Is it possible that all that knowledge we don't possess (as Richard Dawkins likes to put it), was put there by a teapot floating around up there? Yeap, it's possible because we do not know or have the means of knowing. Does that mean I believe it? HAH nope. And do I even have to explain why? lol It's actually funny because when I use that analogy to explain my point of view to a christian the second I say "teapot" they start to laugh... but "god" is so realistic -.- ugh its just so childish.
Is that a circle? Regardless, your arguments are flawed. First, just because we can't disprove god exist, doesn't mean god must exist. Your second argument is someone must have placed that knowledge into the universe because no one person has all of that knowledge. Again your argument is flawed. Let's pretend the big bang theory is 100% true. No one person had absolute knowledge about the universe, yet it was still created. Explain that.
This is only true for Gnostic Atheists whose position is just as ridiculous as Gnostic Theists. Most Atheists, however, are Agnostic Atheists; we can not prove theistic claims to be untrue as it is impossible to prove a negative but we do not accept the positive claim that God exists because there is insufficient evidence to justify it. Agnostic Atheism does not require absolute knowledge. The fact that something *can* exist does not imply that it *does* exist.
Arguments like these prove no point. Atheists dont say there is no god. They basically say all theistic claims are false. We have no idea how the world came to be BILLIONS of years ago. We have only been on this earth for a EXTREAMLY small amount of time. I'm not saying there is no god but i know ur religions are just made up fairy tales since there is evidence in evolution, etc. and like everyone says who made god? if as u say "Everything has to come from something"
You were using logic and reason until you made the leap from (paraphrasing) "There's an infinite wealth of knowledge one human alone can posses" to "Someone must have put it there." I'd also like you to illustrate how much of that knowledge you know, and since you obviously don't know it all, could in the 'unknown' area be the knowledge that religion is bullshit and there is no God? Of course there could, and I'm glad you drew a (shitty) circle, because that's what your 'logic' is, circular.
If god created all that knowledge in the universe did some super god create all the knowledge god had to create said universe in the first place. Do we need to draw another circle now?
Can you answer why your god said he's a jealous god? If hes the almighty creator who is he jealous of, other gods? religion= a way to control the masses thru hope and fear.
"Belief in atheism" does not mean anything. I can't come up with an analogy for how void your point is. Atheism is not a religion. It's not hating the god you think exist, it's not worshiping your devil, it's not having anal sex with your devil, it's not eating babies or trying to turn everyone gay. It's just a complete lack of religion. Period. Nothing more. You can't believe in atheism, because atheism is a lack of belief. So please inform yourself before doing nonsensical videos like this.
I admit that possibly there could be a god, we know there are things we don't know. But just because a God COULD exist, it is ridiculous to believe that there is for sure a God. Perhaps you're praying to the wrong God. Perhaps Zeus and Apollo are the real Gods.
You do not need all the knowledge in the universe to proclaim that 2+2=4. Just like you do not need all the knowledge in the universe to know that there is no such thing as God.
That's not a circle. And all you did was waste time demonstrating what an atheist would immediately acknowledge. Then you made a baseless assumption that attempted to shift the burden of proof. Sure it's a bold claim to say that there is no god. But it's an even bolder to claim, not only that a god exists, but also to claim the existence of a specific god.
Haha. Your videos are brilliant. You are so mentally undeveloped it's astonishing. You are so patronising, talking to the world like you would talk to a child while really believing that you have stumbled across something that every 10 year old child hasn't thought of already. Prove to me that there isn't a giant penis which floats randomly around the galaxy. By your deduction it must exist because you can't prove that it doesn't. Do some study before you start preaching to the world.
This is just a variation of the "god of the gaps." Saying that some kind of intelligent creator must exist somewhere in the great void of our knowledge about the universe is no better than saying that unicorns must exist somewhere in the universe because we don't know everything about the universe.
Chaos theory states that the future is not pre-determined. The knowledge of the future does not exist. Therefore not all of the knowledge in the universe exists.
Your argument is flawed from the start.
You also argue that the knowledge must be placed in the universe, as if knowledge was tangible. Conscious thought constantly creates knowledge, it's not placed in the universe.
wat is atheism comparing with religion. thats is like comparing baldness with haircoler :P and for the video ask the same way to an riligius person and then say in the rest of the info of the univers may lie the info that there is no god and you cant prove it so you riligius persons are worse then athiest you already draw a conclusion wat should be the rest while athiest still are asking wats inside the res and not making conclusions that are final
because the logical conclusion is that a sky man, being, creature put all the knowledge there. It would be totally illogical for us to assume that the knowledge was there in the first place waiting to be discovered.
humans have collective learning. so yeah no human could ever poses all that knowledge but we as a whole understand the vast majority of knowledge in your circle. what we do know points in the direction of what we dont know so its safe to say the knowledge doesn't contain god
