  • awesome cover man! such a sweet tone! and i like how you cited your pick in the description! not something most do;) great job!

  • @PhillyA25

Thank you man ! I appreciate it, and yeah I thought it was interesting to know which pick I used :p Glad you like it !! :D

  • @e4i not a problem ! keep rocking(:

  • Awesome! Very useful stuff man! Thanks!

  • Awesome job dude, did you transcribe this? I wanna try and transcribe but ive only been playing about 8 months lol! Also do you think this over any Pentatonic scales maybe g#?

  • Really nice cover of this!

  • What is your setup for recording?

  • Dude, thank you so much, finally learned this after continuously watching your vid. Such a beautiful piece of music :)

  • @LooseFit88 Thank you man ! I'm glad my video could help you master this lick "song" ! :)

  • man, what amp you are using in this song?

  • @vitorspzn03 Hi !

    I'm using a Vox AD15 Valvetronix !

  • M0:00RE!

  • alice in chain - nutshell :)

  • greeeeeeeeat

  • thaanks, really helped me learn it, posted a cover of it now :)

  • Flawless! John would be proud.

  • your tab is wrong..

  • Not the same passion as Frusciante plays it with, but good none the less.

  • Scar tissue would fit nicely right after this jam, wont you agree? It just sounds like it could start right after

  • what is the name of your guitar?

  • Man! this is awesome! I'm crying

  • Awesome! Thanks for tabs, check out my guitar cover of Under The Bridge if you wanna.

  • Great!

  • Ok, you're playing the right notes, without mistakes, but man ! No accents ! There's no emotion in your playing at all.

  • @DarkTeam0 i don't agree at all, i even like the fact he's using some reverb. dude obviously spent some real time sitting down learning a 30 second lick and even tabbing it out for people. dude has passion - comes through in this vid plenty. no accents? you must be joking or trolling

  • Great version. Frusciante is the man

  • sounds good, just attack it harder and speed it up a touch.

  • great playing! love you strat!

  • @frisk1111111111 Thats a squire champ

  • @andow7 Squire is a guitar brand you dumbass. strat is the guitar that he is using. get it right dumb champ

  • @frisk1111111111 Are you fucking kidding me..squire is made by fender, fender is the brand, squire is the line, its not a strat because strat is a line, it doesnt mean if it looks like a strat doesnt make it a strat, it cant be a strat and a squire at the same time you idiot, you dont own the world and know everything in it since you just had your eighth birthday party the other day.

  • @andow7 You named a brand in the beginning. i didnt say its a strat and squire at the same time you dumbass. it says in his profile that its a white strat. so get it right. you dont own the world and know everything since your mom got raped :)

  • @frisk1111111111 I said squire..im not even arguing with you any more if you honestly think thats a strat, you can clearly see its a squire, im not ragging on the guy in the video because he obviously can play but who knows he may have said strat to make himself feel better about it being a squire, or he recently got a strat to replace the squire in the video, just dont say anythink back because this argument is pointless, you saying my mom got raped shows that your probly no more than fifteen

  • @andow7 ok :)

  • Excellent, thanks friend. :-)

  • smooth

  • Really nice one!

  • good job man I love that guitar!!!

  • it reminds me on knock me down!!!

  • really good work there man! and cheers for tabbing it to, been looking everywhere for a reliable version!

  • good job!

  • very smooth

  • dude ive been trying forever to play those bar chords he plays just using my pointer finger to bar the bottom two strings....did you have trouble with that at first? how were you finally able to get your finger to bend like that lol?

  • Ahah, yeah it took time to me to bend my finger like that ! But it comes naturally to me to play it this way in no really long time ! Just keep practicing, the most important thing is to feel comfortable on the fretboard :p

  • Great playing. This jam by John is amazing, love it.

  • Thanks man, yes this jam is really amazing, John is amazing !

  • this is epic... and thank you for being one of few youtubers to include tab

  • Many thanks man ! Actually I've done this video for people who were requesting tabs :) So I'm glad you appreciate it !

