i like this song and this is one of the songs that my dad likes im 20 nd my dad is still here but not for long he's dieing of COPD i have already seen four of my family die of this and pass away. i was young about 5 when my grandma died and i didn't understand why i couldn't go and stay there it was only when i was nine when my mum sat me down and explained that she had died and that i had to go to my grandads funeral this was a song played there it still makes me cey.
This was one of my Mamaw's favorite songs.. I didn't have a mom growing up and she was the closest thing I had to a mother figure... She was diagnosed with stage four cancer I moved in with her to take care of her as she died.. It was really hard but im glad i did it! I love you Mamaw thank you for teaching me how to be a woman....
This reminds me of me but obviously not as old as reba.... i learned to ride horse when i was 5... now my mom and her sister always tell me and my sisters and cousins that cowgirls dont cry... and we always listen to country songs... once we heard this song rate away we now said this is are song
a really close guy friend knew my relationship problems, and told me to listen to this song. he was always here for me. but as we kept talking, we got feelings for eachother. we had so much in common. but it ended. :'( i think of him everytime i hear this song <|3
My daddy raised me as a southern country girl. and this song touches me everytime. u learn that if u fall off the saddle u get back up, dust yourself off, and get right back on that horse and keep on riddin. <3
My best guy friend (we like eachother a lot) sang this song to me when I lost my dad the best man I ever knew and when he sang that song to me I felt so much better and now he's he best man I know(: and every time he see's me about to cry he sings that song to me until I get back up(: Thank you Daddy and thank you Blake, because of you two this cowgirl is done crying!
@irborneranger89 ok well maybe you would cry if you were 3 and seen your cousin get hit by a car so hard that it knocked his shoes off him or maybe you would cry if you were holding your grandpas hand when he was tlaking to you and he died. or maybe you would cry when your dog died on your birthday. hmm would you cry if you seen that???
I just found out that my grandma has alzheimer's. I was standing on the stairs as my dad got off the phone with my aunt. He said: "Grandma's got alzheimer's." My knees grew week, and I thought I was going to collapse. I could feel the tears in my eyes.
I stopped myself from breaking down by thinking: Cowgirls don't cry!
When my husband left my daughter and i, I taught this song to her to help her feel better about missing her dad. It's been almost 2 years and she hasnt heard or seen him since then but she still sings this song when she's sad. Every time I hear it i think about how strong women of all ages are.
My favorite horse just died today. He was only 6 years old. He had an aneurysm and seizured until he died. I was in full work mode when he was dying, keeping his head up checking his pulse, everything. I didn't cry when his head fell limp on the ground. I was too busy making sure he wasn't still breathing, calling people to help. It all happened so fast. I didn't cry until I sat there with him until his body grew cold and watched his white body descend into the ground. RIP baby boy<3
My daddy and I own a ranch, and when i was 4 he bought me a Pony named Lilac. My momma made videos of me riding Lilac, and now I'm 14, I still have my beautiful Lilac, but my daddy died of cancer not long ago. and he told me the same thing, Cowgirls dont cry because this was our song... Right before he died, he told me it was ok to cry, and i told him "Daddy, cowgirls dont cry".... This song means so much to me! I love you daddy!
I envy anyone who has a horse or even rides. I can't. I self-harm and if I fail at anything my self-harm gets worse. It hurts that I can't live my dream because if I don't do well enough I'll destroy myself but I guess Cowgirls don't cry.
@catfacetheoriginal hey, saw your post, and i dont know if you will read this..But Just so you know i know exactly what u are going through I cut myself for 3 years. and still to this day when I am going thru hard times i am really tempted to it. @smileymere7 Its called..barrel racing. And that is a common thing to do when barrel racing cause you are trying to avoid any contact with your horses mouth when you are running back from your pattern.
@breal45 thats a good thing cuz a lot of american automakers are going overseas. Toyota empolys more american workers than ford or chevy...thats ironical.

