  • Annoying woman in need of attention

  • toyota fj cruiser can eat toyota land cruiser in off roading

  • @maxthehulk Umm, FJ Cruiser IS a Land Cruiser. "FJ" is the letter code for the Land Cruiser line-up; all Land Cruisers have been called "FJxx"... FJ40, FJ60, FJ80 for instance.

  • @seventhSabra yes i know that but now toyota fj cruiser is a car and toyota land cruiser is another production car and they are totally different in everything :

    toyota fj cruiser :4.0 l v6 259 hp 264 flb 9.4 inchs of ground clearance midsize 29.000 $

    toyota land cruiser :5.7 l v8 381 hp 370 flb 8.9 inchs of ground clearance fullsize costs 67.000 $

  • @maxthehulk They are both Land Cruisers, one is geared for maximum 4x4 ability, the other is geared more for luxurious/mild 4x4 travel. Same relationship between Land Rover Defender vs Range Rover Sport.

  • @seventhSabra ok what is your point iam comparing two 4x4 suvs from one company that is normal like comparing lincoln navigator with ford expedition ,dodge durango with jeep grand cherokee , cadillac escalade with gmc yukon denali etc

  • @seventhSabra Fj is the designation for petrol whereas Bj is the designation for deisel. In any case, no where on the FJ cruiser is there any LandCruiser designation, it is sold as a Toyota SUV and not a Landcruiser, and the FJ is mostly based on the 4runner

  • @captainp33 I know about FJ vs BJ.

But you're wrong, the FJ Cruiser (CRUISER) comes from the Land Cruiser Prado Chassis, and where do you think the "Cruiser" name comes from... it's a modern rebuild of the FJ40 commemorating 50th anniversary of the FJ (Land Cruiser) series. According to the official Land Cruiser PR, it's the latest generation Land Cruiser designed for 4x4 and off-road travel whereas the current "Land Cruiser" has become more of a luxury vehicle.

  • @seventhSabra .....Sure ok...so the FJ Cruiser has the words Cruiser in its name like the PT Cruiser, that doesn't make it a LC. If it was called Toyota LandCruiser FJ Cruiser then it would be a LandCruiser, but it isn't. It's a Toyota FJ Cruiser. The 4runner is also based on the Prado. So by that logic is the 4runner a LandCruiser too? What about the Lexus GX, is that really a Prado. Infact the V8 4runner has the drive train that you can actually get in a LandCruiser.

  • the flies are funny

  • Ive never used a spotter whats the fun in wheelin if someone is telling you where to go?

  • Can'r wait until we get our white one... been on order for 8 mths now >_<" Just wanna get out into the outback and have some serious fun (:

  • Jeans In Death Valley? She's a Boss

  • this is the reason why I have a Jeep :D

  • While the big rock climbing ability is impressive, I find this sport to be boring and ultimately stupid. I cant imagine getting any enjoyment out of driving at 1 mph and being guided where to go by some dude in front of me. MUdding is much more independant and active. THis is mind numbing.

  • @MickScarborough what ever you like, do it, and let us do what we like

  • the driver needs to grow a pair i think maybe. I don't think you really need to go THAT slow!

  • i think i saw the undertaker

  • it's true this is a ridiculous amount of direction for such a simple trail...but i like to watch her do it. i'm a sucker for bossy ladies. the guy starts directing and i lose all interest.

  • OH shes so annoying.. It's like Marth Stewart on the trails....and hey filming guy.. easy wth the WOW and HOLY COWS... geez..

    sorry this video purely sucks..

  • oh WTF. just put ur wheel on the rocks

  • i see people crawling this slow over BIG rocks, with steep grades, deep cravases, and maybe a cliff. this looks like the road to my barn that my lowered SVT goes over

  • Dude, I went uphill up rougher terrain on my 03 xterra w/o any prior experience. How lame is this? lol

  • WTF is that lady, get out of the way!!!

  • pathetic.

  • Very cool nice job. I would like to see the entire trip getting to and over Mengal pass. To all the negative people why don't you plan a date and time were we can meet to watch how fast you can make this trip, it could be called The Death valley Dumb Ass tour and I could film you. I would love to watch you get stuck and then cry for help.

  • Actually, I'd like to see all the people who think they can fly over this stuff in a few seconds put up a video and actually do it. That would probably be entertaining.

  • @nimlil, its called a jeep

  • @m09c14 sounds good, post the video.