  • hmmmmm nice sounding guitar, this type of squiers are really good

  • @retal06 what type?

  • Awesome cover !

Very beautiful and big thanks for the tab and the illustration :)

I have one question : What are the settings of your amp ? (I have the same one)

    Thank you in advance !

  • @Mauno Thanks dude, you're welcome ! Haha, the amp setting, this is the only thing I can't tell you :S This is a setting I've done one year ago then save on first channel of the amp, then when my mother cleans my room she cleans my amp and moves all the knob by sweeping it ! I'm so scared that my saved settings disappear since that day because I can't remember the exact setting :S . Since that day I decide to clean my room by myself...

    I'm really sorry I can't help you :S !

  • Beautiful.

  • Thanks for the kind comment !

  • John uses Dunlop .60 tortex (the oranges ones)

  • What pick you use ? heavy or slim

  • It's a 0.60mm it's really slim, actually that's the pick Frusciante use during live performance, from what I've heard...

  • I don't understand very well the difference, i have one of 0.88 mm and one of 1,20 mm, do you recomend the 0.60mm for strumming as Frusciante ?

  • I don't understand the difference too to be true, I think you've got to chose a pick wich can handle your playing, I'm a quiet guy so my playing is soft so I can afford playing with slim pick :p... I think it depends entirely of your playing, I use to play with heavier pick but my sound was the same... Choose a pick you're comfortable with ;) this is really what matters !

  • @Fruscification I think he uses red dunlop picks whatever thickness they are

  • Yes i read in wikipedia that he uses dunlop 0.50mm reds

  • thank you dude!

i send you all my love, the one we share by listening frusciante.

    haha, bullcrap, youknowhaddamean

  • Thanks for comment.,

Finally someone posted tabs for this! great man, thanks. I dig your guitar tone :)

  • Thanks, I dig my tone too ;p . I enjoyed tabbing this, hope it could help people :) .

  • Thanks for comment my video, your tone is awesome

  • You're welcome ;) . Thanks !

  • nice usefull

  • Wow...Very well done, how did you transcribe this?

  • Thanks dude !

How did I tab it ? By looking at the original video and using my ear when my eyes weren't really useful :p

  • *melt* I love Frusciante and I'm so glad I've found your page! hank you so much for your comment because I'm here and listening to all your covers and the originals! Your tone is awesome. When did you start playing and where do you live?

  • Thank you for your kind comment ;) . I live in France and I've been playing for about a year and 8 month now ! I'm thinking about posting new stuff soon, so stay tune ;) . Thanks again !

  • Hey dude... watch my new video of under the bridge...this one now is better...i need ur comment...pls tanx... search

"armode412" and u'll see the new video... i still got one here, maybe the best from that two...anyway watch it...and i need ur comment...tanx!!!!!

  • Very nice tone

  • bro thats ah squier right waht pickup you have ?

  • These are the original pickups of the Squier, "3x Duncan Designed SC101 single coil pickups" according to the description of the guitar, I've never touched or changed anything from my guitar. Hope that helps you, I don't think that these pickups are great as they're actually on a cheap guitar, I don't want to badly advise them to you, this is my first guitar and I haven't any gear knowledge !

  • 1 Part of the tab is wrong from how you play it in the video and it confuses me. On the tab in part 3, it says 7b9 (3rd string) then 8 (2nd string) then the pull off hammer on, but in the video you play the bend on the 7th? Was that a mistake in playing or tabs?

  • I don't know where is the mistake, but the tab makes sense to me :p . Actually you have to do a whole note bend on the 3rd string on the 7th fret as I'm doing on the video and how Frusciante is doing it in the original one ! So in the tab it means "bend 7 to 9 ", I hope I help you to understand what I intend to write ! In my video there is slight differences with the tab I've done, I've done tab from the Frusciante's one, so use tab watching the original one ;).