...you're just describing agnosticism. "I don't know if a God exists or not." Many athiests can get behind that concept. But just because you can speculate that "hmm there may be A god out there" doesn't mean that God is your god, the god of any human religion or any human concept of God. And that doesn't mean we should be worshipping it, either. That's the problem I have with theists.
Your logic is flawed because you do not need to be greater than something to put said thing somewhere, and analogies are not valid to be taken literally. I could just as easily say the dot is a Christian's knowledge, and that somewhere in that circle could be the knowledge that god is nonexistent.
That's like saying 'you don't know everything therefore I am right.' I would wager that you understand just as much if not less than I do, because Atheists do not know the answers so we seek them, whilst many theists think they know the answers so they do not think they need to learn any more. I really hope at some point you can accept that no one can ever know everything, and we should leave each other to believe what we like.
The video maker failed set theory at school. *lol* What am I saying, they probably didn't even attend! But I can't explain why, because they don't understand the maths I use when making that statement :D
Using your analogy in which scientist know as much as that dot relates to that 'circle', creationists get around a single molecule. some incoherent, edited, misinterpret and outdated letters versus scientific books and articles as a foundation of knowlegde.
This tickled me more than it probably should have.
"We know that the knowledge was put there"
We... we do? Um, I must have missed that memo. When did we find that out? And given this how come we aren't all theists, since the universe being "put" anywhere would presuppo- oh, I see what you did there, with your leading weasel words.
This proves nothing. First, my "dot" of knowledge would be much bigger and when asked if in that other knowledge there could be a god, I'd still say no. And just for your information Sir, everyone, including you, was born an atheist. Then, when all you believer were older, was when someone told you about Jeboos (the first zombie ever) and god. If no one had told you anything about those two, you wouldn't believe. There, logic and reason just proved that atheism does exist.
Most of the atheists I know would color in the whole circle to represent how much knowledge they have. They'd hardly admit to not knowing something. How could they do that and then corner us with their logical thinking?
@missjaneamerica I'd say believers would color the whole circle. Most of them are convinced god exists and want to show us atheists that we're "wrong" like the man in the video (ooops). Atheists don't believe & don't go trying to convince people not to believe, unlike believers, who come to our houses and schools to "share" their beliefs because they're "right". We admit not knowing a lot of things, but religions won't do the same because there's a "god" related answer to everything.
This video is packed with flawed thinking. First, atheism does not make any claims about the existence of God, atheism is the lack of belief. Second, I cannot agree that a God can exist until you describe the properties of this God. In other words, there are some specific notions of God that I can identify as logically inconsistent. Third, a logical fallacy called "begging the question". You have assumed that the universe "has" knowledge and that "someone or something" had to put it there.
this just proves that no believe is credible;), but thats the thing with believes, they are just feeling not based on knowledge... otherwise it would be guess or prediction, maybe even theory, but believe cant be based on knowledge
has to be? God put it there? Do you have any education in a formal sense? You're the one claiming there's a god, you prove it exists. We couldn't care less about your delusions but you want us to believe what you do. We won't, we're intelligent.
@2wilburc Why is it that they get mad when we say we're intelligent? Could it be because it's... the truth?! And they can't handle the truth! That's why they believe in that crap!
So you carefully create a test that is impossible to pass, then feel your point is proven when nobody can pass it. You forced the outcome of your experiment, which means that it is not an experiment, but a cute trick. Stop asking atheists to prove that there is no god, we don't care. We don't want to prove anything. Leave us be with our contentment. And thank you for looking stupid on YouTube.
Ah yes, the God of the gaps...at this point God has been abstracted to some entity that existed outside of and before the 'big bang'. The complete universe, as we've calculated it, to the observable universe (that which we've seen) is like the observable universe is to something the size of an atom...and this same entity is concerned with working on Sunday, homosexuals, masturbation, abortion, and a 2000 year old book written in the bronze age by desert tribes?
His logic makes a huge jump when he says someone had to put all the knowledge in the circle. I was with him up to that point, almost. What he does point out is that you need a miniscule amount of the total knowledge to assume a god exists, but you must have a majority amount of the total knowledge to prove god doesn't exist. It's a fruitless demonstration.
.... wow u made the biggest logical leap ever, there is x amount of knowledge, therefore the knowledge had to have been PUT there.... and the thing that put it there must have knowledge greater than x... also religion is like saying you know all the knowledge of the universe, knowing the thing that put it there, than with the dot of knowledge the atheist has, he or she can disprove the knowledge you "understand" which debunks your entire argument
and you cannot say that your (im assuming christian) god does exist. i dont think christians realize that everything they ask atheists can be turned around right on them...
