Any modern fighter/bomber = aircraft carrier killer. Aswell as any high yeild guided ballistic missile. In modern warfare aircraft carriers are only useful against smaller unequipped nations.

If Russia believes they can cripple US carriers with a surface action group they are foolish. This plays right in in to the US Navy's strengths. Russian surface forces will be lucky to survive much less shoot at US carriers. Attack submarines and ballistic missiles with satellite targeting are much more viable and cost effective threats.

I also believe for every Russian who wants to come to the US, there are 50 who don't. Resting on our diminishing 20th century advantage is a mistake. And I am sure our poor schools and low education standards will be our downfall.
