I showed my girlfriend a photo that is clearly a building, and asked her what she thought it was. she agreed it was a building, then asked where it was. when I said Mars, she instantly said that it wasnt possible, and dismissed it!! lol

Look life was there for a brief moment. Now its there again..contamination since the 70s. We were not thinking about it then and rarely think about it now. We have not sent rovers to look for life. 2. Anyone who believes that NASA /JPL would not release these with nothing of interest in them is way off track here. What if they are being released for the purpose of intentional slow disclosure. So the question of why this image was released is invalid. The documentation is in this video that the image is from NASA archives, It show reasonable depiction for intelligent life on mars. All anyone has to do is research this material. If they are any good they will find more depictions of life.
As I said before in this thread, 1. I am addressing the question of why would NASA release these images if they showed signs of intelligence. This question brought up by sibritstone here, is one that seems to the big argument over it being a valid finding. I cannot answer why NASA would release these or even if it was released intentionally by NASA. I could speculate that it was or was not all day long. But that will not change the fact it is a real image of mars with depictions of life.

@Ufoevidence101 Easy, grab a telescope (granted a high power telescope, which you can book time through certain sources) and observe, you wont see cars moving around, you wont see people farming, you wont see lights in houses. @sibritstone Telescope wont do the job, if it did then why do they send satellites to map the surface. Because satellites will take clearer images than a telescope that has to go through hundred of thousands of miles of atmosphere. It has to do with atmospheric aberration. A telescope will never get as close as a satellite that is only hundreds of miles from the planet. lenses and mirrors are not capable of getting close enough to see objects 50 feet across. Satellite WILL. Ur misguided

@sibritstone It is interesting how images of the Moon, Mars, etc. can be so tricky. At one moment, you think you're looking at an elevated highway, for instance, with shadowing underneath and all, and the next moment you realize the image is merely that of a ridge and valley.

The whole area 25 miles long and 7 miles wide looks suspicious. But the "bridge is over 1 1/2 miles, so those "people" have to be the size of skyscrapers. That shot is about 8-10 miles (About 1/3 of the whole complex) diagonally, facing West, and at a steep angle. For reference, the "crater" in the top right (farthest West) is Approx. 1 mile across.

I don't believe there is other life out there. Sure you can assume so, but there is no undeniable proof to state otherwise. Universal law is about not interferer in the life of another creature unless absolute logic dictates it. Lots of digsites have been discovered by satelites on earth because they have shown geometrical patterns seen from space, the same can be seen in many areas on mars and the moon, they are identical to the ones found on earth, but why is it so hard to believe that they are man made and not natural? I dare you to have a look at his site and try to explain those findigs away into nothing. I will be waiting to here back from you after you research his findings. You can plainly see in the images he presents there are trees and vegitation and entire forest with lakes right next to them.

I can see something that resembles a bridge with something that looks like a shadow below it but everything else is tenuous at best. The images are far too blurry to accurately ascertain what anything is; it's pure guesswork. Nothing to see here, move along.

@8996mogs oh I think I understand what you are trying to do. You said in one statement below that Mars magnetosphere is weak just like its atmosphere. Then a few hours later you post this, there is no magnetosphere which leads to no atmospheric pressure. So in one statement you profess there is a slight atmosphere and magnetosphere, then you say there is neither. I think you need the classes. And you should probably stay away from saying things like you can prove it. You contradict yourself.
@8996mogs I don't know where you get your information from. You probably made it up rather than get it from a real source. But anyway you say there is no magnetosphere on mars which leads to no atmosphere. You are incorrect!. For a long time it was thought that Mars, like Venus, had no magnetosphere. The Russians first made measurements which suggested that there was a magnetic field present.. Scientists found a magnetic field surrounding Mars using an instrument on the Mars Surveyor probe.
supposing that the pics do show lifeforms and buildings...the angle of the shot and distance from the plain...the scale is a bit off for these to be used by the lifeform, this is a shot from space at a slight angle...sometimes its easy to see what you want to see as well...continueing with the scale the land bridge is rather small incomparison to the lifeform and the objects you call flying machines are also small in scale to the lifeform...only a clear and color photo would show the truth here.
@offenwrong actually the distance from the surface is less than 2 miles. The shot is zoomed 300 X the original. Also if you understand the bridge is at a much lower altitude than where the life forms are. So in effect the bridge and space craft are farther away from the camera and would appear to small in scale. Just like when you fly over a city, the people on the roofs will look to big for the cars on the street below.

If mars has a water vapor, whether it be clouds of condensation in the atmosphere then you can bet your life on it water is on the surface in liquid form. I don't know what is or isn't on mars and im no expert and I admit most of the photos are questionable at best, but if NASA would give us clear images like many of the rover images then we would know and could get past all of this. Most of this stuff could just be natural but it is obvious that NASA would rather keep the argument going rather than show us what is really on Mars.