I appologise to anyone i offend but knowledge is infinate e.g. you cook something and take knowledge that you cooked it. So the circle doesnt exist because there is no bounderies meaning god did not create it. This obviously does not disprove the theory of god but it totaly fucks up this video
@SleepAllDay100 You are retarded. You can't write a single complete or correct sentence, therefore your opinion and comment are invalid. Thank you for your time.
Also do you not think that atheists have a reason to understand life without a God whereas you've nothing to udnerstand but bullshit. your dot in the middle is smaller
so god IS knowledge? if you reduce god to knowlede then he has no onipotence, omnipresence and stuff, so after that deffinition god has no charakteristics of an higher entity means: he is no god just data. and atheism is not a religion, like notcollecting stamps is not a hobby. AND no, we are not sure that there is no good, but we are very sure. if u have REAL evidence, not such logic FAIL we will agree on the existence of god.BAM!
if you want to like this comment, copy/paste it and post again.
Besides if God has all the knowledge in the world he should understand how nature works, and know that he really effed up making the Platypus. That damn thing still confuses people to this day.
Damn good circle. Yes, yes it is. How about you mark in the circle what you believe you know, and what about if we asked you if the knowledge that God does not exist could be in that circle, by what you're telling us, you'd have to say yes to that too. You're creating a double edged sword here. That's some nice absolute knowledge you have there. I love how all these disproval claims are always two way streets.
Typical god of the gaps. Now, it's possible that god might exist in the unknown area, but it's just as possible that god does NOT exist in the unknown area.
You can also make the claim that Zeus, fairies, and leprechauns exist in the unknown area, can't you?
As for your claim that there must have been somebody or something that put the knowledge together, you haven't proven that existence needs a creator.
Are you a liar, or do you just don't realize how stupid you are?
ahaha , this is so dumb. Just because science does not have all the knowledge, he thinks means god must exist? talk about a huge jump in non logic. This is the old god of gaps that the religious use. If a question cannot be answered he jumps to it must be god! Totally fail in logical thinking. We do know in this universe there is no such thing as magic and god= magic,an invisible magical being that cannot be seen, felt measured or tested
knoweledge is infinite. There are an infinite amount of numbers that are formed though logics because a multiple amount of any things creates a dimension which is infinte. All the things combined create new things that can be measured and known by humans. Its not a string of facts that you christians hand over to god to know. It's not about knowing everything to be able to disprove god because if you discover the core of everything you can conclude an infinite amount of knowelege from that.
Why is the only solution that it has to be god that "put" knowledge here? Knowledge is abstract you dont just create knowledge... So lets say something actually did make everything, out of an infinity of posibilities, why is it automatically the christian god? Think about it rationally... Theres a 1 in infinity chance of it actually being YOUR god... Not to mention the other possibility of it NOT being something someone created... You seem clueless and blind to be honest
No human could ever grasp the vast knowledge of our father in heaven. If they could imagine how powerful or arrogant that human would be!!! That human would have infinite wisdom. Therefore he would be God! No scientist or anyone else here on this earth will ever have this knowledge. Great points 333dvd2
The title of your video clearly suggests that you are disproving the existence of athiests, and all you did was question the validity of atheism. Not once was my physical presence questioned, nor the sovereignty of my realness attacked. Where's the clever rebuttal to 'I think, therefore I am'? Where is the proof that I am the work of evil demons, deceivers, or both?
why does "someone" have to "place" something anywhere??? i don't understand that argument ever? "well how did it get there?" it's just there man! seriously why cant just the simple physics of the universe just exist? why not? can anyone anywhere answer me that question? that makes infinitely more sense to me
The flip side of the argument is that you also obtain more or less the equivalent amount of knowledge within the same circle (probably less,) now within your knowledge as compared to all the knowledge within the circle, can there be something inside the circle disproving god? absolutely.
you can prove god doesn't exist with the knowledge we have today because we have already established laws and postulates to disprove the theory of their being something that could influence mass with out actually have mass. owned.
so then its easy to say the smaller your knowledge(the dot) the greater likelyhood there is a god? good to know christians(or any other faiths) have so little knowledge........
That was a pretty poor argument. All you did was present a very simple argument of skepticism, and jumped to a conclusion that god exists based on a few unsupported premises. For example some one or something must have "created all the knowledge in the universe", if you are going to attempt a logical argument for gods existence (and there are many good ones already i.e. the ontological argument of Anselm) try to support your premises, otherwise you are only making an assertion.
wait so i dont exist? O_O and a atheist wouldnt do that... also you evidence is bullshit... (hey i wont bother you... unless you bother me) <-- YOU ARE DOING THIS RIGHT NOW....
I'm making a bold claim God does not exist. Mostly cause the theorems extracted from neuropsychology on the spontaneous origin of god in the mind pretty much kills the theistic god concept. :D
