This definitely is not the first song ever by Amit Kumar. He already had a smashing success as a playback singer in 1982 release 'Love Story'.

You are right. Amit Kumar sang songs much before 'Love Story' too. He sang for his father's film 'Door Ka Rahi' (1971) - the song was 'Main ek panchi matwala re'. He sang for 'Balika Badhu' (1976) a sentimental and superb song - Bade acche lagte hain. You must listen to these songs.

Rajesh kahna, Amitab, and Dave anand had use most of Kishur kumar's songs in their movies.I also heard that, Rajesh kahna's voice resembles kishur's voice, but he doesnt sing.Can anyone tell me why kishur's son Amit kumar doesn't sing anymore?He also has good voice.

He was told by Kishore (his dad), that to work & to be sucessful in this industry, you have to wear a paarda (you have to act different to how u really are in life). Amit did'nt this & thats why he quit. Personelly, i think he gave it up as he was making too much money selling fire-damaged sex dolls on the side.
