Comedians so often get into politics because it's easy to spin, as most voters don't know their left from their right...pun intended. They look smart saying anything they wish and presenting their views as fact for the well-being of the masses. What's interesting is to watch these guys attack Al Gore, whereas now it's like blasphemy to attack him since all he's doing now is making the world a super happy place. I was too young to pay attention to 2000's presidential election, but these days Gore has such an untouchable and desirable status that it's interesting to see Jon Stewart of all people call him fake.

The great thing about the series of Miller interviews (95, 97, 98, 00, and 02) is that they provide an excellent timeline for the evolution of Stewart's comedic style, and I had started watching Jon Stewart since he first started on the Daily Show with my parents when I was 9. He's always improving, and it's by leaps and bounds, which is great since he's always been incredibly hilarious.