  • @nimlil, well, look at wayalife's channel and watch this video, similar terrain, well, until you get to the real trails, that only jeeps can handle =) watch the whole video =) the video is called achy-breaky jeep trail

i tried to link vid but didnt work =(

  • @m09c14 Looks great, course those are modded jeeps and waylife isn't bragging about it. He is actually doing it. So total respect to a non key board expert. Actually, I like both brands so I try not to get involved in brand wars. I do get a kick outta people that sit behind a key board and say they can out drive, out climb, go faster than, out do the people in a video. I read on person offering advice to Kevin Schwantz on how to ride a motorcycle and braking points on a GSXR video. Had to laugh.

  • @nimlil, yeah of course you could out drive me, cuz im only 16, im not a keyboard expert thanks, in fact i just came back from a camping trip which involved an hour hike into the camp, so dont go judging people, and i dont hate toyota either, i in fact like their auto acceleration feature that some of their cars have xD, but if i had a car like that, i would deffinately do that trail faster, like shit, they could of done that a bit faster. and yes i know wayalife has modded jeeps.

  • my 2wd 74 bus will go over this in about 12 seconds, get that lady in a car and keep moving, shesus. those fj's could go 20mph over that shit.. "watch your back left, oh my god, the tires in the wheel well, look out!" ah hahaha

  • @kbkagm Sure sport, clearly another expert on 4x4ing has come forward to offer his moronic insight. No, you can't do 20mph through that, not even with my FJ Cruiser with 35's and 16" of travel with shocks that cost $8K each.

Ever consider that much of the fun of 4x4'n is to drive slow and steady? It's called crawling. The point is they're having fun, maybe they're new to the sport of off-roading.

Yes, the lady is a terrible spotter, no need for one, but chill out, you don't have to watch.

  • quitate pinche vieja

  • not to say that the lady was a bad spotter, but really? this trail honestly doesn't look hard at all. I have an FJ and know what a stocks FJ's limits are, these are well below them...

  • maybe a spotter wasn't needed, maybe one was - depends on the driver. but, the woman doing the spotting is doing a SUPERB job. watch 5 or 10 other videos that show other spotters and you'll see that a good spotter is rare. she communicated very well. she let the driver know what to expect and her hand signals were standard and clear.

  • Gotta love the completely useless "spotting" or whatever she's trying to do. Just get the hell out of the way and let the vehicles do their thing.

  • Step on it!!!

  • Ha! I just finally watched the whole show. It's me in my truck at 5:30.

  • I was driving one of the FJs in the video and I will say that the lady spotting did a fine job and it was requested by some that she spot. That being said, she spent a year (maybe more) working for the Toyota Trail Teams and has driven and spotted others through some of the toughest trails in the USA including Moab and Ouray. She is VERY respected in the FJ community and a sweetheart so leave the rude comments at the door and learn some manners.

  • And as for the trail.. Yes. most of this trail was easy, and it is my understanding that this section is normally easier than it was that particular day. In fact, it looked as if a group came through before ours and did some trail DEconstruction. Most of us lacked belly armor and some didn't have a lot of experience driving over this type of terrain so her helping with wheel placement was a necessity and I contribute it 2 all of our rigs making it through with no damage other than 2 our sliders

  • I am the annoying woman in the video. Not the videographer and, therefore, not responsible for being in the way.

Sorry for having such a large backside and blocking your view.

Also, these people asked me to spot them. I didn't jump out and start volunteering.

I applaud the folks who said they know this trail is not that difficult. Perhaps in your heavily modified vehicles this is true.

  • @MMTurner99, my dads ford focus could go through that bullshit xD you dont need anything special to do that, hahahaha

  • @m09c14 Fail. Calm down sparky, it's all just for fun, and that doesn't look like much, but that's a solid class 2 trail with some class 3 areas; so it's not "nothing" and definitely not something your dad's shitbox Ford could handle.

Not every trail has to be a class 5 end of the world super-trail.

Way to open your mouth douchebag.

  • @verasforzza, whoa shit box of a ford, i happen to love that car and it is an amazing car, comfortable, reliable, everything, yes i exaggerated and i was probably in a pissy closed minded mood the 2 months ago when i wrote that comment, so im sorry if i insulted your favorite car or something, and i meant to say that the higher class trails that the jeeps do are just much more entertaining to watch, to me at least

  • the funny thing is guys she owns her own modded fj, has done rubicon, moab, etc, and travels with the toyota trails team so im pretty sure she knows what shes doing, some people are a little less experienced than others so she was probably just trying to help out

  • lol wtf, your gonna come up, gonna go down...well no shit its a rock, its like she would get out and spot for a speed bump

  • That's funny!! Hey!! Can I have a spotter?!!!! I am going over this speed bump!! LOL

O, o, o, o Can I have a spotter?!!!! My right tire is going over this pebble. I might roll over!!!! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha,

  • Man! This is not MOAB!!! It just a rocky trail. Who needs a Spotter?! OH, What I am going to roll over a rock?!!! She needs to take a brake!!! Yeah, right off the video!!!! The driver can doit by himself. It is not like he is going to roll over. It is like driving through a dry river bed.