This still doesnt disprove any scientific theories or prove religoen. There also isnt a point somewhere in the cosmos were all the knowledge rests, The creation of life and knowledge go hand in hand with each other. Knowledge was not given to any life forms life forms evolved the power of reasoning and slowly we evolved a large brain compasity through a series of small mutations. And though a higher being is possible i would assume statistics are in the favor of athiestic beliefs.
If one was took take all of the atheists out of the country, then we would lose 93% of the National Academy of Science. Also, the prison system would be devastated because it would lose a whopping 1% of their prisoners.
@ufrisbee66 What do you smoke? I would really like to have some. What makes you think that 93% of any group is atheists? I mean you must have some prof. I want you to show me this prof. Or are you one of those people who believe that Religion only causes death? Because Hitler was an Atheists and look at what he did.
I'd ask you to mark on that circle your respective knowledge of the universe (after I pass you an incredibly sharp pencil) then have you explain why your even more limited knowledge makes you so certain of these things.
Also, Id ask if we could both agree that outside our area of knowledge there could exist an Omnipotent Salad dressing who created the universe to keep his bitch ex-wife happy (Who you call god in this hypothetical)
Your the king of invalidating your own arguments. Like a boss!
A normal atheist would say, "There could be something we don't understand that began the universe, but as I don't know, how could YOU possibly know that it is your God." Checkmate. The idea of God is an invention of man, not something that came from the rest of that circle. Completely invalid argument.
Atheists don't make bold claims that god doesn't exist. They are sometimes emphatic about how the complete lack of evidence reasonably allows one to express disbelief in such a being. What's inside that dot the atheist might claim mankind knows is the humble position that we know enough about the universe to know how little we know. Now the arrogant claim: "Because all the knowledge of the universe exists, someone had to put it there." And the atheist STOPS YOU RIGHT THERE...
You can make such an unsupportable claim and say you're using logic and reason. The first does not necessarily require the second. Is this some canned intelligent design concept I should just accept on faith? And could you know this someone must necessarily be the god who knows you personally?
Somebody made knowledge? How can knowledge be made when its constantly changing, infinite and shared between 7 billion minds.. I ask your question to you, Is it possible that no-one created up and that we just derived from single celled organisms that had to adapt to the ever changing climates therefore got bigger stronger, smarter (in some cases, e.g you)
Of course there's a chance that god exists. We recognize that, you don't need some half-assed oblong circle to ask that. But being an atheist we don't have faith in that chance, we don't put forth belief in it. We dismiss it just as we'd dismiss the existence of Puff the magic Dragon. And to use your arguement against, you don't have absolute knowlegde, you can't say with absolute certainty that mermaids, flying pigs, unicorns, or that god himself does or does not exist.
If there is a god, our creator, then he is not "holy" or supernatural. Also, it might probably not be only one individual. It makes more sense to me, that our creators are advance organisms that created us for the purpose of observation. They keep a constant eye on us, but prefer not to intervene directly, because they have learned that we are a very self-destructive race.
I am obviously speaking about "aliens." Who's presence here on earth has been recorded, since man first learned how to.
thats not a circle its an oblong spheroid and everything within it is provided by the knowledge of the science and communication of ....thinking people not an imaginary friend!
all the knowledge we do have has no evidence of a god. how do you know the universe has;nt always existed just because our time is finite doesn't mean that the universe is finite maybe some things do go on forever and always have? and by that I mean real things not heaven
I forgot my main point. Basically if theists were honest with themselves, they would have to admit that there is a posibility that god doesnt exist in the circle, even if to them the possibility is tiny. This doesnt automatically prove theism doesnt exist. Your logic is extremely flawed but that seems to be the norm for pro-theist arguements. I cant hate though. If I didnt have facts or evidence or real logic to use and I still didnt want to admit that I was wrong I would do the same thing
Great logic I don't have all the answers, I don't understand science so their must be a God. Always amazed by the ignorance and stupidity of religious people.
I could make that same arguement for theists. Theists dont know know everything in the circle either. For all they know god may not be in that circle. It's just as likely as him being there. They just hope he is and choose to believe based on that hope. The fact that so much of that knowledge is unknown doesnt prove or disprove anything. Most thiests would have a hard time acknowledging that there is a possibility god isnt in the circle because it would go against their belief based on hope.
athiests believe that there is no god but that does not make them stupid enough to say that the possibility of god is not there they we just believe that saying that there is no god is more plausible then saying that there is a god in this way we ally ourselves with science because science says that there is no facts and when you have no evidence for something you do not say that it is true
