@CrashJSTest i assume you are young..to young to have experienced the joy of owning an older american car with chrome bumper's ...and chrome trim..and to have enjoyed the ultra soft ride of an older american car that no other car can match ..and a trunk space large enuff to park a toyota mini van in ,,,to get a thumbs up for cops as they sit next to you at a red light ,,,you dont get noticed in a toyota or honda..but everyone loves an old american car and its a good conversation piece everywere

@CrashJSTest i drive fords based on 60+ years of family owned fords and exp.,,,i stay away from toyota based on personal exp, in the early 80's and was really let down on what i have seen ...well maybe jap cars will be on top for a while , but i am willing to bet the farm that they will have company from american cars ...want to see something fun/..utube [ blown head gaskets]..no make or model..and see all of the hondas with this issue ,,,why so many honda's???

@CrashJSTest my mother in law was a diehard ,loyal toyota buyer..her 08 corolla had 3 tranny issue's ,,she got sick of it and bought a fusion and she loves it......why do import lover's find it absurd if any import has any trouble??..one guy in my shop sold his f150 only cuzz of his family grew and wanted something better on fuel..ok..i have no argument with that ,,,his 16 hour old accord was in one bay and asked why is that thing in here ,,he said the windows wont go up...go figure
@CrashJSTest oh i see,,if someone buys an import and has trouble its classified as a lemon..but someone who buys american and has trouble they are all labeled junk...why is it so hard for import lovers to accept even though it was made by toyota or honda that they also brake down as well?..he bought it new ..it was 4 to 6 years old....so your camry went threw a tranny at 215?...my 21 yea old merc with 306k on it still has its original drive train ..
@CrashJSTest he wont get rid of the vette...he bought the accord thinking he was buying something extremely reliable ...for a daily driver...i know he said no more imports

@CrashJSTest well i dont know what to tell you , but you should talk to my neighbor who bought a new accord..and at 42k it needed a new tranny,,then at 135..it needed another new tranny..well he got rid of it and now he drives his vette as a daily driver ..i seem to recall JD Powers and consumer reports saying fords quality is on par with toyota and honda..so who do i believe?..you or them??..I mean thats the same outfits who for 25 years said toyota was so good.so we can believe them right??
@CrashJSTest well i must admit i did go there 3 years ago for parts for my 90 merc..i mean after the garage fire it was in ,,,i had to brake threw what was left of the garage door and shovel a pathway to it..then scrape off everything that melted to it or fell on it...then clean a path to get it out..i hoped in , hit the key and it started right up and i backed it out , inspite of it looking like the plymouth in christine replacing some melted parts and a hood i think it did very well
@CrashJSTest actually since you bring it up ..i was there a few days ago looking for a replacement bumper for a nissan pick up ,,,of coarse they were all rotted out like the one i wanted to replace....you are correct , monthly repairs are not normal...that's what i keep telling my neighbor with his honda but he insisted his car is good ........i mean after repairs ...

Even if it's a foreign company, I'd rather support them anyday if they actually hire AMERICAN workers instead of Pedro in Mexico or Jacques in Canada. Atleast they will spend the money locally, supporting the local economy