  • I would have voted 5/5 if not the lady would be such a pain in the ass and annoying!

    therefore... 2/5

  • Does she spot for all vehicles, I would drive off a cliff,

  • the camera man is ready for LONGEVITY BREATHING

  • The lady ruined this video with her trying to act like she knows about spotting. Very annoying.

  • @thybigballs <-- knows about spoting? your comment alone shows you know nothing. she exhibited top notch spotting.

  • The woman ruins all the awesome shots of the FJs

  • @Dale21B <-- she wasnt in charge of the camera moron.

  • @mbvegas35 Did I say she was in charge of the camera? it's an observation that I want to see more of the FJ and less of a spotter blocking the angles. Shut your mouth

  • wow you can walk faster than that. isn't that the point of getting these cars? going faster

  • shut up woman. you don't even know what the hell you are doing. the fj can take so much beating and if your worried about it leave

  • lmao @ the spotter

  • Jesus christ lady just shut up and get out of the picture

  • I'm a Jeep guy, but I have to admit I'm becoming more impressed with the FJ with each new video I see of it off-road. That being said, it still looks like a Chick SUV unless modified.

  • You dont have to be so gentle with these bad larrys. FJ is tuff as nails!

  • No joke. that lady just needs to get out of the way and let the drivers do their thing. That is not that hard of a pass. Give me a break " Your going too fast" Haha

  • @brianski007 ikr like who let her out of the kitchen >.>?

  • @brianski007 try to understand, you dont need to go off-road in the kitchen

  • @brianski007 shes being a MOM, thats fine because mom are protective.

  • well, the fj cruiser is too cool, is the best truck of the world, its 4wd, 220HP,and more...i have a toyota parado '97 and its good , but the fj cruiser is better than my truck...prado has 120 HP(turbo intercooler)and 4 cylinders,4wd and automatic.....so i like the fj than the prado

    xDDDD

  • Small correction... the FJ has 245HP stock.

You can get a ton of HP/Torque out of that engine, I'm at 505hp with a URD supercharger, Borla exhaust, y-tubes, headers, ECU, fuel and oil systems, snorkel and some other work on the engine. It does 0-62 in 5.0 My brother has the White SE Trail Teams, he spent about $4,000 on the engine and got it up to about 340hp.

Prado's are definitely cool as are the Hilux.

  • Wow, my prado has only turbo intecooler, the other things of my truck are normal, and my prado does 0-100 km/h in 9.45 seconds, but i thing my prado can do more, if i ton my prado, but i cant get the pieces.

  • toyota shouldve modeled this fj more along the lines of the original fj40. theyve definitely lost their balls, and a future customer

ps, choose a better line next time, and better spotter

  • Going up mengel pass solo in a stock toyota 4x4 pu never seemed too much of aproblem. The only thing is getting in and out of the truck to make sure you stay on your line and avoid any frame hanging [ SOLO]

  • Did she work for air traffic control? Can I borrow her for my next trip?

We did this in the Dark a few months ago in my Wrangler, what a blast.

  • I've done this one myself, a bunch of times, both ways. You just need to know how to choose a good line. It ain't that hard, it's a road. I once met a guy up there who came through in a Chevy Nova station wagon with a stuffed bobcat in the passenger seat.

  • Whoa, that's stylin!

  • Too bad all the American car manufacturers are being bailed out right now.

  • Wow! I've been through Mengel Pass many times and I always do it by myself and never had to crawl like this. AND MENGEL PASS IS DEFINITELY NOT A CLASS 4 ROUTE... get serious!!! You guys make this look WAY more difficult than it actually is!!!

  • shut up..who cares..their trying to have some fun!

  • @dukviper90

why you guys nEed to coMmand them?

    its vEry easy wAy

  • and what would you consider a real truck u fucking pussy

  • This is tougher than it looks. Rated class 4. Much steeper in real life and you have to choose your line as to not cause undercarriage damage if you don't have skid plates.