I don't even know what's in storage in my closet space, knowledge doesn't prove or disprove existence. Atheists, myself included, exist whether you like it or not. You see, your argument is weak. The majority of atheists have argued against God far more successfully than you ever will. Most came to the conclusions themselves. Most came to this conclusion facing the fact that they would lose most of everything they loved. Convincing an atheist generally takes proof, not conjecture.
@Vehementi Unlike you, I'm not going to make any assumptions about anything in that circle outaside of that little dot that represents what we KNOW through empirical, and observed evidence.
With accepting the possibility of the absurd, you are claiming something can. Because something can exist does not mean it does or should. Just because it's not been proven impossible for a tumor to spontaneously appear in your right ear within a few seconds doesn't mean it will or even has any chance to.
You do not use logic nor reason, but either deny or misunderstand their definitions. Displaying this ignorance proves you are irrational and your uneducated opinion not worth considering.
Christians can never make a bold claim that god does exist because they do not possess all of the knowledge in the universe either. And let me ask you this. Why are there so many videos about atheists and how it's impossible and so few saying religion does not exist? But i must hand it to you and say that i respect you for unlike many others you were calm, reasonable, and did not just randomly insult atheists and ask a question that is so easily answered.
it's funny that religious people like to try to use "logic and reason" to prove us atheists wrong, when we all know they have no logic and/or reason, due to being religious.
@jamesandsab in a very vague sense of the word, yes. Which is why i prefer to call myself non-religious, rather than assign a title of "atheist" to myself, because not believing in a higher power is not something i chose, its just for me the most logical conclusion, it wasn't like i decided to be atheist and chose that pursuit. Because believing in a god doesn't necessarily make you Christian, you could be Baptist, Hindu, or any religion, you have to choose which one. Whereas i just get labeled.
You are just another dot in the circle then. So what gives you the right to doubt anyone elses god, let alone that one doesn't exist? wait wait you LOST it at 1:56 there is no reason to believe it was "put there" by anything. energy cannot be created or destroyed (only changed and condensed) so it always existed. Ok watching the rest, everything you said after 1:56 is wrong.
Your proof of "atheists not existing" is a ridiculous, deliberate rape of logic.
That said, you have no understanding of atheism bar what you've seen on YouTube comments. Congrats, you've successfully shown you've yet to pick up a nonfiction book. The vast majority of atheists are agnostic atheists. They believe God doesn't exist and have their reasons but don't claim to have proof- claiming proof where there is none is the noble work of theists.
Ok, this is an age-old logical fallacy. "I don't know, therefore god" won't hold up against ANY reasonably intelligent atheist, who will then promptly call you on it. Just because we don't know the answer doesn't immediately make your answer right. You're just giving the "God is in the gaps" argument a new candy coating and attempting to get people to eat it. Well, the argument is crap, and I for one, don't eat crap, no matter how much you try to disguise the taste.
Dude your a fucking retard your just playing word games im a atheist and im not gonna fight with you stop trying to prove us wrong you believe whatever you want!
OK, so if it was put there, than who put God there? Does God have a God he worships too? And does God's God have a God? It's an endless line of gods. In other words, you have just discredited your own monotheistic religion. "Using Logic & Reason" my ass...
Wtf? Using that "logic" you can disprove any point that anyone makes. "Unicorns arn't real you say? Well, lets say this circle is all the knowledge..."
As for the second point, the concept of knowledge isn't an object that is "put there", it is defined by humans. Thats like saying "mathematics must have been put there by someone"
I see more christians trying to prove atheists wrong these days, when honestly I dont give a fuck what they believe in. Everyone has their own beliefs why hate on us because we believe different?
@jamesandsab You could, but what's the point? They struggle to understand simple logic, so debating knowledge and proof with them is going to be (and has proved to be, on countless occasions) a very long, frustrating, fruitless chore.
Is it possible that all that knowledge we don't possess (as Richard Dawkins likes to put it), was put there by a teapot floating around up there? Yeap, it's possible because we do not know or have the means of knowing. Does that mean I believe it? HAH nope. And do I even have to explain why? lol It's actually funny because when I use that analogy to explain my point of view to a christian the second I say "teapot" they start to laugh... but "god" is so realistic -.- ugh its just so childish.
epsilonnaught1 1 minute ago
One problem... They mark a tiny dot because you ask for "All the knowledge that exists in the universe".
That implies all current theories, tests, and discoveries made in human history... None of which is actual proof that there is a deity.
So no, there is no possibility that the knowledge I do not possess that god exists.
Bodudus 12 minutes ago
Oh check out the Wikipedia article "Argument of Ignorance". It describes, in detail, why your first argument is flawed.
mattknow 1 hour ago
Is that a circle? Regardless, your arguments are flawed. First, just because we can't disprove god exist, doesn't mean god must exist. Your second argument is someone must have placed that knowledge into the universe because no one person has all of that knowledge. Again your argument is flawed. Let's pretend the big bang theory is 100% true. No one person had absolute knowledge about the universe, yet it was still created. Explain that.

