Your videos are so helpful, you really own the machine unfortunately for me when I'm sewing the machine owns me :( I'm sticking to designing for now, but I do hope to be dressmaking soon , if you get a chance stop by my channel and check out my designs, thank you again for sharing your knowledge
@fionasue1 Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I've subscribed to your channel, it looks great. I'll certainly be paying visits when the opportunity presents itself.
It would be great if you could demonstrate how to use a roll hemming foot, as I am really struggling with it especially when using it to hem a chiffon scarf...the corners are a nightmare! thanks for your great videos!
@0o0TheQueenBee0o0 It took me lots of practice to use that foot, but once I got it down it's a life saver! I was showed to snip corners, and sew a stitch or two straight, then pull it thru the foot. I don't know if there are different sizes or not, but my foot takes about 1/2" for an even 1/4" hem. The hardest part was evenly feeding the fabric. For skirts, hem before construction. I've found other vids on youtube that help. I've done chiffon scarves too, try snipping the corners! :)
Hi, Colleen great video. One question though. How about those very very tiny narrow hem that I have on my skirt? Like about 2 mms I am sure the factory use a foot so it is very precise?
@3838bbla Your quite right. Factory made clothes such as your example do use a special foot to get such tiny hems but you can hand sew or use a serger / overlocker to get the same effect.
This is very helpful.
