  • at 0:35 that stryker with the plow on the front, i've never seen that setup. is the purpose just to push debris off the road, like it did? cant imagine it would trigger any mines/IEDs that were under the surface.

  • This shit cost almost as much as a Abrams mbt damn not worth that amount of money......

  • i like how htey always send out the woman to speak to are soldiers

  • @brucekirk89 Well, I'm in the 11th month of my deployment, and I'd much rather talk to a chick, I've had enough of dudes lol

  • @rizzah42 im sure lol

  • LOVE IT

  • 6:34 is FALSE, a basic M2 Bradley costs below 1 million $. This things are fast and have great electronics, but are too expensive!

  • @GabrielKnight636

not quite, Average unit cost (TY$) $3.166M -fas.org

  • @GabrielKnight636 I dont know tank looking vehicles well Can you tell me what's better Stryker or Bradley ?

  • @Kreyzy195

Bradley all the way in my opinion. I don't like rubber wheels at all for a combat vehicle, despite the thougness of them. Plus the Stryker is bigger.

  • @GabrielKnight636 The only armored transport I know well is "Rosomak" making by my country Poland

  • Yet a bullet to the wheeles will risk it from getting raped

  • Yet a few frag grenades with f it up lol...

  • @ 00:12

    falcon kick!

  • r these infantry squads some sort of special forces teams or r they regular ol' infantry??

  • @mishgun420 Regular infantry, cavalry units have been equipped with strykers. Not all though, theres a wide variety of vehicles used and different units are equipped with different vehicles. So some infantry guys are over there in humvees, some in strykers, some in bradleys ect. ect.

  • $4 mil Im savin up lol

  • that narator said that they can manouver almost silently... oh com on i have seen them in india..when they came in india for yodh abhyas 2009..they made such a noise...yeah no doubht about it that its very hi-tec..but not stealyth...

  • would not want to be in anny other vehicle ? .... where is my M1A2 abrams tank .. XD

  • i hate not having cable or satellite

  • Stryker still need improvement like withstand IED and land mines. Stryker fail in Afghanistan. Stryker need to redesign on the bottom to a V shape so it will help the stryker to push the blast away.

  • Hey, armored fighting vehicle = afv

    americas funniest videos = afv

  • И такой здоровенный сарай вооружен всего лишь Browning M2HB. Гранатомет хотя бы прикрутили автоматический.

  • PVT SPENCER REEVES has his orders. STRYKER training, WA. after basic training.

  • They say a Stryker can take a direct hit, but isit just me but at O:45 the Stryker split like in two?

  • @tebbs94 Nope. It was lifted up

  • @tebbs94 no it was da sand & dust, givin an vision of da stryker 6ein split .. 6ut i thought so 2 at 1st look

  • RPGs cant do shit to that mammoth if it can survive a direct hit

  • @TheBlade5079 ya but my question is how many hits can it take or is it one per customer?

  • @TheBlade5079

Let me start by saying I'm deployed in a Stryker unit in Afghanistan right now. While the Stryker looks impressive, it's really not all it's cracked up to be, especially when it comes to armorment. A direct hit from a functioning RPG 7 round would penetrate the Stryker and kill or maim everyone inside. That's why you see the Strykers with the slat armor or "birdcage" around them, it's designed to catch the round to detonate it outside the Stryker.

  • @rizzah42

How do you go about crewing these? Is there a specific MOS?

  • @CaptainAmerica322

Negative. The most common MOS for being in a Stryker Platoon are 11B (Infantry), and 19D (Cavalry Scout). You can also be on them if you're an 11C (Mortars), 13F (FSTer), 19K (Tanker, to be on MGS) and some kind of Engineer, as well as a few other MOS'. But the main mission Platoons will be Infantrymen and Scouts.

  • @rizzah42

Shame that slot armour doesn't work 50% of the time and that the insurgents, knowing this, fire RPGs in salvos.

You wanna know what they're not telling you about the Styker? Well, I bet you already do.

But if you wanna double check you aint missing out on anything, search the real stryker on youtube, youll see a video by a guy called "blacktaildefense".

Click, find the first part, watch the lot.

If anybody outside the SBCT watches his vid, prepare to be very angry when you learn truth

  • @rizzah42 I always thought it was made for urban, LIGHT, use, not much in war...

it doesn't look that resistent anyway

  • @Necroman666 That is correct. In my personal opinion, the Stryker is unbeatable as a modular urban occupation platform (minus the birdcage, makes the vehicle too wide) but cannot fight a traditional war. I believe it is fatally short-sighted of the Army to move away from heavy armor in favor of Strykers, and that's they've been doing, there's hardly any more heavy brigades left in the Army and absolutely NO ACR's, which is ridiculous. SCR's are no replacements, just SBCT's with stetsons.

  • @rizzah42 Right.... I mean, then what's the point on replacing the heavy units on those? What the hell they want? Would that be to save money, or to make it so that more vehicles are wrecked so companies sell more of them? I have no idea maybe you do.

  • @Necroman666 The latter. They are buying them for their "friends" in the armament industry.

  • @rizzah42 there isn't all that much that will stop an rpg-7 anyway.

  • @njdevil281

One Polish XA-360 (they call them KTO Rosomak) was hit by three RGP-7 grenades in Afghanistan.

The Vehicle survived, fired back and returned to base without help.

The vehicle has also been hit by mines and IED's. Not a single vehicle has been destroyed so far (officially that is atleast).

  • @BlizBob There are also far less Polish Vehicles in Afghanistan in harms way. Strykers have also been hit by RPG's without taking fatal damage. The chances of American vehicles coming under attack are far greater.

  • @njdevil281

Sure American vehicles get shot at more. Point is that the vehicle in question could sustain 3 hits in a row.

    Not bad.

This vehicle might be the replacement for the LAV that USMC uses. So in future they probaply will get shot at more... ofcourse the armor will be lighter than in the Polish version used in Afghanistan.

  • @rizzah42 Is there Abram tanks in Afghanistan?

  • @Bjjownsu10 The Army doesn't have any Abrams tanks deployed currently, but the Marines do. The Marines don't have to play as nice as the Army.

  • @rizzah42 Ok I guess its a good thing i'm joining the Marines not the Army lol.

  • @rizzah42 neither marine or army have tanks in afghanistan because there are many mountains in afghanistan they both (army nd marines) had tanks in iraq but combat troops left so most m1 abrams are back home some in germany with the us army there but the marines have their abrams back in the us

  • Road legal??? Holy shit I gotta get one of these!!!

  • @pilotliam damn right

  • @pilotliam Good news! An unconfigured Stryker costs $1.7M at FRP (full rate production). Bad news [for you]! GDLS (General Dynamic Land Systems) will not sell one to you!

  • @pilotliam Prepare to spend about 20million to the least

  • @pilotliam Prepare to spend 4 million on that

  • @pilotliam Yeah Ideal for traffic jams.

  • Awesome stuff !

  • Great show. Thanks for the upload!
