  • wow... look easy.. i will try to do that

  • hey can you plz tell me where to buy that soup base.....? i live in san diego......

  • @sonalee9080 I purchase mine from an Asian Supermarket. If you have a Ranch 99 or Lion Supermarket, try those places.

  • i use a diffrent soup base which comes in a jar.. and also coconut!! and you can add quail eggs

  • @Asianlovejuice Honestly, for this style I am not sure. The ingredients on the back package is all written in Chinese. I do have a Cambodian-Style hot pot base which is available on my website if you would like to check it out.

  • if you use beef, then use beef stock or vegetable.

Chicken stock is for chicken and fish.

  • where can i get the hot pot base at? and if im using beef can i use beef broth instead of chicken?

  • i think the raw egg... was to add more flavor just like sukiyaki in japan, after all we were occupied by the jap. years ago....(:

  • lol 1 can water?

  • yeah I know :) growing up sometime my Mother use different stuff to measure and she would tell me like "oh put one rice bowl" of this and that. Asian household rarely have real measuring instruments ehehhe

  • Great video. I am inspired to make hot pot for dinner tomorrow night. Thanks.

  • Is 'broth' another word for stock?

  • Yes.

  • why is the soup mix in chinese?

  • Because it's a Chinese Style hot pot.

  • with the egg on the beef what does it do. also do you beat the egg when cooking the beef or just leave as is. just wondering, because i often cook hotpot

  • Yes the egg was beat afterward and mix together with the beef. I'm not sure what it does to the beef although I have heard people say it tenderize? Again, don't quote me on this LOL Maybe it's for flavor? You will have to try it and see if it you like it.

  • Nice.. beautiful dish. I don't know if it is the same dish with Yahon Hot Pot. It looks really alike. Where can I get that mogolian paste if I don't live close to khmer Super Market ( khmer comunity).

Anyway I'm really proud that you make our dishes videos. keep going your precoius job.

  • It's not the same as the Khmer Yahon. The ingredients are different. This is more similar to the Chinese version. As for the soup base, I purchase it at a Chinese (Oriental) Supermarket. Try looking for it in the isle that has all those helper packets. I don't know the exact name but like marinade and sauce packets. Or you can always ask the store if they carry soup base for Hot Pot. I'm sure they can direct you to that section.

  • lmao .. I also like the sax in this song too however S-E-X-Y didn't cross my mind. Interesting interpretation eheheh