Cheftastytreats, thank you much for your response. Your mom told you the absolute truth about the way to treat any woman. Just because you can slip on a pair of jeans and boots don't make you country or a cowgirl, It's about working hard everyday, riding, and a cowgirl attitude!
WOW!! There seems to me nothing more beautiful than a daddy loving, teaching, protecting and being his little girl's best friend through life. Too soon, these precious little gals are gone from home into the unknown. Hopefully, she goes into the arms of a good man, like her daddy, for the rest of their lives. Ladies/girls, you are a most wonderful gift to us men, and may you have a wonderful journey through this life. We only come this way once! Ole Johnny B.
i have always wanted a horse to ride ever since i was just a little one im only in 6th grade and love to ride i dont have my own horse but love when i get to go ride with my uncle or my cousin. Life is hard no dad and just a little money. You look around and alot of them cowgirls have there dads there to help them get right back on again. But some of us dont my momma says us who dont are only that much stronger. My family watch me run outside every morning so i can just see my grandpas horse
I told my dad and mom I wanted a horse I was only 2... My dad + mom got me horseback riding lessons when I was 7.. I rode a horse named Charlie... He taught me to canter and everything! He died about a year ago on Oct. 26th 2010! I cried my heart out... Then one day on my birthday I saw a horse trailer coming up our driveway my dad bought me a new horse Foresight!!! I was so excited!!! I had Foresight about 8 moths after Charlie died... I still have him now... A 14 year old Morgan horse... <3<3
@allthingshalie I don't care how a pig spells its name. I don't care if you know how to spell you trailer trash cunt. Go eat a moonpie or some grits you country fat fuck.
@gets9193 OMG! You got me! I don't know what to say now. No, I don't know the pigs personally, but I have smelled them as I have passed and I recognize the stench.
@iLoveYouxoxoxox100 If you knew anything about barrel racing(which is what shes doing in the video) you hold the horn when you go around the barrels so your not being a flop dick on the horses back. Adur.
taylor swift dares to call her music country when its all about boys when you can have this that isabout horses the most graceful thing in the world along with a daughter and dad relationship that will never be broken no matter what
this song is not about not crying it is about her dad who is teaching her to be a stronger girl. ever time i fall of my horse i think of this song and i start crying! but i get right bac on and be more gental withchance my horse because she is a cowgirl and she doesnt need to cry.
Every time I hear this song , I think about when I was little and my dad told me to get back on. I remember my horse throwing me off and me landing in a barb-wire fence and I got right back on, no tears just cuts and bruises. I miss my old horse, I am now 17 and have 22(:
At least I have someone to go to when my day was bad... No one could replace my horses, and reading these stories makes my cry... I hope everyone has a wonderful 2012!!!
When i was 5 i told my dad i wanted a horse....my dad got me a horse that was recently born and i got to name her....i named her Gabby..we grew up together...i fell off her about 100 times everytime i fell i rarely cried....i only remember a few times that i cried...i got right back up on her and tried again....Unfortunately im now 16 and Gabby died about 3 months ago....i miss her so much. i went through everything with her and now shes gone.
@bigmouth1995 i know whats its like to lose a pet that was more then a pet but it was her time as hard as it was letting her go she happy and running free waiting for u to ride her again :)
my daddy baught me my first dirt bike and dirt bikers dont cry, he loves to say "dont squeal" (sqeal = crying) i usually dont, but im sensitive when people in my family or adults yell at me, ive never really been yelled at, im a only child i normally get what i want :) im special, im not ed thats my dad special ed
I LOVE EVERY KIND OF MUSIC! and this song is beautiful, its amazing and are the singers! I dont need about u lovong country and hating all other music, I DONT CARE! I love all kind! There its said! XD
Im a Cowgirl from alabama and i do everything a cowgirl should do but its hard to get me to cry but this song reminded me of the good times i had :) this song is well worth it
Everybody crys it doent mean real cowgirls dont cry it is ust teaching you to be a stronger person but trust me, everybody crys especially true genuine cowgirls raised in the south this song is just saying that the girls father was teaching her to be a stonger person
this song reminds me of my daddy he died in a house fire i wish he could of herd me in the fire traped in the basement screaming daddy daddy i love you!

i have always wanted a horse to ride ever since i was just a little one im only in 6th grade and love to ride i dont have my own horse but love when i get to go ride with my uncle or my cousin.

iLoveYouxoxoxox100 1 month ago
@iLoveYouxoxoxox100 If you knew anything about barrel racing(which is what shes doing in the video) you hold the horn when you go around the barrels so your not being a flop dick on the horses back. Adur.

this song is not about not crying it is about her dad who is teaching her to be a stronger girl. ever time i fall of my horse i think of this song and i start crying! but i get right bac on and be more gental withchance my horse because she is a cowgirl and she doesnt need to cry.
issyroxfox 2 months ago
Every time I hear this song , I think about when I was little and my dad told me to get back on. I remember my horse throwing me off and me landing in a barb-wire fence and I got right back on, no tears just cuts and bruises. I miss my old horse, I am now 17 and have 22(:
At least I have someone to go to when my day was bad... No one could replace my horses, and reading these stories makes my cry... I hope everyone has a wonderful 2012!!!
