't fruitful. Contact the Mosque Minister and speak with him to find out what is really going on. We don't have some huge bank roll that we are able to give out grants to whoever needs them. That just isn't our reality

Why would they want to grant funds to anyone who isn't supportive of their Mosque, their assignents for the future, or their struggles in the past? What are the fruits of your contributions to your community? Being Muslim doesn't have to mean being a follower of Farrakhan, or being N.O.I. The Quran is a book that contains scientific facts, as well as spiritual insight to humanity.

No I would not like to send my child to your schools, in exchange for money. First I believe education should be free. You talk about people getting the right education specifically black people, but you are charging people for those services ? I think that is ridiculous ! The NOI is 100% independent. We don't get government grants and help. Since we are independent, we have to charge for tuition. One day that won't be the case but as of right now, it's a reality. Mortgages, rent, salaries, food, and supplies have to be paid for. Money has to come from somewhere therefore we have to charge for tuition. Quit commenting, you sound ridiculous.

The NOI teaches Islam and the followers are Muslims. Islam means submission & peace and the NOI has minimal to no record of violence in it's history. Muslim means to submit to the will of God and the NOI members submit; all members take the Shahada; The NOI religious book is the Qu'ran; they adhere to the 5 principles of Islam (Belief in one God/Allah, Salat, fasting, zakat and Hajj to mecca). To confirm attend Jummah, Mosque Mariam. The NOI is still the NOI and under Farrakhan's guidance.

The reconstruction act was being made in congress in 1864 while the war was still raging on! The war didn't end till 1865 at Palmito Ranch on May 12-13, 1865. At the end 500,000+ and freed men(blacks) Dead after only 5 years of war.
The reconstruction was considered a failure because it was Lincoln's plan and it died with him. Andrew Johnson Veto on every bill that congress passed until they all voted to Impeach him

The KKK began in 1866, but they existed. The recourse were laws passed intrying to stop them. Reconstruction failed, because the bigot Andrew Johnson didn't want to endorse passed bill. Also, many Southerners (not all of them) refused to make the necessary reformations in their society after the war. That is why they created Jim Crow to oppress blacks. Johnson vetoed laws and people know this. Johnson was a piece of work.

Common sense dictate that we shouldn't fear the government. Yet, we shouldn't compromise to embrace some corporate privitazied system either. Let the elite laugh since in the end, they will lose. Real men know the blood of real patriots. Yet, that blood wasn't shed for us to worship the individual. It was shed for us to improve upon the individual and the community, so a better country can rise up. Some of those agencies you mention are corrupt and I don't support them at all.

@TruthSeeker24 Also the Bill of rights was created after the constitution because the founders wanted to list "12 amendments" that were to be in the bill. in 1784 was originally the 11th & 12th amendments were not ratified in 1784. 11th passed In 1992 became the 27th amendment. just a tidbit that I find interesting. Ok so the 10 amendments were ratified and were put in place so our government would understand that we Have rights so in case if they forget!

Although, the majority of the poor works. It's just that our economic recession have caused a lot more joblessness in the country (among other factors). The poor never created slums, the war on drugs, or international terrorism. The elite and certain factions of the government (infiltrated by corporate interests) formed these problems. So, there should be both individual and collective solutions to these situations. We should have both personal responsibility and public or community efforts too.

Many Europeans kidnapped black slaves by themselves in many instances. So, you shouldn't try to sugarcoat the slave trade. Europeans invented the transaltantic slave trade. That is a historical fact. No one said that Democrats are perfect. Yet, the Republicans don't support anything, but austerity, war mongering, and fear based rhetoric.
