he admits in this interview he doesn't know shit about how the government works, and a few years later he's now the expert. thats the left for you. thats their experts.
Comedians so often get into politics because it's easy to spin, as most voters don't know their left from their right...pun intended. They look smart saying anything they wish and presenting their views as fact for the well-being of the masses. It's a dangerous, slippery-slope, because idiots follow these guys more then educated opinions... making "the lesser of two evils" an acceptable concept.
@threepercenter03 They're comedians, genius. They're funny, entertaining guys that people enjoy. Not everyone that watches them put them on a pedestal as all-knowing sages. Maybe the problem is that you "follow" other people's opinions. Think for yourself for once.
@CoolerKing37 I was thinking for myself before you were filling up your diapers, boy. my comment never suggested I listen to this crap or believe what ever's spoon fed to me... my comment is based on the idiotic banter blogged all over the net. you wanna troll? find some sheep that think you're as smart as you think you are... I know better.
@CoolerKing37 I've forgotten more then you'll ever know, that's guaranteed... the education system today is an abysmal failure; your generation is synonymous with nothing... you're a laughing stock even to third world countries. Don't think this tit4tat "I know you are, but what am I?" b.s. makes you anything more then a fly in the ointment. Go play in traffic.
@threepercenter03 Well, you got me! I'm sure you went on to do great things to help the world!.......Oh right, you're here arguing with me instead. How'd that happen?
@Oxmustube It's sad to watch how much Miller pulled to the right after this show, he really sold out. He talked a lot on DML about how scared people are. My guess is that he was talking about himself, and he found solace in extreme right-wing ideology.
Dennis Miller was so cool back when he did his show. Now he's just this suck hole to Bill O'Reilly on Fox. Hate seeing him on thier constantly kissing ass. Really sad because he was really great back in the day.
What's interesting is to watch these guys attack Al Gore, whereas now it's like blasphemy to attack him since all he's doing now is making the world a super happy place. I was too young to pay attention to 2000's presidential election, but these days Gore has such an untouchable and desirable status that it's interesting to see Jon Stewart of all people call him fake.
The great thing about the series of Miller interviews (95, 97, 98, 00, and 02) is that they provide an excellent timeline for the evolution of Stewart's comedic style, and I had started watching Jon Stewart since he first started on the Daily Show with my parents when I was 9. He's always improving, and it's by leaps and bounds, which is great since he's always been incredibly hilarious.
Naaah... Don't worry about that. I think Stewart only wanted to point out that Hillary Clinton at that time was the most powerful woman in the world and that that sort of made her running for office less impressive from a feminist point of view.
Jon's a perv. Love it.