For informational purposes: An "A" frame structure is VERY much shaped like an A, with Extreme "pitch", often referred to as "12/12" pitch or greater. What Mr. R is pointing out would more correctly be called a "standard" or normal pitch. A better description would be "Gabled Roof"with the "A" Frame description reserved for the extremely pitched roof. Just trying to help in some minor way. Great Stuff!

I'm with u on that, the angle of the shadow cast from the "bridge" doesn't seem consistent with the shadows cast from the craters around it. I think it's just a crater on a hillside that looks like a bridge. I also think this guy that made this video is looking at ink blots and seeing what he wants to see. Coloring a trench blue doesn't make it a river, painting a pile of dust green doesn't make it a tree.

Lol....I believe this when you give us a relevant scale as any map or GIS layer should have. You expect any trained cartographer or GIS analyst to believe that given the probable scale of that crater (which is most likely thousands of meters wide that you can actually make out creatures. Your "land bridge" is a deformed crater at best created by an optical illusion caused by the viewing angle and angle of the light source.
@spaceface3122 2000 meters is equal to 6561.68 feet is less than 1 ½ miles. So if you are thinking that several thousands meters is A huge distance maybe you should quit thinking you know everything and start investigating before you condemn the work I have done. But the fact is the view in this video is only at most a few HUNDRED meters from the surface, less than a third of a mile. Less than 1000 meters across the image. That would make that crater about 300 feet across = 0.05682 mi.

Proving these are not of mars is harder than exposing what is in them should not be there if current science is true, that there is nothing on mars worth exploring.

I don't buy it. You're saying there's intelligent life on Mars by pointing out strutures, but look at the whole picture. Everything that surrounds what you're pointing out is a waste-land. If there was life on Mars, you'd see patterns of structure all over the place. They still have meteor circles next to their bridges. Just a little theory, but I've been doing research on this for quite some time and I came to an epiphany about life on both the moon and on mars living within the craters (you can always see paths, or roads leaving the craters, and often times leading to other craters) I believe that the ancient and current people's that inhabit these celestial bodies somehow knew what we perceive about lightning, that it won't hit the same spot twice, thus a crater would be a safe place.(Won't hit here again?)

I remember when I was in school about 50 years ago they used to have books about Mars and the Planets and I distinctly remember Mars as an orange/red planet with green areas and green canals. They haven't shown that for many years. I think those kinds of books disappeared around the late 60's. Even if they were an artists conception, artists draw what they see.

The satellite images that have always been given out are in fact radio spectrometry images. This is why the images of mars look like a Norman Rockwell painting. Because in effect they are a drawing or painting. Radio waves bounced off the surface return different frequency after they have bounced off an object, these frequencies are then used to create an Image or facsimile of the surface. Different branch of the government with separate funding. It's a lot easier to put a satellite into orbit around Earth than around Mars. What does that mean? It means with less funds they are not about to put such an expensive piece of equipment into a one time use, with such a high probability of it missing it's target. I am familiar wit JP Skippers site, and it is a real eye opener. I showed my girlfriend a photo that is clearly a building, and asked her what she thought it was. she agreed it was a building, then asked where it was. when I said Mars, she instantly said that it wasnt possible, and dismissed it!! lol

So the question of why this image was released is invalid. The documentation is in this video that the image is from NASA archives, It show reasonable depiction for intelligent life on mars. Because satellites will take clearer images than a telescope that has to go through hundred of thousands of miles of atmosphere. It has to do with atmospheric aberration. A telescope will never get as close as a satellite that is only hundreds of miles from the planet. lenses and mirrors are not capable of getting close enough to see objects 50 feet across. I believe in the possibility of life outside our planet but these images and explanations do not do it for me. I do not think space craft or flying craft would be parked anywhere near civilian type property. I do not believe a person such as you or I would be running around outside playing with a dog in the atmosphere of mars. The whole area 25 miles long and 7 miles wide looks suspicious. But the "bridge is over 1 1/2 miles, so those "people" have to be the size of skyscrapers. That shot is about 8-10 miles (About 1/3 of the whole complex) diagonally, facing West, and at a steep angle. For reference, the "crater" in the top right (farthest West) is Approx. 1 mile across.

I can see something that resembles a bridge with something that looks like a shadow below it but everything else is tenuous at best. The images are far too blurry to accurately ascertain what anything is; it's pure guesswork. Nothing to see here, move along.

I have no fear of changing my reality if indeed what I am beholding is real, however I will not trade in reality for someone elses hallucination. As all such presentations so far this too fails to convince. I could just as well present similar likenesses in any number of random textured surfaces, tree bark, heck even in the natural surface features of Mars. I would like there to be lost or abandoned civilizations on other worlds but so far I see only the poor constructs of wishful thinking.