That's a possibility too..

TheAndiePerson 11 hours ago
You do not need all the knowledge in the universe to proclaim that 2+2=4. Just like you do not need all the knowledge in the universe to know that there is no such thing as God.
jackhwo1 12 hours ago
That's not a circle. And all you did was waste time demonstrating what an atheist would immediately acknowledge. Then you made a baseless assumption that attempted to shift the burden of proof. Sure it's a bold claim to say that there is no god. But it's an even bolder to claim, not only that a god exists, but also to claim the existence of a specific god.
soxfan849 12 hours ago
GJOrange 12 hours ago
This is just a variation of the "god of the gaps." Saying that some kind of intelligent creator must exist somewhere in the great void of our knowledge about the universe is no better than saying that unicorns must exist somewhere in the universe because we don't know everything about the universe.
muterabbit 13 hours ago
Chaos theory states that the future is not pre-determined. The knowledge of the future does not exist. Therefore not all of the knowledge in the universe exists.
Your argument is flawed from the start.
You also argue that the knowledge must be placed in the universe, as if knowledge was tangible. Conscious thought constantly creates knowledge, it's not placed in the universe.

...you're just describing agnosticism.

We... we do? Um, I must have missed that memo. When did we find that out? And given this how come we aren't all theists, since the universe being "put" anywhere would presuppo- oh, I see what you did there, with your leading weasel words.
paulbottomley42 1 day ago
This proves nothing. First, my "dot" of knowledge would be much bigger and when asked if in that other knowledge there could be a god, I'd still say no. And just for your information Sir, everyone, including you, was born an atheist. Then, when all you believer were older, was when someone told you about Jeboos (the first zombie ever) and god. If no one had told you anything about those two, you wouldn't believe. There, logic and reason just proved that atheism does exist.
SoyLaJefa 1 day ago
Most of the atheists I know would color in the whole circle to represent how much knowledge they have. They'd hardly admit to not knowing something. How could they do that and then corner us with their logical thinking?
missjaneamerica 1 day ago
@missjaneamerica I'd say believers would color the whole circle. Most of them are convinced god exists and want to show us atheists that we're "wrong" like the man in the video (ooops). Atheists don't believe & don't go trying to convince people not to believe, unlike believers, who come to our houses and schools to "share" their beliefs because they're "right". We admit not knowing a lot of things, but religions won't do the same because there's a "god" related answer to everything.
SoyLaJefa 1 day ago
This video is packed with flawed thinking. First, atheism does not make any claims about the existence of God, atheism is the lack of belief. Second, I cannot agree that a God can exist until you describe the properties of this God. In other words, there are some specific notions of God that I can identify as logically inconsistent. Third, a logical fallacy called "begging the question". You have assumed that the universe "has" knowledge and that "someone or something" had to put it there.

