I had no idea the song was tied to type 1(juvenille) diabetes)... but sweet n low is definitely an artificial sweetner w/o carbs, makes sense.

I just married my love of my life, and she in fact has type 1 diabetes since 14.. my job makes me travel, sometimes over the pond, and on the 10+ hour flights this song on the flight playlist touched me in such a way...made me miss her like nothing else... had no idea though it touched so close with juvenille diabetes though

No no no. They didn't RE-WRITE "heart shaped Gun". "Heart shaped gun" was not the original song. That song has been recorded like 5 different ways over the past few years while they were trying to figure out what direction they wanted to go in with their next album. They decided to go with the ORIGINAL version which is called "Hey Now" on the new album.

most of you have no clue what ur talking about in these comments. Everyone thinks the first version they heard of "heartshaped gun" was the "original song". It's not. There's like 5 different versions of the song...it's been changed around numerous times. They tried out the "Heartshaped gun" version, but then decided to go back and re-record it the way it was first written (the way it sounds on the new album).