Then a few hours later you post this, there is no magnetosphere which leads to no atmospheric pressure. But anyway you say there is no magnetosphere on mars which leads to no atmosphere. You are incorrect!. For a long time it was thought that Mars, like Venus, had no magnetosphere. The Russians first made measurements which suggested that there was a magnetic field present.. Scientists found a magnetic field surrounding Mars using an instrument on the Mars Surveyor probe.

supposing that the pics do show lifeforms and buildings...the angle of the shot and distance from the plain...the scale is a bit off for these to be used by the lifeform, this is a shot from space at a slight angle...sometimes its easy to see what you want to see as well...continueing with the scale the land bridge is rather small incomparison to the lifeform and the objects you call flying machines are also small in scale to the lifeform...only a clear and color photo would show the truth here.

@offenwrong actually the distance from the surface is less than 2 miles. The shot is zoomed 300 X the original. Also if you understand the bridge is at a much lower altitude than where the life forms are. So in effect the bridge and space craft are farther away from the camera and would appear to small in scale. Just like when you fly over a city, the people on the roofs will look to big for the cars on the street below.

If mars has a water vapor, whether it be clouds of condensation in the atmosphere then you can bet your life on it water is on the surface in liquid form. I don't know what is or isn't on mars and im no expert and I admit most of the photos are questionable at best, but if NASA would give us clear images like many of the rover images then we would know and could get past all of this. Most of this stuff could just be natural but it is obvious that NASA would rather keep the argument going rather than show us what is really on Mars.

For informational purposes: An "A" frame structure is VERY much shaped like an A, with Extreme "pitch", often referred to as "12/12" pitch or greater. What Mr. R is pointing out would more correctly be called a "standard" or normal pitch. A better description would be "Gabled Roof"with the "A" Frame description reserved for the extremely pitched roof. Just trying to help in some minor way. Great Stuff!

I'm with u on that, the angle of the shadow cast from the "bridge" doesn't seem consistent with the shadows cast from the craters around it. I think it's just a crater on a hillside that looks like a bridge. I also think this guy that made this video is looking at ink blots and seeing what he wants to see. Coloring a trench blue doesn't make it a river, painting a pile of dust green doesn't make it a tree.

Lol....I believe this when you give us a relevant scale as any map or GIS layer should have. You expect any trained cartographer or GIS analyst to believe that given the probable scale of that crater (which is most likely thousands of meters wide that you can actually make out creatures. Your "land bridge" is a deformed crater at best created by an optical illusion caused by the viewing angle and angle of the light source.

So if you are thinking that several thousands meters is A huge distance maybe you should quit thinking you know everything and start investigating before you condemn the work I have done. But the fact is the view in this video is only at most a few HUNDRED meters from the surface, less than a third of a mile. Less than 1000 meters across the image. That would make that crater about 300 feet across = 0.05682 mi.

Proving these are not of mars is harder than exposing what is in them should not be there if current science is true, that there is nothing on mars worth exploring.

I don't buy it. You're saying there's intelligent life on Mars by pointing out strutures, but look at the whole picture. Everything that surrounds what you're pointing out is a waste-land. If there was life on Mars, you'd see patterns of structure all over the place. They still have meteor circles next to their bridges. Oh have you ever considered all the craters you see are really water basins to capture water. Just a little theory, but I've been doing research on this for quite some time and I came to an epiphany about life on both the moon and on mars living within the craters (you can always see paths, or roads leaving the craters, and often times leading to other craters) I believe that the ancient and current people's that inhabit these celestial bodies somehow knew what we perceive about lightning, that it won't hit the same spot twice, thus a crater would be a safe place.(Won't hit here again?)

I remember when I was in school about 50 years ago they used to have books about Mars and the Planets and I distinctly remember Mars as an orange/red planet with green areas and green canals. They haven't shown that for many years. I think those kinds of books disappeared around the late 60's. Even if they were an artists conception, artists draw what they see.

The satellite images that have always been given out are in fact radio spectrometry images. This is why the images of mars look like a Norman Rockwell painting. Because in effect they are a drawing or painting. Radio waves bounced off the surface return different frequency after they have bounced off an object, these frequencies are then used to create an Image or facsimile of the surface. Because the satellite images are radio frequency drawings the frequency information can be adjusted to have objects blend. NASA / Jpl love to put false coloring and staining into grey colored images. Different branch of the government with separate funding. It's a lot easier to put a satellite into orbit around Earth than around Mars. What does that mean? It means with less funds they are not about to put such an expensive piece of equipment into a one time use, with such a high probability of it missing it's target. Then ask yourself...what happens to the satellite once it's done it's job. Let's just say it doesn't return for recovery.
