  • So NEXT used a API GUI development kit overlayed on BSD and Apple bought that and put it inside Mac OSX...

  • Omgosh! add a few furries!

  • poo soo old pcs and now we have 6gb ram and its normal.

  • thumbs up if you're watching this because you got to this part in the Issacson biography.

  • The display reminds me of an iMac from 1987...

  • @ErMiPa0105 1998, maybe?

  • What's kind of crazy is, the stuff Steve is presenting in this video never really went away. Most of what made NeXTSTEP what it was went into Mac OS X. Since iOS is mostly derived from OS X, part of NeXTSTEP is in every single iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad today. Some of the class names used in iOS development have names like NSString, NSObject, NSWindow, etc.

  • Wheres the NeXT emulator on IOS?

  • notice he's admiring adobe.. saying how fast it runs on the screen important video. i totally miss him

  • 16 mb ram lol 3 years spend //

  • wtf jobs in suit thats unreal

  • @MoldytoasterMedia trolling, obviously

  • @bajer111 haha, yep

  • nice to see steve talk about revolutionary hardware systems, and revolutionary software coding. Where is aldus now?

  • Notice how little the presentations have changed? Same typography etc.

  • We hope your happy digital life.

Man japanese translations just crack me up.

  • Thumbs up then...it is like biography as interactive experience...!

  • Thumbs up if the Steve Jobs biography got u here =)

  • @jockeleu it took me a while to find it. I just read this chapter. great stuff

  • which year was that? If 9-18-1990, the second presentation of Next comp. Im still looking for the first one presentation 12 October 1988, in San Francisco which was so the most fantastic one for SJ.

  • @TheVinchiFish I thought this was the '88 presentation, because of the flowers on the stage (as the biography describes) and because he says he's been working on this for 3 years...

  • Everyone is so thankful here that makes me vomit

  • the one dislikes must be sculley!

    長いですが、全編みられることをおすすめします。

    プレゼン方法も含めて、今でも通じる内容もあると思っています。

  • Jobs made sense of the computer jargon and spoke so confidently and basically about it, that you just must of had to sit there and go - yes! Object Oriented coding! Now I don't can save and focus on what matters - software coding!

Jobs just kept always focusing on the core of things, then focusing on it like a laser and cutting away the beauty of things.

I think these NeXT presentations really show him at his best.

Thank you for sharing these, great stuff! I'm fascinated by the NeXT era!

  • Thank you for watch. He was very very very clever and still no change.
