Is interesting you to do this kind of comparation like the snake and the spider. When I was learning about the guitar, this kind of thing was really usefull.
But don't you think the "spider" is natural?
I'm saying that because when I'm playing this faster songs, normally look for ways to facility the picking.
....Often, we don´t find this kind of "pratical way of thinking" in most of manuals and methods, and in my opinion, the "natural" way and not "theoretical" will be the one that will support best your interpretation and expression and for yourself to enjoy your playing.