  • Sorry again, I never use tab, so my writing may be weird ! Don't forget my tab is true to the original bedroom lick, not what I'm playing here ;)

  • I have really enjoyed listening to this great cover you have got talent

  • Merci mec, j'avais pas fais gaffe que tu étais français toi aussi :p En tout cas je te félicites pour ton speed painting de Frusciante, ça m'impressione vachement cette technique de dessin.

  • merci vos couvertures sont grands les aiment

  • hey e41...what's your name and where are you from? Thanks for your comment in my video - cover of under the bridge.. your right, the quality is not a bit good... but I'm tellin' you, i have the best cover in youtube because all of those who covered it really sounds so gay and soft.. anyway, i saw your videos, your are skilled!!! maybe we can jam....My name is art, how bout you, what's your name? thanks!

  • Hi dude, I know what you mean about all under the bridge covers, I'm also thinking most of the time that people make it sounds gay because most of the people who cover it just do it because this is a commercial song and most of the time are not really familiar with RHCP and their real sense of the music ! My name actually is in title of my videos ;) and I'm from France, so it'll be tricky to jam I think ^^ . I'm not really skilled, but I can play music as I want to, that's enough.Thx though ;)

  • Very nice, mate, sweet sound (And i love your guitar)

  • nice video.

  • Great job sounds just like John cant wait to learn it

  • Thanks man, glad you like it ;) .

  • dude i'm enjoying so much this shit...thank you again...

  • You're welcome dude ;) .

  • Haha nice, Orange Tortex 0.66mm . I'mma buy that one too. Is it the Tear Drop shape?

  • No, it's not the Tear Drop one :p

  • I've never picked up a real Fender, this is my first guitar. It seems to stay in tune on this one, but it is really easily out of tune after some bends :s . Gareth Le Tourner is actually my name :p. I'll try to post more videos, that's sure ! I'm glad you like it, I really love your band, you've all got talent !

  • Thx man, yeah I'm mainly a Hendrix's fan, but 6 month ago I discovered and fall in love with Frusciane's stuff and approach of the music. I learned music with Hendrix and so Frusciante, their playing approach is so complete and makes feel you free. Unfortunately I'm not in a band, I've got some friends I jam with some times, but because of such strong studies we can't be officially a band ! I've been playing guitar for just a year and a half ... I've got time to be in a band :)

  • wow ur good man a yr and a half. ive been playing just as long too, but your quite a bit better lol

  • did you play any instruments before guitar?

  • No, I'd never pick up any instrument before I've started guitar. I hope one day though ...

  • Yeah I'm starting to doubt about it too, everybody thinks it's a Fender, if it's the case I'm a lucky guy for having purchase it for 300 bucks :p .

  • how did u manage to get such good tone out of a squier!?

  • I really don't know man, some friend asked me this too, I don't have any answer :p !

  • And on A

  • Missing some notes on E ( first E)

  • you got a beautiful tone! :)

  • Very very good! ;)

  • i love you i got the progression but needed the transition notes thnx

  • omgf, i lovin' john frusciante and he's song, can i love this cover too, very great! (and i love playin' john's frusciante's songs too)

    greetings from poland :)

  • Thx dude, yes John Frusciante is so awesome, I'm glad to know this fantastic artist :) . Keep on listening and playing great music guy !

  • Well played and thanks for the tabs!! =)

  • oh...u are really good!!!

  • nice one mate. really liked your playing and approach to it and sounds very very close to the original. sure everyone will appreciate your tab when you do it (me included!).

    nice gear as well.

  • Great cover, man.

I was thinking about covering it myself. It's hard to make out everything that he's playing from the VPRO video, though.

Anyway, in my opinion, this is material from Frusciante in his prime. I just love his chord melody style, and the material that he came up with with back when he was playing like that.

  • Thx dude, yes to make it sounds perfectly you've got to play it really "raw", the fact is that I'm such a quiet person so I've got some with that :p.

It'll be cool if you cover it too, you've got some nice skills and I'm sure it would sounds great !

Frusciante is definately a guitarist that is not just showing off, he knows where he goes with his music and I worship his weird guitar groundwork, such as Jimi Hendrix's one.
