editting the settings involves playing around with scripts, if you don't understand the scripts then you're screwed. too much busywork when my win 7 gadgets do the same thing. this is the second time i'm removing this program. i give up with it completely now. i ain't even gonna trial it. it's NOT very user friendly. even less so if you're in the UK

I found this, downloaded as it looked good, and the things it can do are, but only if you can work out how to do it. ¬_¬ Bad tutorials made it pointless for me, and none of the weather sites would work in the UK.

Shame as it looks really useful :(

-> Control Panel --> Appearance & Customization ----> Windows Sidebar Properties ------> Start Sidebar When Windows Starts (Uncheck this option)

Done. No more Windows sidebar on startup. Rainmeter's sidebar is so much more cool and customizable. You want your Windows to look less lame? learn to use Rainmeter, if your a noob, then learn basic scripting

Ok, I have one problem. Everytime I turn off my computer and start it again the computer the rainmeter starts like if a hadn't done anything. Can anyone help me?

i installed rainmeter with enigma which is badass, but for some reason i cant get the notes portion of the skin to work. I click on the little box with the checkmark and I dont get a notepad thing opening up for me to type in it and save anything i type :/