His logic makes a huge jump when he says someone had to put all the knowledge in the circle. I was with him up to that point, almost. That was a pretty poor argument. All you did was present a very simple argument of skepticism, and jumped to a conclusion that god exists based on a few unsupported premises. I could make that same arguement for theists. Theists dont know know everything in the circle either. For all they know god may not be in that circle. It's just as likely as him being there. They just hope he is and choose to believe based on that hope. The fact that so much of that knowledge is unknown doesnt prove or disprove anything. Most thiests would have a hard time acknowledging that there is a possibility god isnt in the circle because it would go against their belief based on hope.

athiests believe that there is no god but that does not make them stupid enough to say that the possibility of god is not there they we just believe that saying that there is no god is more plausible then saying that there is a god in this way we ally ourselves with science because science says that there is no facts and when you have no evidence for something you do not say that it is true
shayhi123evil123 5 days ago
I don't even know what's in storage in my closet space, knowledge doesn't prove or disprove existence. Atheists, myself included, exist whether you like it or not. You see, your argument is weak. The majority of atheists have argued against God far more successfully than you ever will. Most came to the conclusions themselves. Most came to this conclusion facing the fact that they would lose most of everything they loved. Convincing an atheist generally takes proof, not conjecture.

It's also possible that the knowledge of Bertrand Russel's Teapot is in that vast, unknown area.

With accepting the possibility of the absurd, you are claiming something can. Because something can exist does not mean it does or should. Just because it's not been proven impossible for a tumor to spontaneously appear in your right ear within a few seconds doesn't mean it will or even has any chance to.

Christians hide the dislike bar and say "hey look at the views"
jmassthekilla 5 days ago
You are just another dot in the circle then. So what gives you the right to doubt anyone elses god, let alone that one doesn't exist? wait wait you LOST it at 1:56 there is no reason to believe it was "put there" by anything. energy cannot be created or destroyed (only changed and condensed) so it always existed. Ok watching the rest, everything you said after 1:56 is wrong.

so if atheists dont exist.. Does this mean I'm really not here? Am I a figment of all of my friends and family's imagination? >x)
AmorePasta 5 days ago
Your proof of "atheists not existing" is a ridiculous, deliberate rape of logic.
That said, you have no understanding of atheism bar what you've seen on YouTube comments. Congrats, you've successfully shown you've yet to pick up a nonfiction book. The vast majority of atheists are agnostic atheists. They believe God doesn't exist and have their reasons but don't claim to have proof- claiming proof where there is none is the noble work of theists.
All this video proves is intentional ignorance.

Dude your a fucking retard your just playing word games im a atheist and im not gonna fight with you stop trying to prove us wrong you believe whatever you want!
jmassthekilla 5 days ago
OK, so if it was put there, than who put God there? Does God have a God he worships too? And does God's God have a God? It's an endless line of gods. In other words, you have just discredited your own monotheistic religion. "Using Logic & Reason" my ass...

It's extremely pathetic that the only argument you have is "You can't disprove it."
KoachKrab127 5 days ago

UnrealKillaX 5 days ago
You call that a circle?
LOLKATS69 5 days ago
FUCKING DUMB! not even going to waste my time rebutting this
rlt34 5 days ago
couldn't you apply this same test to a christian?
jamesandsab 5 days ago
@jamesandsab You could, but what's the point? They struggle to understand simple logic, so debating knowledge and proof with them is going to be (and has proved to be, on countless occasions) a very long, frustrating, fruitless chore.
