  • beautiful song!

Brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it!

  • Neil is like a fine wine that gets better with age. There is no need to further comment because the music speaks for itself... Billions and billions of stars...

  • This is so amazing!

The old man could play an umbrella with his ass and it would still sound better than many other strange attempt to play music.

  • I heard they had to take a semi-truck to this gig because Neil Young KICKED SO MUCH ASS! Even unplugged!

  • Yahoo bgrady1234 : Underestimated for some, that is. Not for us. Neil forever.

  • HAHA suckas hes my grandfathers 2nd cousin neil young is da best

  • Best version ever.

  • Love that organ. In danish it's called something like a 'hymn-bike'...

  • he's the man

  • amazing song. i love this man. he is the best of all time

  • The MTV live album is my first introduction to neil young so i heard this version first and prefer this version. But on the album its shorter. Thanks for posting..

  • Same here, the MTV live was my introduction to Neil aswell. Got it from a friend and asolutely loved it. Probably my most listened to album ever.

I had no idea back then what a great journey he would take me on when i started to explore his truly amazing catalogue.

  • Yeah I now have harvest, harvest moon, neil young neil young and after the gold rush he has an biography wich is an interesting read.....

  • this is the album that got me into his music too. I've been an addict ever since.

  • when would this be best listened too? any suggestions? wow

  • before that moment u touched my lips that perfect feeling when time just slips away between us, on our foggy trip....you are like a hurricane

  • he is one of the best but very underrated wich makes me mad.

  • fuccccckkkkkkkkkkk this is too good

what concert is this from???? unplugged???

  • neil is god.

  • this makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. the sound of the organ/harmonica is such a haunting combination...

  • i used to be (and still am) crazy about the sound of a church organ. When my dad noticed, he searched a whole day to find this song. And when he found it and let it play, i was really 'blown away'. I never forgot this song and hearing it now again... Words fail to describe my feeling:)

    peace.

  • I agree, the sound of a church organ is fascinating. This version is incredible.

  • This is great, thanks to woever put this up here. The one and only version to hear of this song, IMO.

It lasts 2 minutes longer than the released version. I gotta say the edit on CD served a purpose; the last two minutes here are less intense than the first 4:30.

  • One of the most amazing performances ever, by anyone, full stop. And I'm not even a massive fan. But I did make a point of finding this video. Amazing, touching, disturbing?, brilliant.

  • This is AMAZING. I first heard this on cassette in 1995 or so. Knocked me out then...knocks me out now. THANK YOU, NEIL YOUNG!!!

  • i loved this verson he did it in his unpluged album was sweet ;] long live neil young long live rock and roll and long live rocking in the free world ;]

  • what a beautiful fragile vocal. The moment at end where the harmonica peaks is fantastical. Makes me see the futility of life weighed out with the advent of love. Shit im a mortal.

  • That was the most beautifully twisted version of this song. I'd love to hear Tom Waits doing his take of it with the organ.

  • Now I can die in peace having found this. thx.

  • beautiful... thnx laingui

  • Increible

  • Love this version!

Neil Young's lyrics blow me away!

The organ gives the song an ominous, swirling quality, like a hurricane!

  • Wow - this is sooooo beautiful. The man is a magician! He looks mighty sexy as well! Thanks for sharing.

  • Dude you are a legend! I've never heard this uncut version before!

  • shitting nora this is good. what an amazing song

  • there's no words for this. thanks for not only making my day, but also my tomorrow, and the day after, and on, and on.

  • Thanks!

  • The full version!! Sweet. Great post.

  • Brings back old times. Thanks for sharing.

  • Fabulous post, Neil is superb as usual. Thank you so much for this one!!! 5 Stars

    Michael

  • I am a blessed man. My church has an ancient pump organ in a small room near the sanctuary. I was there last Thurs.--messed around...played "Like a Hurricane" as best I could. Oh my...wow... Thank you, Neil. Thank you poster. Jeff Wilson, Portland, OR

  • does anyone know where i can get the unplugged dvd?

    great vid

  • This is shit hottt...

  • this version sends chills up my spine. so good.

  • That's what I call unpluged, with the pump organ and harmonica.Great version of his own song!!!!

  • And somewhere inbetween...that voice, as much an instrument as any. Reminds me of when I got married in 1980 and we had a friend play this on the church organ. Everyone went wild...the priest was not amused.
